Date night at a European Bar Restaurant
Address: LUMO Bar & Restaurant, 50 South Bridge Rd, #01-00, Singapore 058682
Price: $100/pp
My date took me here for my birthday. It's a speakeasy type bar restaurant serving signature cocktails, wines and modern european fare from the wood fire.
He told me that this place usually get fully booked fast. The interior and ambiance is pretty good - very dim and jazz club vibe.
We ordered:
1. Smoked cod fish liver taramasalata, avruga caviar, crumb, ciabatta and EVOO - 10/10 One of my favorite dish of the night. If my date didn't told me it was liver I wouldn't have known. I highly recommend this dish.
2. Hokkaido scallops, avruga caviar, celtuce root, carrot and truffle puree - 10/10 The scallops was cooked perfectly and the size was huge. I recommend this dish for anyone with a smaller appetite so you can enjoy a 3 course meal.
3. White fin prawn, trofie pasta, salted kelp, lobster bisque - 8/10 The portion was very generous but the flavour of the pasta was rather flat. you can't quite taste the lobster, but the pasta was cooked to perfection. Overall a rather heavy dish.
4. Aus. angus braised beef cheek, hen of the woods mushroom, celeriac puree, red wine jus - 2/10 This dish ruined the dinner. It was tasteless. Skip this dish and eat their seafood instead. The only thing great about the dish was the mushroom.
5. SUNFLOWER - 10/10 A sour pineapple cocktail for someone who sour food and drinks. The cocktails taste good but weak in terms of alcohol - which is okay to me if you're not an alcoholic.
6. COMPASSION - 6/10 Not a fan as it was on the sweeter side of things.
7. Choconuts, 64% dark chocolate cookies, peanut praline, earl grey gelato, Icelandic - 8/10 not a chocolate fan in general but they gave me this slice for free as it was my birthday. The chocolate cake was rich and not too sweet. Perfect for any chocolate lovers out there.
Overall a cute place to bring your date.

chill vibe with lots of eateries around. the food can be quite expensive thou as it’s a tourist spot
The only way to go to Clarke Quay ~ was wrong at the beginning, so the white bridge was still beautiful and the environment was very clean and tidy. The only downside is that the landmarks are chaotic, and it is difficult to find a place on foot. There are many seafood shops at the pier to eat, and there are Chinese shop assistants at the door of each store to pull you in to eat, which is a bit scary. The tunnel underneath also has street performers, very warm and cute ~ The famous Songfa Bak Kut Tea and Treasure Sea Crab are all nearby, just work hard to find it.
The scenery is beautiful. There are Singapore River Festival on November 3 and 4. There are extra light shows and night dragon boat racing. Warm reminder, there are many restaurants along the river, remember to ask the price in the order.
There are merchants operating cruise activities on both sides of the river. We choose the boat family at the Corfuning Pier. There are many fewer boat families than the boat family at the opposite Clarke Pier. However, their explanation is broadcast on TV. I heard that the opposite is the tour guide. It is recommended to take a boat from here. Then disembark directly at the Sands Hotel halfway, and you can have dinner in Jinsha and watch the light show. I love the view of the river, where you can enjoy a wide variety of cuisines. There are German, Indian, Korean and seafood options. Wherever you sit, you can enjoy the views of the financial district and the river. Or if you just want to drink and enjoy the boats coming and going, it’s great too!
