Departing early from a hotel within Chengdu's Third Ring Road, our first stop was the hidden paradise of Panda Valley. Here, swaying bamboo shadows and fresh air create a natural haven for the national treasure, the giant panda. Strolling along the wooden boardwalk, we witnessed the pandas lazily munching on bamboo and frolicking about. With luck, we even encountered these agile figures in the red panda enclosure, as if stepping into a fairytale forest theater.
At noon, if you choose a meal-inclusive package, the guide will take you to enjoy local specialty snacks! (If you opt for no meals included, you can choose to explore local cuisine on your own or bring your own lunch)
In the afternoon, visit the millennia-old hydraulic wonder—Dujiangyan, where the Fish Mouth Levee stretches into the river like a giant dragon, the Flying Sand Weir conceals ingenious mechanisms, and the Bottle-Neck Channel tames the turbulent Minjiang River. Ascend the Qin Yan Tower for a panoramic view of the picturesque landscape; stroll through the Erwang Temple and cross the Anlan Suspension Bridge to trace the intellectual legacy of ancient water management.
As dusk falls, the bluestone paths of Guanxian Ancient Town glow with warm yellow lights while the Min River beneath Nanqiao Bridge dons the dreamy "Blue Tears" illumination. With hearts full of nostalgia, we'll escort you back to your hotel, gently concluding this timeless journey through past and present.
