Hotels With bar in Panama Province, Panama

I didn't like this room. I preferred the room I had in a previous trip. The buffet was ok, but we had a problem with one payment by credit card. The buffet and drink showed as paid on my friend's application, but the hotel said the payment was declined. They will get in touch with my friend since the issue is not closed.

It seems the facilities, cleanliness, and location are a hit, but I think the service needs a bit more improvement, especially the front desk staff. I can't say it's everyone, as there are different shifts, but I felt a bit put off by one of the guys. I think it's because I'm Panamanian and not a foreigner; he treated me differently. I asked him a question because I didn't quite understand the room number and asked if it was by the pool. He curtly replied, 'No, your room is standard, not by the left,' and then told me to use the card to open the door. That didn't seem like an appropriate answer for a confused guest. It's obvious the card is for opening the door. I've stayed here twice, and it's the same person who gives off a rather unpleasant vibe.

Absolutely fantastic stay! I truly enjoyed Riu from the time I checked in till the time I checked out. I appreciate the staff and the quick convenience of check in process. Not only was the rooms absolutely spotless and clean but their were plenty of elevators to get to the rooms. I really enjoyed the pressed juice from the breakfast the most (absolutely fresh and excellent). The breakfast buffet was a nice feature to have at our time there, along with looking out to the pool(do wish the pool was a tad bit bigger). IT IS A MUST YOU TRY THE RESTAURANT TASTE AND THE BARTENDER DRINKS. Absolutely probably one of the best in the city! The meal at taste was exceptional and the prices are perfect (please don't change because I plan on coming back). From start to finish Riu made my birthday experience worthwhile in Panama. I honestly wouldn't have changed it for the world! Thank you for the housekeeping for always keeping our room clean and us being so trustworthy of leaving suitcase and clothes items out and it wasn't even moved an inch. The beds were some of the most comfiest sheets we slept on in a while and the bathroom was so big and spacious with DOUBLE sinks! We appreciate the friendliness and excitement in activities and guest that we saw everyday. If you are not staying at Riu then what are you doing?

I would give this hotel an average rating. The interior decor of the lobby was strange and they kept the lobby and the floor hallways so cold that even the desk staff and other employees had to wear jackets. It was very uncomfortable coming in off the streets to such a cold environment. When asked of the numerous reception desk receptionists throughout the day why they kept it so cold that they had to wear jackets, they said they didn't know. I ended up getting a chest cold from the cold environment. My bed was comfortable, so I will give the hotel a 5 on that. But the room was noisy from both the outside and from the hallways. I had to twice tell the housekeeping to turn down their walkie talkie radios. Breakfast was about the same everyday. Nothing to write home about. I will say the fruit was delicious but everything else was ok. Not much selection. I had to have maintenance come and repair the hand towel holder that was just glued on the tile and fell off my first day. Took two days and numerous requests at the front desk for them to come and repair it. The maintenance man did properly install it this time using a drill and screw instead of glue. I will not stay at this hotel again as there are so many to choose from in this area.

Room was nice and comfortable though carpet had not been vacuumed in a long time. Had a massage at the spa. Extremely disorganized and inexperienced massuese. With 30 minutes notice of my arrival there were no towels or robes ready. She kept bringing things one at a time even while i waz naked getting into the shower- bath mat, then robe, then robe belt, then towel, then slippers. I told her i just want back massage and done strong but i had to keep telling her where to rub and to be stronger.   Other than that the facility was nice I used on line booking to book one day, then two more days then three more days. I always book for two but om the last three days something went wrong and somehow got booked only 1 person. Desk attendant told me $55 a day to change to two person.  I think the app which i didn’t use the first two times defaulted to kne person and i didn’t have a chance to select two person It waa extremely difficult to get a drink at the bar. I did manage to get a drink at the bar then moved to a table. When i got the bill for items at the tae, the drink i had already paid for was on the bill. The waitress corrected it, thankfui had the bar receipt in my pocket

Stayed 2 nights, hotel and room normal. In front of the hotel there is Av. Balboa, busy day and night, so you can hear a bit of noise. During our stay there was construction work behind the hotel, so the pool (which is small for those who want to swim 7/7 m) is not nice to use because of the loud noise. The breakfast does not offer much choice and with products not at the level of a hotel of this rating. For the price I paid the quality/price ratio was OK, but I saw that it can also cost up to CHF 50.00 more per night. We will return to Panama City at the end of our tour of the country, but not to the Méridien. Kind and competent staff, good WI-FI.

Feels safe. Room is spacious and clean, with enough amenities for a night’s stay. My hairdryer in the room was not working and at midnight the service desk promptly responded and checked to find me a new hairdryer, so also good service! Location also near to a lot of restaurants and cafes. Recommended.

All in one good hotel, people are friendly, the location is good, breakfast is OK. The shower was not cleaned during our stay, you see that on the hair on the wall. The temperature in the restaurant is too low, as in the US (sensitive 16 degrees). I don't understand why you can't adjust the wellness temperature (20-23 degrees). But this is rather a general problem, as they have looked at the Americans.

This is a very overvalued hotel, in reality the amenities are quite a low standard, rooms need minor renovations, and the housekeeping and maintenance services need proper improvement! Maintenance issues: the sink had overspread issue, drainage issue, toilet had overfilling issue with a noise, shower vents didn’t close fully, unless you master the “secret”; floor in the bathroom was steep towards the bedroom area, instead of being steep towards the drainage hole, the entrance door wouldn’t close without noise because of touching the floor.. Housekeeping: they attended the room only after i asked and reminded. Even then they once didn’t clean the floor, twice didn’t provide refills of the amenities (water, tissues, etc.). Only after my kind complaint to the reception, they finally fixed the issues. The reception and restaurant staff are very nice, kind, and attentive! Thanks and well done!
