Since we were staying on the 8th floor, the view was amazing.
The room was calming and spacious.
The bed was low, which I felt was considerate of children and those with weak legs.
However, if the bathtub height was a little lower...
For breakfast, I always have bread, salad, a few side dishes, and coffee,
so I felt that Japanese food would be more versatile.
Love this hotel. It's beautifully designed by 坂茂 and it lives up to his fame. The buildings look like they are floating over the rice fields. Both dinners and breakfast were excellent. Most ingredients are sourced locally and they are delicious. But what I love the most is the open baths. Both are small, but they're carefully designed with a tranquil, soothing view. I'd love to come back again just for the hotel.
After arriving at the bus stop, I found out that there are no taxis in the Zao Onsen area in the summer. I was in a pinch, so I called the inn and they arranged a free shuttle, which was very helpful!
As soon as I got off the bus, a staff member greeted me with a smile and quickly carried my luggage into the inn. Once I arrived, all the staff were very polite and pleasant, leaving a very good impression! The man at the front desk was especially kind and warm, and his soft Yamagata accent was very soothing.
The hot spring water temperature and quality were excellent, and the open-air bath allowed me to relax and unwind while feeling the nature. It was also very convenient to be able to watch YouTube and Netflix on the TV in my room.
There was an event going on, so the menu was different from usual, but the food was excellent. Everything was delicious, and I was especially impressed by the large selection of fresh vegetables and the many options available, including one that catered to vegetarians and vegans!
Overall, it was a wonderful inn, but there were some disappointments. Even though the room was renovated and comfortable, the unit bath was quite old and dated. Also, while soaking in the smaller of the two large (small) baths, the bath was so small that body soap and shampoo from people washing their bodies and hair kept getting into the hot spring, which was very unpleasant. It's a real shame to have such a wonderful hot spring bath only to be soaked in dirty water and soaps constantly seeping in. 😢
I really wish this smaller bath would be a private bath where only those who have thoroughly washed themselves in the larger large bath could enjoy a leisurely soak, eliminating the body soap and shampoo.
The service was superb! I went to the wrong branch, and they arranged a car to take us to the correct one, saving me from walking in the heavy snow. They even helped me with my two large suitcases. The view from the window was stunning, and the hot springs were absolutely first-class. Both breakfast and dinner offered a wide variety of delicious options. The room was also very spacious.
They offer different wines throughout the day, which is a great choice for anyone who enjoys drinking. The private onsen is also highly recommended and worth experiencing. The entire hotel has a strong artistic vibe. The only downside to the public bath is that there's a building in the view, which feels a bit strange.
This Yamagata hotel is excellent, part of the JR Hotels group. It's located right above Yamagata Station. I found it very new and comfortable. The 11 AM check-out time was also a plus. Being right on top of the JR central station is incredibly convenient.
The hotel is beautifully decorated in Japanese style. There is stunning scenery outside the window of our room. The dinner is surprisingly good with excellent service, well decorated dishes of tasty food. Definitely will stay here again in next visit to North East Japan.
thank you for your help.
I found it in front of me, the sea, the hot spring in my room.
It is convenient and delicious in the hot spring immediately from the airport.
It was good that the trouble was minimal because the grandson (boy five years old) who was fussed ran around.
Also, from the 9th floor where you can eat rice, you can see the sunset and the beautiful sea.
In the off-season, you can see the drifting objects launched on the sandy beach, but I thought that the beauty of the sea was comparable to that of the famous overseas beaches.
The environment is very good. The room is spacious and there is free parking. It is suitable for self-driving. It is worth recommending

GGazing EyesAfter reading the introduction of this hot spring hotel, Zaimu Sakaeya Hotel was once a hotel in a logging camp and a timber wholesaler with a history of more than 100 years.
The entire hot spring hotel uses a large amount of logs for decoration and construction, which is very unique. The single room I stayed in was very new and very clean.
Breakfast is a set meal, and miso soup, tea, drinks, etc. are also provided. At this price, it's a great value.
Since there is no shuttle bus, it takes about 15 minutes to walk from Kaminoyama Onsen Station to Zaiki Sakaeya.

RRobert QinLinhai Japanese-style hot spring hotel, the beautiful proprietress will come to say hello in the morning and evening. The Bohai Sea outside the window has a beautiful view. The interior is decorated with replicas of the Terracotta Warriors and Horses shipped from Xi'an, China. The hotel has 58 rooms. It is said that most of the guests in Taiwan and South Korea. After the epidemic, there were fewer mainland guests and did not recover. The room is with Western style, tatami hall, Western style twin bed.
AAnonymous UserThe seaview is great and the service is good, we also enjoy the buffet dinner and breakfast, although facilities are not as new as other similar type of hotels in the vicinity.
