The pension is easy to find, and staff are very helpful. Beds are comfortable; coffee and tea are available; everything is clean. The only difficulty might be is there is only one bathroom for all the guests. We were here in low season, so didn't have much difficulty, but I can imagine problems in the high season. The pension is in the old part of San Sebastian, so visiting the most picturesque parts is easy, as is visiting nearby villages. Local food is excellent. I highly recommend this pension; excellent value for your money. It's the best base for exploring this part of the Basque Country.

The lady at the front desk was very friendly and enthusiastic when we checked in, asking if we needed a map and briefly explaining the surrounding routes. The water pressure in the bathroom was a bit low, and switching between the showerhead settings required some guesswork. Breakfast had a decent variety of choices. It's only about a ten-minute walk from the Guggenheim Museum and the airport bus stop. It would have been better if they had provided information about the airport bus service being suspended on May 1st, as we checked out on Labor Day and waited at the bus stop for over half an hour for nothing.

Exceeded my expectations, it's much better than what the reviews suggested. The location is excellent, right next to the Shell Beach, although the hotel doesn't offer a view of it. The shower in the bathroom has strong water pressure. The room has large windows, and while there might be some noise issues as others mentioned, earplugs can easily solve that. The room itself is also quite spacious. Breakfast was good too. When booking, I requested two single beds, and the hotel paid attention to my preference, unlike other places that often get the bed type wrong. This was a pleasant surprise.

It was a pleasant stay, parking is free and easy scross the road which is a bonus. Although this place is attached to another hotel which is much more impressive, it makes you jealous you are not there!

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel from start to finish. The staff were warm, professional, and always willing to help with a smile, making me feel genuinely welcome. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and beautifully maintained, with a very comfortable bed that ensured a great night’s sleep. The hotel’s facilities were excellent, and every area was well looked after.

The staff were welcoming and especially attentive to our arrival with our 2-year-old son. The breakfast was very comprehensive, and the staff were friendly. Our only slight complaint was that the room was a little warm, and we couldn't seem to adjust the ventilation. We would still recommend this hotel.

**”BAD: Beware of the 'Upgrade'”** Our priority when booking was the room size and budget, so we reserved a 32m² City View room. At check-in, the hotel staff offered us an ”upgrade.” He said that for an additional €25 per day, we could ”upgrade,” so we agreed. However, while the room did have a Sea View, the size was downgraded to just 21m². I told them that paying €25 to have a smaller room was a downgrade, but they insisted that the view had been upgraded. I asked to be moved back to the room we originally booked, but the staff ignored my request for an entire day. Let me ask you this: if you went to see a new landscape, and the view changed, how would you describe it? You wouldn’t say the landscape itself was ”upgraded,” would you? You’d say the view was different or better. The following day, I finally got a response from the staff. They told me I’d need to pay an additional €70 per day if I wanted a 32m² Sea View room. While the hotel facilities and scenery are excellent, the staff are focused entirely on business and seem to aim to squeeze every extra euro from their guests. In the end, we ended up paying the €25. **Beware of the 'Upgrade.'”**

The room was very nice, with a high-end feel, and a welcome champagne was provided. The front desk service is enthusiastic, helping to make restaurant reservations and providing various information. It's a little regrettable that there is no big mirror in the room, so I can't take a look at my whole body. I don’t know how celebrities would react if they tried on clothes without a full-length mirror when they came to stay.

Beautiful hotel, amazing facilities to work from, one of the best gyms that I’ve been to, it would have been so much more seamless if parking, gym etc were included in the price. Especially if the pool provided by the gym is not available, not having to pay for the gym one would make more sense

Overall, it's a great choice. The airport shuttle runs from 5 AM to 11 PM, every half hour in the early mornings and late evenings, and every 10 minutes during the day. We stayed for three days and rented a car for two of them. Parking was free, and we could take the hotel's airport shuttle to pick up and drop off the rental car at the airport. For pick-up, you need to wait outside the departure gates on the third floor. The shuttle is a black 9-seater Mercedes-Benz. Breakfast is a bit simple, but they offer takeout, which is very convenient. I would definitely come back again.
