Clarke Quay

Clarke Quay is Singapore’s historic riverside pier, located at the mouth of the Singapore River and upstream of the barge pier. Clarke Quay is also the name of a road along the pier, part of which has been converted to a pedestrian street. Clarke Street was officially named in 1896. Similar to Clarke Quay, Clark Street was later converted into a pedestrian street.

It’s so relaxing to be at Clarke Quay on a Saturday morning! Awesome ambience all around. You get to see colourful refurbished shophouses, the Singapore River, tourists and local taking in the sights on foot, on bicycles or simply sitting around even with their pet dog. Try going to Clarke Quay early for some quiet reflection while the shops and restaurants are closed not just for eating or partying in the evenings/night and you’ll experience something really different and refreshing!

The old pier here, Singapore is not big, but there are delicious food such as shrimp, shellfish, crab, fish, fresh seafood, all the best by the river.
