First time staying at a Dormy hotel inn and super impressed with the level of hospitality for the price! 1. Public onsen and sauna are available on the top floor. Gender segregated with both indoor and outdoor (rotenburo) sections and the usual amenities. Only the sauna is closed overnight, the onsen remains open. Washing machine and dryer are available on 12F too. The washing machine is free, the dryer is not. 2. Free refreshment once you're done with your onsen. Ice cream at night and probiotic drink in the morning. 3. Free serving of ramen (yonakisoba) at night from 21:30-23:00. Head over to the restaurant at 2F. 4. Breakfast buffet is available and it was honestly quite decent for the price. Would stay at Dormy again if I return to Japan 😊

This Japanese hotel is truly impressive! The service is meticulous and attentive, and the rooms are clean, cozy, and equipped with modern facilities. The location is convenient, yet quiet and safe.  During my trip to Kinosaki Onsen, I chose to stay at the Kiraku Hotel. The overall experience was very good and I gave it a 4-star rating. The following is my experience of staying here for your reference. Rooms and Facilities The hotel has an elegant environment and is full of the atmosphere of a Japanese hot spring hotel. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the hot spring facilities are very comfortable, allowing people to completely relax. However, when I checked in, I found a small stain on the bed sheet, which slightly affected my first impression. Fortunately, after contacting the service staff, they quickly changed the bed sheet and handled it professionally, which made me feel at ease. Dining Experience Dinner and breakfast were the highlights of this stay! The kaiseki cuisine for dinner was exquisite and delicious. Each dish showed the freshness and care of local ingredients, especially the seafood dishes, which were memorable. The breakfast was also rich, offering a variety of Japanese and Western options, with high quality, which made people feel good early in the morning. Overall, the dining experience was excellent and was definitely a big plus for the hotel. Service Quality In terms of service, the staff was friendly, but the overall service could only be said to be average. The check-in and check-out process was smooth, but when I occasionally needed to actively seek assistance, the service staff responded a little slowly, and felt a little lacking in initiative. For this price, I originally expected more detailed service, but overall it was still acceptable. Summary Kinosaki Onsen Kiraku Hotel is a recommended hotel, especially for travelers who like hot springs and food. Although the service has room for improvement, the high-quality dining and comfortable environment made this stay still satisfactory. By far the best hotel/resort experience I ever encountered. Not only did we travel with a family of 5 but we had 10 luggage’s in total which they helped to organise and deliver to our room even though it was really heavy. Accommodated to everything that we need and asked and super welcoming. The small details that they would do have imprinted in my memories for life e.g remembering which shoes we had, prepared our slippers, explaining our meals and providing a blanket without us asking. I hope this reaches out to the manager who put the most effort to making sure we were happy and looked after. We would all recommend this place to our families and friends. 1000/10 S+++

The room was a bit small and the facilities were a bit old, but they were well-maintained. The hotel offers frequent shuttle bus services to Himeji Station. Free parking is available for guests who drive. The breakfast selection was quite good.

I had a very pleasant stay in this hotel for 4 days. The hotel was better than expected. The room was large enough for luggage. Bed was cozy and clean. Air conditioning was quiet. The location was convenient - 10 mins walk to subway station via a bridge, and 10-15 mins to Shinsaibashi via subway. I’d recommend this hotel.

Excellent stay! I was in town for Ayumi Hamasaki's concert, and the venue was right across the street, just one block away. The hotel is also conveniently located near Citizen's Plaza Station, which is why I chose it. The hotel itself is grand and impressive, with a spacious and comfortable lobby. I arrived in the morning before check-in, so I relaxed in the lobby. There's even a convenience store inside the hotel, making it easy to grab anything you need. The room was very spacious, and the window offered a great view. While it's an older hotel, what truly matters is the comfort and overall feeling for guests, not just having the newest gadgets or facilities.

Hotel itself is ok with up to standard service from hotel staff, room size is typical Japanese budget hotel & acceptable based on Japanese hotel standard, have complimentary hot spring with 2 pools and 10 washing space in such standard and room rate is good enough. Location also ok with only 3 minutes walking distance to the nearest metro station. The only area not feeling good is the public area walkway, lift from hotel to metro with rubbish that no one to clean for 2 days.

The hotel itself isn't up to par. The amenities provided are quite subpar; the toothbrush, for instance, was so rough it made my gums bleed. Right from check-in, they try to upsell you to a more expensive room. If you refuse, they deliberately assign you a low-floor room with a terrible view – I'm convinced it's intentional. So, if you want a decent experience, you're practically forced to upgrade. After upgrading, they cheerfully provide a hotel map and some greenhouse coupons. Otherwise, you just get a key and that's it. While I can't pinpoint any specific service issues, there was an overall 'off' and unsettling vibe. Even the renowned architecture nearby is poorly maintained. You can't truly appreciate the details; it only looks decent from a distance. This is quite rare in Japan, where I've always found people meticulous about maintenance. This place, however, completely overturned my expectations. Overall, it feels like quite a desolate and depressing place.
