The cruise was wonderful. My husband and I stayed for one night. We loved our deluxe cabin – the bed was large, there was a balcony, a shower, and a toilet. The cabin also had a tea set, bottles of water, a toiletries kit (toothbrushes, cotton swabs, a disposable razor), towels, and slippers. The food on board was top-notch. The staff was friendly and everything was organized. The guide briefly explained the disembarkation spots. The itinerary included kayaking, swimming on Titov Island, and a visit to a huge cave. We enjoyed the cave and the kayaks, but Titov Island left a negative impression: there was no beach, entry into the water was directly from the sidewalk, the water was filthy, I climbed out covered in brown mud, and my swimsuit smelled disgusting afterward. There was absolutely nothing to do on this island. Unfortunately, there are no other swimming spots. Also keep in mind that drinks are not included, and prices are in dollars. Non-alcoholic cocktails are $5, alcoholic ones start at $8. Massages start at $35. Compared to the prices on the mainland, this is a stark contrast... The transfer to the bay is superb. I recommend the cruise.★

A wonderful day cruise around Halong Bay on the IRIS!
The ship itself is new, modern, and everything is thoughtfully designed for comfort. The lunch was very varied and filling, featuring Vietnamese dishes and seafood—everything was delicious. The tour guide and host spoke excellent English, so even with a basic understanding, everything was clear.
Most impressive were the views of the islands; the boat ride among the rocks and the cave were truly mesmerizing.
Unfortunately, swimming on Titov Island was disappointing: the beach is tiny, crowded, and I was afraid of jellyfish. It would have been better to have left more time to admire the islands, after all, they are the main attraction of Halong Bay. The crowds and scattered locations made it feel unnecessarily busy.
However, my youngest son was delighted with the jacuzzi on board! And the cruise ended with a concert on the upper deck and a fruit lunch—very soulful. The transfer was also a delight: a comfortable limousine bus, air conditioning, water, a good playlist, and the journey from Hanoi flew by.

Very cool experience! The staff was impeccable and extremely friendly. My partner was feeling ill and they were very accommodating, so we were very thankful. The sightseeing bit was a bit too long in our opinion because of the heat, so we would have liked to enjoy the water activities a bit longer.★

We booked our cruise with Taliya to Ha Long Bay and had a very good overall experience.
The guide contacts you on WhatsApp the night before to confirm pickup details. We weren’t staying in the Hanoi Old Quarter, so we arranged pickup from a hotel there. Everything was clearly communicated and easy to manage.
The bus ride from Hanoi to Ha Long Bay and back was comfortable. Our guide, Alan, kept us informed throughout the trip, explaining the schedule and activities clearly.
On board, each family or couple was assigned a dedicated waiter, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The buffet had a good variety of seafood and other dishes. We travelled with our two children and they really enjoyed the experience.
The bamboo boat ride was scenic and relaxing, and kayaking was also available. Just remember to keep some small cash for tips (boat rower, waiter, and driver). Also note that drinks is not included.
Overall, a smooth, well-run cruise.
