I had a hot, uncomfortable disappointed, and we were in utter shocked that the room I booked was not in their system. As I was rebooking, it was not the same as the first booking then blacked out occured. During the blacked out the my booking end up with only a bed in dorm style quarters, public bathroom and no privacy. My first booking was a package trip from Cebu to Manila which still in a wrong date. The actual date for the flight was to be on August 19 @ 9:50 but the three agent that I spoke to on the 18th got my hotel canceled and only provided me a rebooked solution. Sure, I can rebooked, thank so much for making my simple trip into **************** with my family, along withy impatient high functioning autism, 24 years old son who doesn't like his iPad to be low battery and no wifi. To remind you that the black out still happening, so during my aunty and son lunch the black still going. I have no idea what kind of menu and price for food and drinks. As I saw the server put the first plate of food, I was shocked to see the mountain square shape nacho cheese beyond understanding. My aunty is only 90 to 100 pounds. She doesn't speak English and doesn't understand what she ordered, so she asked question about salad and a slice of pizza. But that not what the server brought, he came out again carrying nacho cheese, same size as the first nacho cheese/beef, except the second is chicken then a whole large Canadian bacon pizza. I couldn't believe the amount of food that was ordered then a Red Bull for my autistic son? My aunty was repeatedly saying that she only want salad and a slice pizza then water. What she really wanted the cook and server wanted to do is take away all the food back including the Red Bull. Oh, one more set of food, two big pieces of Burrito. The hotel is still in black out and stuffy hot and dark. The staff are not good listener. My son started eating and drinking the Red Bull, when I saw him, I told the staff that Red Bull straight might kill him of a heart attack. I also mentioned that my son doesn't know self control when it comes to food which is called glutenny . He already pass his regular weight. I heard my aunty said that my son ordered all the food; she had no idea what he was ordering. Meanwhile the black out still continuing till around 5:30 pm, every building around the area has their electricity back on but not the Papabo. Our booking still in process. The manager charged me for the lunch even though the mistake was the their service, taking order from an autistic person instead of asking his parents. The manager decided to booked us in the one room that has two bunk bed, private bathroom and has windows cause still black out. The room is stuffy and hot, it's on the fourth floor, no elevator and dark to go up the stairs. We decided to lock up our things in the room cause still black out. My aunty over heard that the electricity bill was not paid. So as soon as I got down. The manager charged me 1500 pesos cash plus 1200 pesos for lunch that I only got to eat two slices of pizza and a couple of bite of nacho beef. I didn't get to have the burritos. The Papabo manager quickly went to pay for their electricity bill after she spoke to the owner. My aunty and me went to the beach. I for sure locked the bedroom and still no electriçity. My son went to 7/11 to charge the iPad. We got back at the hotel at 8:30 or so and the electricity was on and my son also in the in the hotel. Do recognized that the hotel keys was an actual key, and I only have the key with. In my surprised our bedroom door was wide open, our things are scattered on the chair and table. Now, just today at this time, I'm still looking for my necklace that has my Mom piece of earing, my oldest son alligator tooth pendant and my initial pendant A. I'll call the hotel when I finished looking at our things here.Yap, my necklace is missing.

I was very disappointed after seeing breakfast buffet in this hotel! Knowing that it wasn’t cheap hotel and has lots of branches over Philippines, I didn’t expect that the buffet would be considering only Philippino and Chinese taste. Eggs weren’t even cooked well, hash brown smelled with old oil, most of the food contains pork, not much fruit choice ( only two ) , coffee tasted as though coffee machine wasn’t cleaned for ages. I raised a complaint knowing I had food poisoning after 2 consecutive days! All I heard is sorry we can provide you veggies … is it a best offer knowing how much we paid for this hotel! Then at least give people option of not including breakfast to the room price. Concerning room no problem, clean and nice.

Overall, this was a satisfying 5-star resort, with the exception of its location. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the security was excellent, making for a comfortable and safe stay within the resort. There were also various activities offered by the resort, so there was plenty to enjoy without even having to leave. Most notably, the swimming pool is absolutely beautiful. It was even more stunning in person than in photos, and I'd be willing to return just for the pool alone. The only slight disappointment was breakfast. While the bread and fruit were good, the overall food selection was less than expected. I had the pho for three days, and the taste varied each day, which felt inconsistent. Additionally, the location is a bit secluded, so many massage parlors and restaurants don't offer pick-up/drop-off services. Most of the time, I had to rely on taxis, which made getting around a bit inconvenient. However, the resort's facilities and services were so excellent that I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, resort-focused vacation. Conversely, for those planning daily excursions for sightseeing or food tours, the location might be somewhat inconvenient. Even if I visit Cebu again, I was so satisfied with this resort that I would book it again just for the swimming pool.

I'm leaving this review in the hopes that it will be helpful to those traveling to Bohol. 1. Location: Since it's far from Alona Beach, I had to pay an additional 300 pesos one way for the free massage pickup and drop-off. 2. Facilities: The room was very comfortable and bright, perfect for putting on makeup. The mattress and bedding were nice, and the single beds came with two pillows, which was very comfortable. 3. Pool: The water was clean and regularly maintained, so it was great for swimming. At other resorts, I've never been in the water. 4. Meals: Breakfast was included, which was simple but filling and delicious. It was also nice to be able to order other meals whenever I wanted, which was also delicious. 5. Service: The staff were all friendly, and since it's not a busy area, they provided hotel pickup and drop-off for nearby areas and called tuk-tuks for further places. Grab wasn't available. 6. Overall: This is a resort I'd stay at again when I want a quiet and relaxing stay, but the distance from the city center was a bit inconvenient. This resort is great for water activities. I went shopping at ICM for 400 pesos one way, but I like to wander around nearby, so I moved to Alona Beach and had some fun. Because it's surrounded by mountains, there were so many mosquitoes that I think I killed about 10 a day. Ask for an electric mosquito coil to minimize the damage. This is a resort I highly recommend, but the biggest drawback is the mosquitoes.

I had a wonderful stay at Mandarin Plaza Hotel Cebu. The location is excellent, especially because it is just a short walk to Ayala Center, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and well maintained. I also enjoyed the swimming pool and the relaxing atmosphere of the hotel. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and always willing to assist whenever I needed something. What I appreciate most is the combination of comfort, convenience, and good value for money. It feels like a hotel I can comfortably come back to whenever I’m in Cebu.

We had a wonderful stay at Mercure Mactan and were very happy with our experience. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and conveniently located in Mactan Newtown, where there are plenty of food options, restaurants, and cafes, all just a short walk from the hotel. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We were also celebrating a birthday during our stay, and the hotel kindly prepared a simple cake for us, which we really appreciated. It was a lovely little touch that made the celebration more special. Another great thing is that guests can enjoy access to the pool and beach in Mactan Newtown, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The only area that could be improved is the breakfast selection, but it wasn’t a major issue and didn’t take away from our overall experience. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely consider coming back!

Although I checked in quite late and was unable to experience all of the services, I was still very satisfied with my stay. All of the staff were incredibly considerate, but what impressed me the most was how they always greeted and assisted guests with a genuine smile. They did their best to accommodate every request, so I honestly found it difficult to have anything to complain about. Perhaps because the weather wasn’t ideal, I felt that the hotel’s exterior had a much stronger visual impact than the view from inside the room.

Everything was well maintained, and the bed was especially comfortable, which made it easy to get a good night’s sleep after a long day. I also appreciated how clean the bathroom and other areas of the room were. You can really tell that the hotel puts effort into maintaining a good standard of cleanliness. The location was also convenient, making it easy for us to get around and access nearby places. The overall atmosphere of the hotel was peaceful and relaxing, which made our stay even more enjoyable. What I appreciated most was the overall service. Sometimes a hotel can have beautiful rooms, but it’s the staff and the little details that really make the experience memorable. Here, we felt genuinely welcomed and well looked after. Any questions or requests we had were handled politely and efficiently. Overall, I’m very happy with our stay and would definitely consider coming back again. It was a comfortable, pleasant, and stress-free experience from beginning to end. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable place with friendly staff and great service. HONEST EXPERIENCE and Please read for the CONS🧡 Bluewater Sumilon Island is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful resorts we’ve visited. The private island setting, surrounded by clear waters, creates a unique and relaxing experience. We also appreciated that the resort provides complimentary boat transfers for checked-in guests. The transfer was smooth, organized, and only took around 15 minutes. Our room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with complete amenities and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Although our assigned room was quite far from the main areas, the resort’s shuttle service helped make transportation easier. The food exceeded our expectations. Both dinner and breakfast were served buffet-style, offering a wide variety of choices. Everything was well-prepared and enjoyable. One of the highlights of our stay was the staff. The activity guides, lifeguards, restaurant staff, and service personnel were consistently warm, welcoming, and accommodating. They were approachable and attentive to our requests throughout our stay. We also had an unexpected medical situation involving one of our senior companions, and we were grateful that there was a nurse on duty. The assistance and care provided were professional and reassuring, especially since the incident happened in the evening. However, there were also areas that could be improved. Our experience with the reception staff was disappointing compared to the excellent service provided by the rest of the team. Communication felt rushed, and at times multiple guests were being addressed simultaneously, which came across as unprofessional and less welcoming. The resort shuttle service also seemed overwhelmed during peak hours. With many guests needing transportation around the island, waiting times became longer. Adding more service vehicles could significantly improve convenience, especially for seniors, children, and guests with mobility concerns. Our biggest concern was the lack of exclusivity despite the resort’s positioning as a premium private island destination. The resort accommodates a large number of day-tour guests who share many of the same facilities. As a result, areas such as the sandbar, swimming pools, and lounge spaces often felt crowded. There were times when finding available benches or fully enjoying the facilities became difficult because of the volume of day visitors. For a resort that markets itself as a luxury private island experience, this was quite disappointing. While we understand the value of day tours for the business, overnight guests paying premium rates should ideally enjoy a more exclusive experience and better access to resort facilities. Overall, Bluewater Sumilon Island offers stunning scenery, excellent food, comfortable accommodations, and outstanding service from most of its staff. However, improvements in guest exclusivity, transportation availability, and front desk service would greatly enhance the overall experience and better justify its premium pricing.

My family and I recently stayed at Crimson for a night, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. My daughter absolutely loved the place, and the only word she could repeatedly say was, “AMAZING.” The buffet breakfast was outstanding, especially the wide variety of options available for kids. It was thoughtful touches like these that made our stay even more enjoyable. The foam party at the infinity pool was also a big highlight and added so much fun and excitement for the children. What truly made our stay memorable was the hospitality of the staff. Everyone was incredibly accommodating, warm, and approachable throughout our visit. During checkout, a piece of luggage belonging to a guest from Room 619 was accidentally loaded into our car. As soon as we discovered it, we immediately contacted the concierge, and the taxi driver kindly returned it to the hotel right away. Overall, we had a truly wonderful and memorable stay at the resort. Thank you for the excellent service and experience — we would gladly return and highly recommend Crimson to others.
