Cold, heartless & rude staff. Ruined our night away. Paid to stay in the penthouse- a night of luxury and it was disgusting. Dirty & run down. A shower covered in mildew & was damaged. Spiders in the corner 1 actually fell on me. It didn't drain so felt like showering in a public swimming baths in the 80s. The bath had a hair in which was fine but then I cleaned the hair to see it was actually dirty, dusty & hadn't been cleaned in a while. Previous guests rubbish left on a shelf, damaged fridge, broken glass wall, ripped hot tub cover, freezing hot tub ( despite the booking being made the day before) had a member of staff in our room till 9.30pm fixing it- so no time together. Had waited 1hr 45 for food so a tired, hungry upset, over stimulated ADHD meltdown occurred because they gave us essential a dirty room but charged me £300. Offered a half refund but asked to speak to manager as we actually got engaged before going- I spent the night crying with a migraine wanting to go home- customer service- if you told us the bath was dirty we would have cleaned it- I'm.sorry no it's your job to clean the room before a stay or at least after one. I explained I hVe adhd before coming ( part of wanting a relaxing stay) explained in my emails about the stress caused & it triggered my adhd)- 4 days later still waiting for the manager to speak with me which is just rude. Paying anything to have our night totally ruined is not acceptable but more the lack of resoect for us as guests. We are both gluten & dairy free but have biscuits & fresh milk left? The kitchen didnt know ingredients, just a stressful experience from the start. Was told by the reception that no one else complained- so that means what? I dont pay the equivalent of 3 days work to stay in a place that honestly a premier inn would have been better.

I didn’t know how to turn on the air conditioner in the room, so I ordered a set meal that included breakfast and dinner. The burgers for dinner were delicious, and the steak for an extra 2.5 was even better. There are many peacocks, which can be fed and are not afraid of people. After staying for three days, I met a couple having their wedding there on the first day.

We booked a room and catering for our Mum’s Celebration of Life. Quite a few of us stayed over too. We were delighted with the way the room was set out, the quality of the buffet, and the professionalism of the staff. We did our Mum proud. Overnight stay was great with comfy clean rooms and great breakfast served by lovely staff. Thank you to all at the Beaches for helping to make a difficult time quite special.

Clean facility with a pub and a kitchen for guests to prepare or store their own food. They advertised breakfast as well as dinner but I didn’t see either. No front desk so I was directed to call ahead but I never got an answer or confirmation that I would be met to get my room. The bartender in the pub below apparently is the person who gets you access as this is what happened to me. One shared bathroom for all rooms, I believe, though this wasn’t an issue.

The hotel is in the heart of Llangollen. Easy reach to shops, cafes, pubs, railway station and of course the river Dee. The hotel has a large car park for patrons. We were greeted at reception by a pleasant man and given our keys. He explained the times of breakfast and evening dinner. Our room was basic but clean, we had a front view of the hotel. The breakfast was lovely, great choice to meet the needs of everyone. We ventured to the rear of the hotel and sat out on beautiful tables with parasols overv looking the Dee and served with our drinks. There seems to be a staff shortage as staff were all mulit-tasking but were in good spirit. Will definitely return to this hotel.

Nice little hotel . Easy check in and check out. Peaceful and quiet . Spotless. Bed is so comfortable . The only thing they need to provide is bottled water , but otherwise it was fully stocked with tea and coffee .

Arrived and followed the comprehensive instructions to gain access to the property, find our room and collect parking permit - all went without a hitch. Nearby carpark has lots of space but can drop off at the door. Pass works across the county which is a real bonus. Room was dramatically decorated in dark tones and floral paper - and really worked. We had said we were bringing our dog - a bed and bowls were waiting for her in our room. Fresh ground coffee and cafetière in the room too. Small details - big impression. We had breakfast on both mornings - wonderful Welsh breakfast (with amazing bacon) freshly cooked to order. Dining area is informal and full of interesting art. In the basement there is a fantastic 20-seat cinema. Gavin & Chris put on films with a themed 2-course menu that residents can attend, but is open to locals - we got a quick preview: sound quality and seating are impressive and the setting is unique. Look at their website for details - we want to return for the experience. Perfect location to explore the whole town on foot; garden furniture to sit quietly and read if you want. Lovely hosts, lovely stay in this historic but very comfortable quirky accommodation.
