He contacted me in advance before I checked in, and all the requests were met wholeheartedly. It was a great stay experience. Each room type has its own characteristics. HHASKKI checked into the Regent Chongqing on Christmas Eve and experienced the festive romance brought by what I consider the pinnacle of Chongqing hotels.
đ¨ Hotel Environment:
My stay at the Regent coincided with Christmas Eve, and the hotel was absolutely brimming with Christmas cheer, much livelier than my previous non-holiday visits. They had set up numerous Christmas trees, with the large ones in the lobby and various restaurants being particularly beautiful and photo-worthy. During dinner, there were even interactions with LinaBell and Santa Claus, creating a truly festive atmosphere.
Inside the room, a delicate Christmas cake and a greeting card were prepared. The next morning, I found a Christmas stocking filled with candies and cookies hanging on my door â the hotel truly put in a lot of thought with these small Christmas surprises.

I stayed in a Luxury River View King Room. Although the hotel has been open for quite some years, the room facilities are still well-maintained. The separate double vanity, river view bathtub, 2-meter king bed, full set of Le Labo toiletries, and Dyson hairdryer all made for a great experience. The river view was quite expansive; downstairs was Jiangbeizui Diamond Square, directly opposite was Yuzhong District, and from a side angle, I could glimpse Hongyadong, though it was quite a distance away.
đ Highlights:
Beyond the hotel environment, the Regent's service is largely the best in Chongqing. The day before check-in, the butler proactively called to inquire about my arrival time and needs. During check-in, they provided a detailed introduction to the hotel and its benefits (even though I booked through Ctrip, they recognized my IHG Diamond status and offered a member gift, a Le Labo lotion, though room upgrades and lounge access were not included). Since I was traveling with a child, the hotel also prepared a full set of children's toiletries in advance, which was very thoughtful. Additionally, the hotel offers services like 3 pieces of free laundry per person per day, a choice of bubble, petal, or lemon baths, complimentary mini-bar on the first day, and a butler closet, making for an extremely comfortable stay.
This stay also included two complimentary drinks vouchers for the Two Rivers Bar, which could be redeemed for cocktails, beer, soft drinks, etc., allowing me to experience the Christmas ambiance of the bar.
The hotel's dining options are also excellent. Breakfast is rich and delicious, especially the noodle station, which offers a variety of choices like Chongqing noodles and laksa. Robbins Grill on the 2nd floor is also considered one of Chongqing's top steakhouses, and the Two Rivers Bar on the 7th floor is a great spot for a relaxed drink. All in all, the hotel can cater to various dining needs during your stay.
đ Hotel Location and Transportation:
The hotel is located in the Jiangbeizui area of Chongqing, on the banks of the Jialing River, close to Qiansimen Bridge. It's separated from tourist attractions like Jiefangbei and Hongyadong in Yuzhong District by just one river, boasting a superior geographical location. It's a 30-minute drive to the airport and a 15-minute drive to Jiefangbei without traffic. Nearby, you can access Metro Line 6 and Line 5. You can also walk across Qiansimen Bridge to Hongyadong, making transportation very convenient.

SStefan C PadI stayed at this hotel for 20 days and had a consistently comfortable and smooth experience, making it ideal for both long stays and repeat visits.
The hotel staff were friendly, professional, and very helpful. Even with a language barrier, communication was easy through translation tools and messaging apps and we had a bit of fun. I also appreciated the complimentary room upgrade, which showed genuine care for guest comfort.
I had the chance to see both the original room and the upgraded one, and both were well designed, modern, and highly practical. The room layout and smart features are clearly intended to improve everyday comfort. Everything is easy to use â from curtains and lighting controlled from the bed to USB-C and USB charging ports, as well as a self-heating toilet seat with automatic flushing, high quality hair dryer.
The hotel also has a terrace on the 36th floor with a beautiful view, which is a great place to relax. On the same floor, there are washing and drying facilities, making it very convenient for long stays and allowing you to travel light.
The view of the Jiangbeizui area is impressive during both the day and night, while the surroundings remain quiet in the evening, ensuring good rest. The mattress was excellent for sleeping â not too soft and not too firm â providing great support and high sleep quality throughout my stay.
The robot delivery service is efficient and can deliver food or requested items from the reception/lobby directly to your room when you orders things via WeChat or ** (food delivery app) which adds to the hotelâs modern and convenient experience.
The location is a strong advantage, with many key places reachable within 5â15 minutes by DiDi taxi, making transportation quick and easy.
Overall, this hotel offers an excellent balance of comfort, smart design, quiet surroundings, and reliable service. I genuinely enjoyed my stay and would happily choose to stay here again â and even longer, if given the opportunity.
The only small issue I had was with the air-conditioning configuration. I wasnât able to set it to a lower temperature that I personally prefer (around 17°C). However, this wasnât a real problem â the hotel kindly offered a fan, which I declined, and simply keeping the window open was enough since it was cool outside.

Ss.oya_Everything was good. It's not that hard to find as people write. The location is amazing, everything is pretty close, but when you come back you don't struggle with the crowd. The room was clean with a nice city view. It had a shampoo and shower gel in the shower, free sleepers in the room.
The hostel has a laundry that costs 8 RMB.
The host was extremely friendly and ready to help with everything. Even helped me to find a location from the photo. She doesn't speak English so every conversation was through the translator. But it was comfortable

GGuest UserThis was an absolutely fantastic trip! Both the hardware and the service were impeccable. The butler contacted us in advance, met us where we got off, and helped with our luggage. When we arrived in the evening, supper was also delivered to our room. The portion size of the supper was seriously like a full meal.
The amenities in the room were the most generous Iâve ever seen in a hotel. They even thought of earplugs and eye masks, and the shampoo and body lotion provided were excellent.
This package also included a superb dinner, which my friend and I enjoyed as an early Christmas celebration. The Basque cheesecake among the desserts was incredibly delicious. Later, when we were sunbathing and having tea on the terrace, a server brought us sliced fruit and some small cookies. In short, I felt that the hotel's generosity stems from a magnificent operating philosophy. After reading the hotel team's introduction, it's clear that their aesthetic, attention to detail, and employee enthusiasm are all top-notch. My only regret is that there aren't more hotels like this â I've already recommended it to all my friends!

GGuest UserBecause of one hotel, I thought of one city, and because of the InterContinental Raffles City Chongqing, I chose to visit Chongqing again.
The hotel's location is truly exceptional. Below it are Raffles City Mall and Chaotianmen subway station, and the famous Hongyadong, a popular spot for social media check-ins, is within walking distance, making sightseeing, shopping, and dining incredibly convenient. The sky lobby on the 42nd floor and the Crystal Skybridge offer first-class views, with the confluence of the Yangtze and Jialing rivers and the city skyline opposite all visible. The night views of both banks, especially, are dazzling and captivating, a stark contrast to the daytime scenery. Standing on the 250-meter-high sky observation deck, with its fully transparent glass floor, I was too scared to look down, my legs feeling a bit wobbly â it was both terrifying and exhilarating.
Although there was a minor hiccup with a room change, the front desk manager quickly resolved it. The room was spacious and bright, with wooden furniture and a light blue carpet, making it very elegant. The room also came with a welcome fruit platter, sparkling water, and local snacks. They even placed a pot of phalaenopsis orchids as I had hoped; the orchids stood gracefully, their flowers seeming to dance like butterflies, bringing a fresh fragrance and vibrant life to the room.
The guest services lady had a very gentle and polite voice, and housekeeping was incredibly responsive to every request. When she learned I needed to hang clothes, she thoughtfully provided a trolley, which was very considerate.
What attracted me the most, of course, was the executive lounge. The food was unforgettable, every dish exquisite and delicious, clearly made with great care. The service was also attentive and warm, with dishes cleared quickly and staff constantly paying attention to guests' dining needs. During breakfast, to ensure I didn't miss out on any delicacies, the executive lounge attendant even helped me retrieve egg tarts and baked egg pancakes from the Chonglin restaurant across the way. Later, due to a flight delay, they even arranged a late check-out for us, truly understanding guests' difficulties.
In summary, we were extremely satisfied with this stay and look forward to our next visit.

You can walk straight to Hongyadong from the first floor, and the 22nd floor leads directly to Kuaixinglou. It's about a 5-8 minute walk to Jiefangbei. In the evenings, they offer sweet soup and congee, which you can enjoy while taking in the views. The staff are also very friendly, always smiling no matter who is on duty. Be prepared that the room is actually smaller than shown in the booking photos. Soundproofing is just average; it's quite easy to tell who your neighbors are during peak evening hours. One night at 11 PM, someone was even playing loud music on repeat. The hotel does provide earplugs, which you can order by scanning a QR code, and a robot will deliver them to your door free of charge.

GGuest UserThis hotel offers incredible value for money. The location is absolutely fantastic, right in the heart of everything. I read in a guide that first-time visitors to Chongqing should stay near Jiefangbei, and it's true â all the main attractions are super close. From the hotel, you can overlook Jiefangbei Square, and at night, the neon lights are a spectacular display of urban prosperity. Right outside, there are three long queues for popularç˝çş˘ (wanghong/influencer-famous) shops, so you can grab a Tea Yen Hue Se (Chayan Yuese) every day. The room itself is pretty standard, and the sink being inside the room means getting ready can disturb your roommate. I was told breakfast was basic, but it actually exceeded my expectations; they had milk, bread, porridge, noodles, fruit, and yogurt. Plus, the panoramic view from the 29th floor made breakfast a truly pleasant experience.
