The location is great, service was superb, I ordered 4 beds-room and it was quite clean. The downside of the bed (room) is they only provide one plug for the type of charger that I have so it was kinda difficult to charge my phone and powerbank at the same time. The bathroom and 6 beds-room is only separated by curtain, can't quite imagine the experience. Also, they only have 1 shower for 10 guests, so you def can't be in a hurry.

Great location, one of the few hostels in the CBD so quite central; ＜10mins walk to the metro 15mins to Jiefengbei. The owner is very kind and helpful. Social/communal area is nice, plus there's a little rooftop where you can hang laundry. Good wifi in all areas. Bathrooms are fine, the bed was hard but comfortable enough. Only issue is that there's no doors between rooms (only curtains) and no lockers, so it isn't the most secure, however I still felt pretty safe. Overall very good value and a nice stay.

The receptionist help me to secure a taxi pick up from airport straight to hotel and even suggest a good hotpot. Thanks! The only thing i got a little sad is the free tickets because it is only free for mainland people, not free for Macau, Hong Kong, Taiwan and foreigners. Anyways, good stay after all. Thank you!

River Side Youth Hostel is a fantastic choice for solo travelers in Chongqing. The location is incredibly convenient as it is situated in downtown, with all the major attractions just a stone's throw away. The availability of a nearby subway station adds even more convenience to explore the city.
The staff at River Side Youth Hostel is extremely friendly and cooperative, making the stay even more enjoyable. Their helpfulness and warmth create a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. I would definitely choose to stay here again in the future.
As a party person, I couldn't have asked for a better location. The hostel is surrounded by numerous bars and clubs, all within a 10-minute taxi ride or easily accessible by the subway. This makes it the perfect place to stay if you want to experience the vibrant nightlife scene in Chongqing.
Overall, my experience at River Side Youth Hostel was excellent. The convenient location, friendly staff, and proximity to entertainment options make it a top choice for any traveler. I would highly recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Chongqing.

It was by far the best and most comfortable hostel where I stayed, and this is the very reason I decided to return to it and stay an additional night. Hosts were unbelievably friendly and hospitable. Great and respectful guests. No strange odors , very clean and perfect location , near Chongqing west railway station, airport and Hongyadong

Good place for a few nights. Toilets did keep getting clogged and the laundry machine only does cold washing. Beds were a bit hard as well. Staff friendly and helpful

Great budget hostel for solo travellers or students. Inside is clean and nicely decorated. Although there are some other travellers that didn’t keep their trash, overall its a good hostel.
