Another fantastic stay at Novotel, just as excellent as before. It's my go-to hotel when visiting Shijiazhuang for business. The location is superb, with convenient transport making it easy to get around and conduct business. The breakfast is extensive, and the rooms are spacious, quiet, and very comfortable. The front desk staff are incredibly warm and helpful. A nice bonus is the complimentary afternoon tea. The hotel is right next to Wanlimiao Pedestrian Street, meaning there are plenty of dining choices all around. I even got a complimentary upgrade to a suite this time! I'll certainly be choosing to stay here again on my next trip to Shijiazhuang.

Our butler, Cindy, provided excellent service. She was incredibly responsive to all our requests and even proactively offered help, paying attention to every detail. Her service was definitely the most pleasant part of my business trip. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. As a thoughtful gesture, she even gave me some of the hotel's homemade cookies when I checked out. Next time I'm in Shijiazhuang, I'm definitely staying at the InterContinental Shijiazhuang Fuli again!
The room is absolutely large, with a private space design, not completely open. Brand new, good. The hotel is very good, but the guests are average, and you can see people smoking in the lobby. Xiao Yang from the hotel visited again and showed an attitude of finding problems. I don't agree with the design of the barbecue garden next to it.
The hotel has a great location with convenient transportation. This time, we stayed on a high floor, and the view was absolutely fantastic, offering panoramic views of the entire city. It was a really good experience for us.
It's very cost-effective. I took out some medicine for a cold, and the hotel robot delivered it to the door of the room. Some privacy and embarrassment are avoided.
The Anaya Lanxi Hotel truly delivers an exceptional resort experience! Opened in 2025, all facilities are brand new with no wear and tear. The minimalist wooden design, combined with huge floor-to-ceiling windows, means you can witness the 'Orange Sea' sunrise right from your bed. The complimentary mini-bar and cocktail tools in the room were a delightful surprise, and enjoying a drink on the balcony with the sea breeze is incredibly relaxing. It's just a 3-minute walk to the beach, and the downstairs 'Seafood Canteen' offers exquisite dishes at great value. The 24-hour butler service is attentive and prompt, and the resort shuttle makes getting around super convenient. The sense of tranquility, away from the crowds, coupled with a perfect sea view, makes this my top choice for my next visit to Aranya!

I originally booked an executive room, but upon checking in, I was upgraded to a suite. The front desk staff were very welcoming, and the check-in process was quick and easy. While we waited for our room to be cleaned, they proactively offered us drinks and even delivered welcome fruit to our room. The room itself was spacious and well-equipped. Although a few areas showed a bit of age, overall, I was very satisfied. The hotel also offers free parking.
Right downstairs from the hotel are Dazhao Park and the Anti-seismic Memorial Hall (currently closed for renovation), making them convenient to visit. It's about a 15-minute drive from the hotel to Tangshan Feast and Nanhu Park.
The hotel's first-floor restaurant offers all-day dining, and the breakfast selection is extensive. The executive lounge has been moved to the first floor, providing happy hour drinks and fruit in the afternoon, and a light dinner in the evening. The light dinner was surprisingly good! 👍 It included six hot dishes, with noodles, wontons, and rice as main courses, along with several cold dishes and various alcoholic beverages.
The only downside was a layer of dust on the headboard in the room, which was a bit off-putting. I hope they can improve their hygiene management.
There was no welcome fruit, no reminder that we could bring our own coffee to breakfast, and no mention of dry cleaning service, which was also ignored. The room had an odor, and the front desk staff were unprofessional. Initially, we chose a double room, which smelled bad, but we were later switched to a twin room that didn't. They told us the price difference wouldn't be refunded, even though we'd only been at the hotel for half an hour. It was ridiculous. Later, when I said I'd call 12345 (the government's consumer hotline), I was able to get a refund. Your building is a landmark in Xingtai, representing the city's image; this kind of service is unacceptable. (On a positive note: the breakfast was plentiful and tasted good.)

This was my fourth ski season staying at Summit Hotel, and it's definitely the best hotel in Genting and Wanlong. The rooms are fully equipped, the service is excellent, and the price is reasonable. Even during Chinese New Year, the price increase was minimal, making it the best value for money in Chongli. Every staff member greeted us with a smile and proactively offered to help with luggage. The Jinghuan Family Suite is an amazing value; not only is the room spacious, offering 270° mountain and snow views, but the tatami mat by the window was also incredibly convenient and a big hit with the kids. The hotel breakfast was rich and delicious, and the Hunan cuisine on the ground floor and the Yunnan cuisine on the ninth floor were both very authentic, with a top-notch dining environment. The hotel offers ski-in/ski-out access, which is super convenient. With the Yunlong Pass, you can ski to Wanlong and back, making for a fantastic experience. Fennie, the Assistant Manager in the hotel lobby, was beautiful, kind, warm, and attentive. She proactively upgraded our room and checked in with us every day afterward to ensure we were comfortable and if we needed any further assistance. Her thoughtfulness made us feel incredibly warm, and we'll definitely choose Summit Hotel again because of her. Having stayed at Courtyard, InterContinental, Fulong, Wanlong Longgong, and Crowne Plaza Cuishanshan during previous ski trips to Chongli, considering overall hotel facilities, service, cleanliness, and ski resort convenience, Summit Hotel is undoubtedly the best choice.

TTimLimBad check in service at front counter lady. Seems more occupied with her task than guest service. I have to call and request for our sofa bed to be open. Given we book and indicated a family of 4, unlike other hotels whom immediately arrange all additional required items such as toothbrushs, slippers, towels, water, etc. Here I have to call to request for each items.
The wifi doesn't work. I have to physically bring my laptop to the front desk for assistance.. and even that was not able to connect.
Breakfast, average as the food are abit hard - hard noodles, hotdogs, breads..
Only cons is location near to ski and restaurants but so are a few hotels nearby.
Free scheduled public bus shuttle to/fro train station, have to walk about 7 mins to the bus stop.
As a Hyatt member, this is the worse Hyatt Place hotels I stayed. I believe surrounding hotels will have better guest services and competitive price too.
GGary Ong Wei KiatAbsolutely loving this place! The vibes is totally awesome and a nice place to chill with lots of activities to do, though unfortunately we only had one night here as we only planned to hike Jin Shan Ling, but we will definitely be back for more next round!
Service and hospitality is top notch and absolutely grateful to have such a nice bunch of staff who were super friendly and warm. The hotel was near Jin Shan Ling (about 5 mins drive) and they even offered to drive and pick us to and fro the hotel and Jin Shan Ling. Within the hotel, they were concerned with us feeling cold so they ferried us to our room as our room was a few mins walk away, and fetched us from our room to the lobby when we wanted to hang out at their chill areas there which turned out to be really relaxing.
They served super sumptuous meals including a hot pot set which was great for winter and even offered us complimentary dishes as part of winter solstice.
One of the staff named Henry Zhang gave us a tour at their exhibition centre showing the various scenic areas in 四季山, 金山岭 and 北京城! We enjoyed the experience sharing from him and the explanation to the various attraction sites, appreciate the sweet gesture as he didn’t actually had to do that but he did so!
Room was absolutely great and spacious, extremely clean and comfortable with heaters inside the restrooms which was super nice. It was a good night rest for us.
Breakfast was their local dishes which was great too and super filling (buns, eggs, porridge, dough sticks, specialty cold dishes).
All in all, we had no complains from the time we checked in, super loved the experience and it definitely make us want to book another trip here again soon!

Jjoejoe_lohAfter a long comparison, I finally chose the South Wing. It's easy to get to the slopes (you do have to walk a short uphill, but if even that little bit of cardio bothers you, perhaps skiing isn't for you). After eating at McDonald's, it's also a short uphill walk back to the hotel. The room amenities are complete, and it's quiet. The washing machine has a drying function, and the elevator car is very spacious and good. Food deliveries usually come right up to the room, but for package pickup, you have to go to the parcel room in the main hotel's parking lot, which is a bit inconvenient. However, you can leave outgoing packages at the lobby. The shuttle bus schedule is clear and accurate. If you have any questions, just ask the front desk. The afternoon shuttles can get quite crowded, and you might have to stand, which felt like an extra workout! 😂 If you don't like crowds, remember to take a taxi. However, the shuttle to the hotel should be fine on weekdays. The gym and pool are at the main hotel, which was decent. I went for a workout there on my first afternoon when I could only do night skiing. As someone from Guangdong, I have zero expectations for food once I leave Guangzhou, so as for breakfast quality, forget about it. As long as it's clean, hygienic, and fills me up, that's all that matters. Finally, thanks to the hotel for putting my forgotten items into my ski bag and mailing them back. Much appreciated! ☺️
ZZidaKzmanEverything is so perfect staying at the unit. Mr Alan and team has been so kind and accomodating to my request, from helping to pick us up at train station during peak time, right throughout our stay, until we checked out. The unit is perfect, everything you need is available to use. Nothing has been more than grateful having him and his team assisting me and family during our stay there. Thank you again, and we really hope to come again.
AAnonymous UserIt's been thirty years since I last visited Qinhuangdao, and the changes are immense during this revisit. I specifically chose the Shangri-La, which is near the old Beichen Resort. While it's not brand new, this long-standing five-star hotel still offers excellent service and facilities. Upon arrival, I was upgraded to a balcony room, which was spacious with an expansive view. I even caught the sunrise – truly an unbeatable sea view! The hotel breakfast, though slightly less varied in the off-season, was still good. The food at Qinxiangge was delicious and genuinely fresh, much better than the seafood restaurants on the north side of the road nearby. The hotel also provided bread to feed the seagulls, which was a lovely touch. The only minor issue was that on the second night, we could smell cigarette smoke in our bathroom, presumably from another room, so we dared not turn on the exhaust fan.
GGuest UserConvenient access, close to Shanhaiguan, and a treasure trove of guesthouses within the scenic area!
Booking this guesthouse was the best choice for this trip!
· Perfect location: Right inside the scenic area, you can always come back to rest when you're tired. Shanhaiguan is just a few minutes' walk away, making it super convenient for exploring the ancient city!
· Incredible service: The owner was warm and welcoming, providing detailed instructions from check-in to travel guides. He was always responsive and felt like a friend.
· Perfect experience: Quiet amidst the hustle and bustle, I slept soundly at night. The grounds are beautifully maintained, the rooms are clean and tidy, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. I highly recommend this to anyone visiting Shanhaiguan; it's an absolute value for money!
11381116****The room was really big, bright, and spacious, with a comfortable temperature. Facing the sea, I could watch the sunrise right from my bed. Since it's off-season, there weren't many people, so I had the heated pool all to myself for a swim. Plus, there's a sauna! The hotel front desk even provides bread slices to feed the seagulls, which was a fun experience.
GGuest UserThe hostel is super trendy! Walking in, I had to make sure I was at the right place because the reception is a cosy bar! The staff did not speak English but we overcame the language barriers using WeChat. Everyone is very friendly and patient! Even the dog called 由由!
The cubicle beds are more luxurious than other hostels I stayed at. They are spacious and provide almost complete privacy. I also received slippers, so it was extra cosy!
The bathroom can be improved because without shower curtain even the toilet gets wet, but it is spacious enough to keep your clothes dry.
This hostel is suitable for longer stays as well, especially with friends because they have many activities and games at the hostel. Reception helps with the organisation of tours to the grasslands and many other trips as well (although these tours are fully in Chinese. So some Chinese language skills are recommended).

AAnonymous UserI would like to give a huge thumbs up to the hotel staff member, Nico. She truly went out of her way to help my family.
We had accidentally left something behind at the hotel after checking out and were already on the train to Beijing. Nico took the initiative to locate the missing item and personally arranged for it to be shipped by courier to our hotel in Beijing.
While the package was on route to beijing, she kept sending updates to ensure us where the package is at that moment.
This level of service was far beyond our expectations, and we would definitely recommend our friends and family to stay at Element Hotel for their vacation next time.
Once again, thank you so much, Nico!
