They let us check in an hour early, which was a very pleasant surprise! 😊 The room was good and well-equipped with everything you need: bathrobes, slippers, toothbrushes, a kettle, coffee, and tea.
However, the cleaning before our arrival wasn't thorough. There were black hairs on the bathroom floor, which was a bit disappointing.
Daily cleaning was provided, and the water, coffee, and tea were replenished every day.
The breakfast was excellent, but if you arrive around 10 AM, finding a seat might be a challenge. Sometimes we were asked to wait 20 minutes because it was fully booked.
I popped into the beauty salon on the ground floor to get my hair styled for an event. My hair was already washed and wet. I just asked them to dry and style it with a hairdryer. I have a bob above my shoulders. They charged 3500 (Ruble), even though the price list indicated a different amount. I didn't bother to dispute it as I was really short on time.
Overall, I liked the hotel and think I'll return again.

Easy 10/10. Perfect location, impeccably maintained property — worth a visit on its own. Outstanding room quality, attention to detail, professionalism, and genuine friendliness. Spot on.
A small story: I handed in my shoes for shining on the evening of our arrival, as I needed them for a ballet performance at the Mariinsky Theater the next day. Somehow, the hotel misplaced the shoes, and I had to leave for the performance in my sneakers. Natalia from the concierge desk tracked them down, drove to the theater, texted me the moment the first intermission started, and was waiting outside with my polished shoes and a shoehorn — then even returned my sneakers to the room. Truly impressive and completely unexpected! It almost makes you forget the minibar price list (though I still enjoyed the $15 pack of gummy bears). Tipp: try the insta breakfast in the room - another 10/10!

Guest UserI'm absolutely thrilled with this hotel! All my requests, which I mentioned before my trip, were taken into account. I used to always stay 'near Kazansky' (Kazan Cathedral), but living on Bolshaya Morskaya turned out to be so much better! Everything is just as close, but with a more intimate feel. The breakfasts are super! Very diverse and something for every taste, and the pastries are delicious. My room was modern, very spacious, and bright, and the bathrobes were soft. The reception staff were friendly, and the Wi-Fi was fast. The bellmen are the face of the hotel! I'm so grateful to them; they wouldn't even let me look at my suitcase, responding quickly and always smiling. Thank you to all the hotel staff. You're amazing! ♥️🔥

Vera2020Oh, how much I loved this apart-hotel! I had a short layover in St. Petersburg on my way home.
So I looked for a hotel close to the airport.
At first, we considered a more basic hotel, but then decided that even for 12 hours, we might as well make them count.
Upon arrival, there was a barrier, and the taxi driver was afraid to enter the premises, thinking he would be charged 300 rubles upon exiting. Don't worry, you can enter without fear; there's no charge for hotel guests.
Check-in was quick, and we were assigned a room on the 22nd floor. Oh my, the view was magnificent! We caught the sunrise in the morning, the sunset in the evening, and the room was filled with sun all day.
Everything was perfectly clean, both in the room and on the floors.
The room was quite spacious, with large wardrobes for clothes and carved shelves on the wall for small items.
There were dishes for cooking, a stove, a kettle, and a microwave. Nearby, there are shops with ready-made meals and groceries for cooking.
The only thing is, if your windows face south, as ours did, it can be noisy from the road. But in summer, you can keep the window closed and use the air conditioning.
The hotel is far from the city center, but a taxi solves that problem.
On the other hand, it's close to the airport, only an 8-minute drive.
When we checked out, it was evening, and a girl was playing the piano in the hotel lobby. I really enjoyed the stunningly beautiful music.
And on arrival, female guests received a tulip flower because it was March 8th. It was incredibly thoughtful to show such attention to guests.
The hotel has a pool and a spa, but we didn't have time to visit them, though I imagine they are just as wonderful.
The hotel has a very light, modern, and vibrant energy. Definitely stay here!
You can even bring pets.

Guest UserThis hotel is similar to a budget hotel in China, but the price is significantly higher. This might be due to the proximity of the Scarlet Sails festival. The facilities are quite old. We stayed for five nights, and the housekeeping was decent, although they occasionally missed replenishing amenities. I have to particularly complain about the disposable toothbrushes; the bristles kept falling out, which indicates a quality control issue. The air conditioner is very old-fashioned, and perhaps not used frequently, but it's incredibly noisy. It's impossible to sleep with it on at night.

QuanquanquanHygiene: First off, a big shout-out to the cleaning lady who serviced our room daily. It was the same person every day, and she meticulously restocked all the toiletries and water. The room was spotlessly clean. I bumped into her a few times, and even though we couldn't understand each other, I could feel her warmth and enthusiasm.
Facilities: The facilities were standard, nothing particularly outstanding. However, the 1.8-meter bed was considered wide for the local area, so I didn't have any other high expectations. We were assigned a room on the third floor facing an inner courtyard, with no view whatsoever. Initially, I wasn't too happy about it, but given our late arrival, there probably weren't many vacant rooms left. Plus, the main road was quite noisy with all the speeding cars, so I accepted the room location – at least it was quiet.
Service: The front desk service was decent. On our first day, we didn't have small change for the taxi fare before checking in. I asked the front desk to help, and they did. On the day of check-out, our flight was delayed, so I asked if we could have a late check-out. They extended it by an hour, which wasn't much, but I was still very grateful. We bought beer every day, so we'd call room service for ice, and they always delivered it quickly and promptly, which was great. The only downside was the greeters at the lobby entrance; they seemed a bit indifferent. Only one well-built gentleman was very friendly; the others were mostly expressionless and rarely offered help when guests came in with luggage, even with steps to navigate.
The hotel's location is good, with a Cinnabon store next door. We went there for coffee every day and got to know the staff quite well; they were all very friendly.

Anonymous UserGreat location, very close to the train and bus stations. There are also many restaurants and large shopping malls within a one-kilometer radius. The front desk lady was very nice, proactively asking about my room preferences and arranging everything. The only drawback is that the room facilities are a bit old, but overall it's very good and the room is quiet.

MISSY CHRISYI've stayed at this hotel several times now. It's conveniently located near the metro, trams, and Petrogradka, and the line also provides easy access to the train station. The mini-kitchen was a big draw, and I've never had any issues with it – it's always fully equipped with everything you need. You can sometimes hear the neighbors, but they're generally decent and very friendly. There are many international guests, and everyone is welcoming. As for the downsides, in my room, the plastic shower head was leaking due to age. In a second room, there was a dirty stain on the roller blind. I can't comment on the cleaning service as I always request not to be disturbed. The bed linen is of acceptable quality. I wasn't too fond of the small towels; they're made from a different material than the larger ones and don't dry well. Also, the basic shower gel doesn't clean at all, leaving no feeling of freshness, but I always bring my own products, so it's not a deal-breaker for me personally. I imagine it would be useless for washing hair! There are similar good aparthotels called 'Valo Hotel' on Bukharestskaya if anyone is looking, but their location didn't suit me this time. I will continue to stay at Vertikal and hope they read comments and take guests' wishes into account.

Anonymous UserI really loved the location – there are plenty of places to grab a bite nearby, a 'Lenta' supermarket on the side of the building, and it's a 25-minute walk to both Moskovsky railway station and the Fontanka River embankment.
The hotel itself is modern with a comfortable lobby area. The rooms are minimalist and have everything you need, even a washing machine!
What I didn't like: 1. Neither my friend nor I had air conditioning in our rooms on the 5th floor. There was a fan, though.
2. The sofa bed was incredibly uncomfortable. I was staying alone (even though it's advertised for double occupancy), and I kept rolling into the middle of it in my sleep. I can't imagine how two people could possibly sleep on it!

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. What I liked most is its excellent central location on one of the main streets in Saint Petersburg—close to tourist attractions, restaurants, and all the services and shops a traveler might need. The rooms were spacious, clean, and nicely maintained. The staff were friendly and professional, especially the restaurant team and room service. Thank you for the great service, outstanding manners, and helpful support throughout our stay.
