Hotels With bar in Wellington Region, New Zealand

Stayed two nights in Wellington and overall, it was quite good. 👍 The front desk is on the 7th floor, and most rooms are on higher floors, offering nice views. The room was reasonably spacious and had heating, which was really helpful in early winter. Breakfast is on the 6th floor and had a decent variety. The only downside is that you have to go up a flight of stairs from the street to get to the hotel, which isn't very convenient for guests with large luggage. Sometimes the escalator next to the street isn't even working, so you have no choice but to carry everything up.

Absolutely loved staying here. Great welcome by staff, excellent room with a congratulations gift for our 20 year anniversary. The decor is cutting edge the whole pkacebus high quality. Absolutely recommend the onside restaurants too.

We enjoyed a couple of nights' stay at this centrally located hotel. The self service check-in and check-out process was relatively seamless and staff were responsive when we requested fresh towels and sheets. The room was comfortable and spacious enough for us, although there is no window (other than a small skylight).

A great hotel exemplified by the very strong hospitality offered upon check-in. Room upgrade offered for a very small fee, checks undertaken and even a free, warmed cookie. Upgraded room was spacious and comfortable and the hotel is located a 2 minute walk from the waterfront and a selection of great eateries. Breakfast was very good and lots to choose from. Would definitely use again.

We enjoyed our stay here at Tryp. The staff were friendly the room was clean and we had everything we needed during our stay. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in Wellington.

This was a short stopover in Wellington to board the early morning ferry to Picton as the hotel location was perfect for the city and ferry.. However we were very pleasantly surprised with the quality of the Movenpick. The rooms were clean and comfortable with all of the amenities you would expect and more. We were delighted with the complimentary chocolate buffet at 4pm most unexpected but delicious. The staff were also very helpful and friendly.

This hotel has a fantastic design; it's very unique and stylish. The color scheme is absolutely beautiful. Plus, it was great value for money this time around. I hope they'll have more promotions in the future because I'd definitely stay here again and recommend it to my friends. A really excellent experience! The front desk staff were incredibly warm and responsible.

The breakfast is good. The bread, fruit and juice are all great. The room is more business-like. There is a slope at the entrance, but the view is good. The bakery around in the early morning is very high-end for office workers.

The location is quite convenient, there are many restaurants around the building, especially many Chinese restaurants. The transportation is also quite convenient, the overall environment is quite clean, and the facilities are quite complete.

Seriously lacking in hospitality. Asked for a latte at 5:57am and was told “ we don’t  open until 6am” No newspapers available. Bellhop service virtually nonexistent. Room service was good. Front desk agent untrained and unsupervised. No greeting upon entering the hotel or restaurant. Great mixologist at the bar.  Kudos to Andreas the only friendly person we met not really sure what his position is there but he was great, helpful and kind to two old ladies with multiple bags.  No hand soap in the bathroom and towels were not changed.  $45.00 per day valet car service seems a bit much given that there really isn’t another option. We stayed in a “superior double double “ Not sure what superior meant. One of the beds was hard up against a wall. Less than a meter between end of beds and desk/tv stand. Entertainment system did not offer any pay as you go options just a bunch of sky. No Netflix type options. I will not be recommending this hotel to anyone and most certainly will not be going back!
