Pujing International Hotel

This 4 star hotel has a goid rating on Trip.com and I can understand why. However, I liken this hotel to a 20 year old luxury car such as an E36 7 series BMW or Lexus LS 430. Exceptional and glorious when new, but getting old and tired fast. On a superficial level the rooms look grand and sumptuous, but on greater scrutiny there are issues. One if these are the carpets, which are either in dire need of steam cleaning on a forensic level of thoroughness, or outright replacement. Some sections are worn and faded, while many odd bits and pieces can be found (and felt with bare feet), that seem to have escaped the attention of the room staff, e.g toothpicks, other miscellaneous refuse deposited by previous guests. I booked a continental double room, for $68 AUD per night and there was a misalignment of the door with its frame. Large enough to see through to the outside! The room contained a sofa Comfortable enough but with fabric badly worn away. The white veneer paint on tables has seen better days. Having said all this, overall, the hotel offers rooms of a relatively high standard. Ornate furnishings, large, extremely comfortable beds and pillows, a huge bathroom with sufficient water pressure and responsive hot water on demand (bathroom has a smart lighting arrangement which switches on via a sensor). There are a dozen individual controls for room lighting. Lots of cupboards and drawers and powerpoints where needed. There is a gym but for some undisclosed reason is currently closed, of February 2024. Is a buffet style restaurant with several guests dining in it which looked very well staffed. Reception will go out of their way to give assistance with arranging tours, ordering taxis etc, and try to ensure guests are satisfied. In summary, the hotel looks good and to some extent is good, but may not be worth paying $50 US a night to stay in and was a little disappointing.
Grand Mercure Urumqi Hualing

Nanhu
This was an excellent hotel with superb services. The staff, in particular was very helpful in arranging drives to various interesting sites. The lady called Sophia spoke excellent English which made life easy for foreigners. The only thing I would recommend is that they make an effort to clean the carpets more thoroughly.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Holiday Inn Express near Urumqi Railway Station and had a fantastic experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and excellent customer service. The hotel staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction throughout my stay. The room I stayed in was clean, well-maintained, and equipped with all the necessary amenities. The comfortable bed and cozy atmosphere made for a relaxing and restful night's sleep. The hotel's soundproofing ensured a peaceful environment despite its proximity to the railway station. One of the highlights of my stay was the complimentary breakfast offered at the hotel. The breakfast selection was diverse and delicious, catering to different tastes and dietary preferences. It provided a great start to the day and helped me fuel up for my activities. The hotel's location near Urumqi Railway Station was incredibly convenient, especially for travelers like myself. It made it easy to explore the city or catch a train to further destinations. The surrounding area had a variety of dining options and shops, adding to the convenience of the location. To top it off, the hotel's commitment to cleanliness and adherence to safety protocols during my stay reassured me of their dedication to guest well-being, especially during these challenging times. Ruby Elegant Hotel (Youyi Road Meimei MM2 Shopping Center Branch)

The location of the hotel is easy to find, and the front desk service is warm and friendly. Especially Xiao Su Xiao Wu's accommodation and parking are independent. Unlike some hotels where accommodation and parking are shared with other places, there is a breakfast area next to the front desk. The breakfast is also very rich, with Chinese and Western Xinjiang style. It can satisfy you. There is a free fruit area in the afternoon. There is also a gym, washing machine, and dryer on the third floor, which is especially suitable for outsiders. After swiping the card to enter the room, the curtains opened automatically. Personally, I think the room is quite large, with complete facilities, clean room, and smart toilet. The overall feeling is good! The staff are enthusiastic and difficult to understand, and they are always ready to meet our needs! The most important thing I feel very safe. All the people traveling with me have swiped their ID cards, and children are required to register for accommodation. Safety comes first when going out, hahahaha!

First things first, this is clearly a knock-off ‘Hampton by Hilton’ - branding the same, room design the same, and to be fair they’ve done a decent job of it. Room was modern, spacious and clean. Unfortunately, that’s about as positive as I can be about my stay. The location is fine, albeit not many good local restaurants or sights within walking distance, you’ll need to get a taxi. Service at front desk was inattentive and unprofessional. When I tried to use the phone in the room to call front desk and/or housekeeping, the line automatically disconnected. The worst aspect of my stay was the “smart” aspects of the room. Firstly, the aircon does not work. It was 34/35 degrees throughout my stay and despite putting the aircon on 16 degrees with maximum fans, the temperature in the room barely dropped below 27/28 degrees all night. Bring your own fan! The “smart” controls meant that all the lights in the bathroom came on as soon as you moved, which is not what you want in the middle of the night. Equally, the control panel was blinking constantly, right next to the bed, which was very annoying if that kind of thing affects your sleep (it does mine). Worst of all was the TV that simply would not turn off, and was incredibly bright, right in front of the bed. I ended up having to dismount the TV from the wall and completely unplugging it just to get the room semi-dark. Incredibly annoying. If you want a dark room, with a comfortable temperature, this is not the place for you… Its a shame, because the hotel has potential, but as it is I can’t recommend it given these fairly fundamental issues.
Mercure Kashgar (Gucheng Scenic Area)

Good location close to the ancient city and the big streets. Nice service, we got free fruit each day (and yoghurt which they didn't put in the fridge?) but the disappointment is the smoke smell. Rooms a little bit and elevator often.

The room is well equipped. I went to the gym twice and felt comfortable after training. The staff are enthusiastic and well-trained. I had a fever on the 28th and the hotel gave me ginger syrup. Su Qi, Ma Lanhua and **Hui at the front desk are worth recommending [Concerned] The wrong invoice was issued once during the process, but Miss Su Qi was very patient and issued it again. The most exciting thing about the hotel is the parking. The upper floor is separated and has two lanes. The garage is spacious and bright. Hotels with garages in winter are worth recommending.
Grand Hotel Chogori

In the county town at the border of the motherland, this hotel really left a deep impression on me. When our car just drove into the hotel, a handsome little brother helped us with our luggage, and then another Tajik girl came out to greet us. I felt at home immediately. The appearance of the hotel is like a castle. The rooms inside the hotel are certainly not comparable to super five-star hotels. But it is also clean and warm enough. What touched me was that I didn’t order breakfast when I booked the room on Ctrip. The hotel front desk immediately gave me two breakfast tickets, and when I was eating breakfast, the Tajik girl kept reminding me and my children to eat more, because the next trip was on the plateau, and there were not so many delicious meals. When we checked out at the end, they saw that my daughter didn’t eat much for breakfast, and they specially gave me two boxes of self-heating rice, which really made me want to recommend to people all over the world that they must stay in this hotel when they come to Ta County. Let travelers all over the world feel the enthusiasm and warmth of the Tajik girl.

In that shower, it is best to turn on the small head first and then the big head, otherwise it will keep spraying cold water before it is in place... it will freeze to death... Finally, the small head is finished. The ancient city is quite noisy, and you can hear it even if you are not facing the ancient city. The location is good, facing the Spring Festival Gala stage
