XD-WORLD7For our first stay in Nihonmatsu, we chose Kounkaku based on reviews on tipcom, and stayed there with my uncle. There are parking spaces above and below Kounkaku, and you can park in either. We checked in a little before 3 pm. This time, we each had our own room. Since our room was on the second floor, we were able to easily go to the large public bath and footbath. The next morning, we went to Seifu on the fourth floor for the breakfast buffet. From the reception staff to the buffet staff, everyone was very hardworking and kind. We would like to visit again during the chrysanthemum doll season. My husband, uncle, and I were all very satisfied. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

The staff were super helpful and friendly, food was also really good. The buffet had quite a wide selection and all of the food i tried was great. The staff also provided new bath towels and yukatas each evening, their service was amazing.
Our one major issue with the place was the cleanliness of the bath area. The rest of the room was super clean and tidy but the onsen area really needed a good scrub. There was mildew covering the walls of the shower area(which honestly wasn’t such a big issue). The real nightmare was the tub area and the tub itself. The floors surrounding the tub were slippery and slimy and covered with algae. The rim and bottom(inside) of the tub were also slimy. It was suppose to be a relaxing soak in the tub but it ended up being very uncomfortable having to avoid the slime all the time :(
Other than that the place is great, it was just really disappointing as the “main highlight” of our room, which was the onsen, ended up being the worst part of the room.

Guest UserThis hotel is truly perfect for a relaxing getaway. The atmosphere is peaceful and the food is delicious. However, it's best to arrive after 2 PM, and you should eat lunch beforehand if you're not driving yourself, as you won't find food available during that time. The rooms are very spacious and located right by the stream. The onsen bath is beautiful, and there's an open-air room with an indescribable ambiance. There's also a large, affordable convenience store on-site. Plus, free drinks are offered from check-in time until evening.

They offer a free shuttle service to Inawashiro Station, which is a great plus. Everything at the hotel was excellent; both breakfast and dinner were plentiful and delicious. Although the facilities are a bit dated, they seem to be well-maintained. The only downside was that the water temperature in the indoor public bath was too low, and my skin felt itchy after using it.

The location of the hotel is not very close to Aizuwakamatsu Station, but it is walkable, but it is not recommended. Along with dragging a large piece of luggage because the road to the hotel is very rough. The staff must be good. There is also a luggage storage service. The hotel is quite old, narrow, small, and musty. There is no daily cleaning service. But it will clear the room. There are amenities that can be picked up at the receptionist's counter.4/10

Room: The room was spacious and clean. I especially appreciated the heated floors!
Parking: There are two parking options: one on-site and another at Aizubukeyashiki, with a convenient shuttle bus provided for the latter.
Food: The food was excellent, with a great variety of local dishes to sample.
View: Our room overlooked a graveyard, so there wasn't much of a scenic view.
Onsen: The view of the night sky from the onsen was absolutely stunning.

The hotel is located at the highland so the view looking down to the Fukushima city is amazing, esp during the night time. The staff service is very caring too. Every staff always has a smiley face. The room we reserved is a bit dated. However all other facilities in the hotel are very clean, neat l, well decorated and pretty new too. The Onsen areas are clean and modern too. The food is surprisingly tasty. I truly enjoyed my stay.

ValKTFukinoyu is a traditional ryokan. They even wrote your name at the entrance and were waiting to welcome you by the entrance. The onsen was amazing! Left my skin soft and supple. The staff were so passionate about their job. Everyone was friendly and accommodating even though they don't speak English. I had a great time and would come back again! The warm hospitality and onsen is the highlight of the stay.

This was definitely one of my best experiences in a hotel. Really really helpful and friendly staff! You have enough space in your room, new towels everyday and an onsen to perfectly relax in the evening. You can also sim race or hang out in the lobby with different activities to do. I can only recommend this place and will always stay here if I come to Ebisu Circuit again.
