Perfect location, excellent breakfast, clean and spacious room with all amenities. Free parking is available just a few minutes away. A wonderful hotel.
My experience was great, open pool, easy to park, in the summer it is worth the money, what I would change is the slightly uncomfortable pillow, average buffet breakfast, lacks a little more variety.
I liked the accommodation, the size of the room, clean linen and towels, a large shower, good pressure of hot and cold water, music on TV, a large swimming pool. Breakfast is quite good, dinner too, no frills, but there is something to eat, there is fruit (pineapple, melon, watermelon and oranges), breakfast costs 7.5; dinner with a small bottle of wine cost me 25 euros. The reception staff is very attentive, they allowed me to change the date of breakfast and helped with the train schedule. The room was spacious and had a balcony.
Booked a panoramic balcony suite - room was fantastic all you could need, x2 bathrooms, kitchenette, living area and large bed and balcony with views. The buffet breakfast had a wide range of choices and was to high standard and well stocked - really enjoyed it ! I ate a snack on the evening in the mezzanine bar, it was ok but not amazing. The quality of the red wine and attentive service in the bar was very good. Checkin and out quick and very well organised and lovely communicative staff.
My personal preferences, would be that in the evenings there is a buffet meal option, rather than pre booked restaurant or pizza as it is somewhat limiting. And minor but attention to details - a suggestion that the room stock only local/Portuguese products such as the water, should really be from Monchqiue... and provided toiletries felt a bit random a mix of English and Portuguese - felt a bit like what was just leftover rather than a collaboration and quality there.
Overall excellent stay and will definitely be back.
Absolutely loved the two bed sea view villa upgrade.. the pool was clean.. the kitchen was well equipped and we cooked our own meals during our stay.. better to get groceries supplies from nearby Lagoa town as the stores next to hotel doesn’t have much options.. Algarve Saco and Carveiro beach is walkable distance and there are few trekking routes next to hotel ..
Such polite staff and very helpful always smiling. Rooms are perfectly adequate and sizeable. The amenities are terrific with a fun and large pool area which is clean and gets lots of sun year round
A beautiful hotel surrounded by magnificent gardens. We'd barely arrived when something unimaginable happened: a blackout on the Iberian Peninsula. The hotel managers responded in an exemplary manner: they provided information, provided everyone with a water bottle, and served cold meals and free grilled dishes in the restaurant in the evenings. The emergency generator also ran for a few hours. So, despite the uncertainty, we felt well looked after. Enjoying the sun by the beautiful pool area is also nothing to be sniffed at. The breakfast buffet was varied, including a good selection for vegans and vegetarians. We really enjoyed, among other things, the delicious, sweet fruit.
A Cozy Getaway with a Few Quirks
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Block C in a wonderful location near the beach. My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our time there, as the bedroom was spacious and beautifully designed. However, there were a few quirks that left us slightly puzzled.
Locating the signage for the establishment proved to be a small challenge, but it added a sense of adventure to our experience.
Unfortunately, the air conditioning in our room left something to be desired. It struggled to keep the temperature comfortably cool, and we often found ourselves feeling a bit hot. It would be great if this aspect could be improved to ensure a more comfortable stay.
Nevertheless, spending evenings on the balcony was a delightfully cozy and relaxed experience. The ambiance was inviting and lent itself to unwinding after a day of exploration. The surrounding garden and environment added to the overall charm, and we truly appreciated the pleasant surroundings.
I highly recommend visiting this place for a minimum stay of 2 to 3 days. Anything less would make the trip feel rushed, as there is so much to explore and enjoy. Despite the minor quirks, our overall experience was enjoyable and memorable. I'm grateful for the opportunity to have stayed here and would gladly return for another visit.

Very Good
GGuest UserWe loved this hotel by the Marina and the special welcome to my husband, who turned 60 on the day of our arrival. The kind attention was much appreciated. The room and bed were comfortable. The indoor Spa was beautiful (we did not use the outdoor pool, but it looked nice too). The breakfast was very enjoyable with lots of choices, a superbe view, and amazing live piano performances every morning from a very talented pianist (Fernando, if we are correct) . We could not have asked for more! Very convenient location for everything (old town, island boat tours, ferry, excursions, train and bus stations). Perfect!
GGuest UserThis hotel is very recent. Beautiful, elegant and well-equipped in terms of services. What doesn't strike us as normal, however, is the lack of little touches for a hotel in this category. No shampoo, no q-tips, just the same gel for washing hands and in the shower. No shower cap. An empty fridge bar. We appreciate the coffee machine and the bottle of water, but one normal coffee capsule and 3 decaffeinated coffee capsules... not logical...
We asked for a room with a bath when we booked (we were ”upgraded” without any request on our part, on a ”marina” view, but with a shower.
As we are not very nice customers, we didn't say anything.
The bedding is good. The pillows are quite thick, which can be uncomfortable for people with sensitive necks. 3 cushions are available, but they are all very dense.
The road is very noisy, subject to a few car rodeos at night.
I've heard that the rooftop is noisy in November, but fortunately this is not the case.
The staff are friendly and respond to requests.
The breakfast buffet is very comprehensive, but for the evening menu, this type of buffet seems less attractive, but will surely please some people.
The spa is very good, at 12.5 euros for one hour (equipped swimming pool, sauna, hammam, etc.).
There is a car park at the hotel for 6 euros a night, but free parking is available 200m from the hotel by the beach.
All in all, then, this is a fine hotel with a lot of potential, but some details clearly need to be reviewed to make it really nice.

GGuest UserWe had a little hard time finding the address however, when we arrived, it was just like what what we expected a retreat hidden from everything. people are eager to help, very friendly except they don’t know what a lemonade is bartender we ask for a lemonade they gave us a lemon soda However everything else was great love the people love the attitude. Food was excellent. Temperature was a little hot that’s expected from the end of June July. Thanks again for excellent service.
GGuest UserOne of the best stays in Europe vacation.. view was stunning and enjoyed every bit of our time there.. breakfast spread was amazing and sparkling wine included was cherry on top.. highly recommended ..unfortunately pool was under renovation during our however no complaints since the weather was too cold to enjoy swimming pool
AAnonymous UserHotel is in perfect location within the historical site, the room is clean and comfy. Beautiful pool in the middle of the garden. Despite all ups, the downside was the service in general, however the reception was helpful when asked.
Tips:
Avoid staying the same floor as the reception because there is a staff room next to you, and the staff come to chitchat in the room and the hallway (the same hallway as guest doors, clearly echo).
Beware of hot food running out from breakfast way earlier than closing time, you cannot request those eggs, bacons, mushroom if it's runs out. even there are many guests coming in and was no hot food.
Like other comment says the hotel is full of potential and personally we think its a very peaceful & lovely place with historical charm. Just the frontline service staffs around the place still far from that so called well service.
House keeping were friendly and helpful, gardening maintained well.
Enjoyed the place and once learned to didnt expect any service, Its was the best way.
**TravelWithMe*Great location. 15min walk from the ***** and 10 mins drive from old town. Everything was great in the hotel, rooms look great. Although we did have strong smoking smell come into our room a few nights even though balcony doors shut. The only problem I had was with the breakfast. Having allergies and dietary requirements were not really accommodated. Majority of the foods had egg in them. I emailed in about this before the stay but nothing was sorted out. I emailed a list of foods i can eat. I was also told halal food will be provided for me from the 3rd day with more variety for me. However I received no halal food/meat, and got hummus every morning out of the list I provided. Not the best but I gave up and stuck to just having potatoes and beans on bread every morning. They did bring everything from the back every morning which is a plus I guess. A couple of wrong recommendations about money exchange from reception too. Otherwise really good hotel.
NNaveen inder singhAt best its a 4star property. During our stay hotel wasnt at its best, so ill put 3.5 stars.
Hotel entrance looks like a train station waiting room.
For a moment we thought that we are underground as its dark everywhere inside the hotel. Toilets were smelly on the entrance ground, Windows were cleaned on Christmas last year i think. Dirty floors.
Rooms are dingy, but spacious.. Lots of cupboard space. you cant use the mirrors in bath area as its too dark. Water in Toilet bowl keeps on going unless you fiddle with the push buttons. TV Remote was filthy.
Towels are from the 10th century, use with care! Toiletries are basic brands, nothing oo la la!
Breakfast is good, not excellent. Theres a live station for omelettes and pancakes. Coffee from nescafe machines with pods, again not very 5 star standard.
Stay here if you have a good price deal but not high expectations.
DO NOT EXPECT 5 STAR SERVICE! You have been warned.
