We really liked the ”Happy Traveler.” It's so centrally located, really nice, and decorated in keeping with its name. The rooms were suitable for single travelers, but with a large bed; really good, and everything was very clean and included toiletries. The rooms face the inner courtyard; the windows have shutters on the inside to reduce noise. It gets loud outside in the courtyard in the evenings because people sit there and party. The hotel warns about this beforehand, and every room is provided with earplugs. My opinion is, you either go out partying late yourself or you can handle it, because it's really loud 🙃 The breakfast is plentiful and excellent! The staff is very friendly!
The single room is very small. The breakfast is mainly cold dishes such as bread spread/cheese and fruit, as well as one or two hot dishes. Toothbrushes and indoor slippers are not provided. The front desk is nice, but the facilities are really just that. The location is very convenient
Despite this hotel is a bit far from the city, it has given us the farm staycation vibe that we need. The room is huge! We selected Executive King with view. And yes the view is just breathtaking 🤩 there are two types of view; Sunrise (facing road and greeneries) and Sunset (facing lake) both are equally amazing! Also bustop is just outside abt 10 mins walk to bring you to the central. The plus point here is there’s a huge lake and a green landscape where you can just take a stroll or rent a bike at the hotel. Not forgetting the indoor swimming pool!Highly recommended for those needed a relax vacation ❤️
The hotel is right in the centre of Veendam, and whilst it's not luxurious, it's clean and comfortable. The bar is excellent, their own beers are also very good, and there's a wide range of others available should you prefer. The food in the restaurant was also pretty good, being tasty and generous. We'll certainly be back!
The room was very clean, the coffee downstairs was free to drink, and there was instant coffee in the room, which was very good! The surrounding area is very close to the University of Groningen and the University Medical Center of Groningen, and it is a 5-10-minute walk to the commercial pedestrian street.
Nice place. Very good hotel for business or family trip.
Quiet, good localisation, clean, friendly staff. One small problem - work road next to the hotel.
What a nice hotel! A very fine, very spacious, room one, according to my puber son ”dreaming shower”. And unwise friendly staff. What an inspiration to see people with love and enthusiasm at work!
We (my son and I) have the tradition of closing the day/night on the evening with a ”sleeping in bed”. Unfortunately the kitchen was already closed, but the cook went to make a plate full of delicious, how nice it is!!!!
Parking in Qpark at 3 minutes walk and just away from the beautiful Groningene.centrum
We had opened the windows on the night, finer for fresh air than airco, but we soon noticed that you would be waking up from the students who were even more pleasant in the street. Can't do anything to the hotel, so the tip .... lock or lock in.
Breakfast in the garden was a party!!
In short, replicable

DDawn.R 芮莉The hotel is very clean with a great location in the centre of the city. The room is spacious and even though there are three beds in the room there is space to move and place suitcases. The room is quiet with ac. Breakfast is 18 euro per person so we decided to walk to Starbucks instead.
AAnonymous UserThe hotel is located next to the old town, so it's easy to go sightseeing, and the view from the hotel was amazing. The staff were all very friendly and I had a comfortable stay. I was also very happy that there was a bathtub.
