Pro:
- cooked amazing vegetarian dinner and breakfasts (without dashi)
- stunning isolated location in the mountain (7 hours from tokyo)
- open baths are beautiful and open around the clock
- room was spacious and calm
Con
- you need to call them to plan your pickup. They don t really answer written messages online
- strong tobacco smell in the first shuttle bus but not for the return
The inn is located at the highest point of the stone steps of Ikabo Onsen, and the room offers a view of the scenery down the mountain. Although old, but still well maintained, staff service attitude is good, the lobby has free coffee, tea and other drinks. It's a pity that I went to the wrong open-air hot spring because I didn't listen to the staff's introduction.
The hotel was very clean and the room was quiet spacious. Onsen was very good. The location was perfect just only 3 minutes walk to Yubatake. I really love it.
The customer service of the inn employees was good and very kind.
I happen to be a person of Tatsumi Kan employees gave up the road while driving the car, so I think it's really kind and pleasant.
Took JR express to Kusatsu. From train terminal take a 25 mins bus to Kusatsu bus terminal. There is a shuttle to bus terminal upon request. Take less than 3 mins to reach bus terminal. If walk, then you may take longer times.
I booked half boards. Dinner included. The dinner is super good. Free flow of rice, soup n side condiment. Breakfast was Okies. Takeaway coffee cups prepare for you.
I specially love the onsen. Robe n slippers had prepared in room for your usage.
Kusatsu is a place to have a short getaway from Tokyo.
[Location]
It's easy because there is a shuttle bus from Minakami Station.
【service】
He is very polite and looks at our customers.
(If you accidentally dropped the ingredients during the breakfast buffet, an employee at a distance told me ”I'm OK as it is.”)
[Cleanliness]
I thought the exterior was a bit rough (the exterior of the lobby was beautiful), but the interior was very beautiful. Surprisingly beautiful.
[Facilities and amenities]
・ You can drink coffee and apple juice freely in the lounge. (I drank apple juice but it was very delicious.)
-Take toilet paper in the room toilet
It is a bit disappointing that the rattling sound reverberates in the bedroom.
・ There is a fireplace beside the lobby and it looks like an Instagram.
[General]
The hotel itself was very beautiful and the service was good.
I would definitely stay here when I went over the water.
You can have a nice experience.
The room is not only fashionable, but also
Clean and amenities are sufficient.
The bed was comfortable and comfortable.
I stayed on the 3 floor but the stairs part was very nice and I was moving the stairs.
The central object is Mika Ninagawa's work, whose facial expression changes depending on the time of writing.
I was sorry that the restaurant was looking forward to it without knowing it was a reservation system.
When I told the person in charge that there was a diet restriction, I was impressed that everyone shared it and took care of it.
You can stay with peace of mind because it is a hotel that can be considered as well as beauty.
The hotel was clean, the breakfast was abundant, and the service was warm and attentive. The location is convenient, very close to the central station, and nearby supermarkets like 7-Eleven are very handy. I recommend staying here.
An old hot spring hotel, with a large room and a nice view outside the window. We booked a Japanese style room (few domestic guests). The hot spring is very comfortable, one night stay and two meals, buffet style, good service, and they greeted everyone they met. There were performances at night, just like a resort hotel. The hotel has a shuttle bus to the station, which is not suitable for our time. It only takes 5 or 6 minutes to walk. It is also very close to Yubatake, about 7 or 8 minutes to walk, and Nishikawahara Park is also on the way. You can walk around. Not bad, not bad.
Great hot spring hotel ♨️ and also very famous, it is said to have a bit of history ~ the room is very big, and the staff will carefully write the guest's name on the door after booking. There is a parking lot right in front of the hotel. There are some souvenirs on the first floor for guests to choose and buy. The price is moderate-the whole hotel is very quiet. There is an observation deck on the top floor, and there are places to eat and drink. It is above the housing floor, the housing is on the middle floor, and the hot spring is under the housing floor.

GGuest UserWe stayed here for 2 comfortable nights. Their staffs service are awesome, friendly and helpful. Especially Ms Yumiko service is always smiling, approachable, helpful and kind, who served us 2 nights for our meals with compassion. Room was comfortable with delicious authentic Japanese meals send our room. Onsen hot bath was clean with nice mountain view. Highly recommended to stay in this Onsen Inn. Very quiet, peaceful and calm place to rest 👍🏻
GGuest UserThe hotel is clean and the service is very good!
The environment is quiet and quiet, and it is a good place for vacation and leisure.
There are enough parking spaces for parking, and it is best to drive in and out, because other traffic is not convenient.
The breakfast food is diverse and delicious!
GGuest UserWonderful room, service, and overall experience. The room was equipped with a gas heater that quickly warmed the room up despite the January cold. There were also cups, a tea pot, satchels of green tea, and an electric kettle to prepare tea in the room. The onsen bath was very hot and wonderful and the futon and pillows were comfortable. 5/5 experience!
GGuest UserIt's a bathing place, but there is no shower room in the room, so you have to go to the public bath to take a bath. The service is also average, it seems polite, but the corridor is carpeted, and no one is willing to help you with your luggage when you check out, so you can only pull a suitcase cart back to the room to take your luggage.
GGuest UserThe customer service of the inn employees was good and very kind.
