The most delightful surprise of this stay was the warmth experienced late at night. Returning from work, I found the self-service late-night snack area on the first floor still lit up, offering hot porridge and snacks. It was an absolute lifesaver for a traveler arriving late. The staff member in charge of the dining area was incredibly attentive, regularly tidying up the counter and refilling food. When they saw me getting food, they'd smile and greet me, making me feel right at home. A special shout-out also goes to the security guard at the entrance; he always proactively opened the door and greeted me kindly when I entered or left at night, which made me feel very safe. The true charm of this hotel lies in these unexpected moments of warmth.

We spent out last night of our trip at Kempinski Taiyuan, and it did not disappoint. The receptionist upgraded up to a room on a high floor with a view of the city. They also gave us fresh fruits and free minibar. They had everything you would expect of a five star hotel, and the location is in a bustling part of the city. Would definitely come back.

The hotel boasts an excellent location, right next to the Drum Tower in the very heart of the ancient city. It's incredibly close to all major attractions; Huayan Temple, Shanhua Temple, and Dongnanyi are all within 600-700 meters, making them easily accessible on foot. Popular internet-famous restaurants like Zini 369 and Longjuxiang are also just a three-minute walk away. Although the hotel has a classic, state-owned aesthetic, its service is far from old-fashioned and has kept pace with the times. The facilities are well-appointed, the restaurant offers a pleasant ambiance, and the breakfast features a wide selection of delicious options.

For this trip to Pingyao Ancient City, I chose the upscale Pingyao Libai Hotel. As expected of a Jinjiang Inn hotel, the entire hotel was spacious and bright, with warm and modern rooms. All the amenities were in place, making for a very comfortable stay. Parking was very convenient for those traveling by car, thanks to the hotel's on-site parking lot, which was in a prime location. The hotel environment was beautiful, and the staff were warm and attentive. Getting to Pingyao Ancient City was easy; it's not far from the West Gate and North Gate, just a short walk away. There are also many dining options nearby in the evenings. Staying at the Libai Hotel when visiting Pingyao Ancient City is a perfect choice!

Environment: The hotel is located near Baima Temple Mountain, offering a beautiful, elegant, comfortable, and peaceful setting. Facilities: The hotel opened in May and is fully equipped. The in-room hot spring pool is very comfortable, with ample water flow, fast Wi-Fi, and a wide selection of complimentary drinks in the mini bar. Breakfast is also quite varied. Cleanliness: The hotel is very clean, and the hot spring center is also spotless! Service: The entire hotel staff is friendly and helpful, and the service is excellent, both in the guest rooms and in the restaurant. The front desk staff is very welcoming and will personally explain the hotel facilities and escort them to your room. They also give a small gift upon check-out. My whole family is very satisfied with this hotel and will stay again! Food and drinks upstairs are all free.

Although it's an older hotel, the showerheads show their age but are very well-maintained and work perfectly. Environment: The location is great. The room card gives access to a small gate leading to Yingze Lake Park. It's a nice two to three-kilometer loop for a leisurely stroll. Service: Excellent. They offered complimentary welcome fruits, and you just scan a QR code to request more amenities. There's also a delivery robot that brings food right to your door, all very convenient. Suggestion: I hope they can switch from instant Nestlé coffee to pour-over coffee bags. Instant coffee feels too low-end and doesn't match the hotel's overall quality.

The environment is very good. It is really beautiful to go in this season. The space capsule is not bad to live in. The air is also very good. The space capsule is smart home. The hotel's breakfast offered a wide variety of healthy and delicious options. The Chaoshan cuisine at the Chinese restaurant on the 5th floor was incredibly authentic; my husband even said it tasted just like his mom's cooking! The restaurant staff were also very welcoming and enthusiastic. We'll definitely stay here again on our next trip to Taiyuan.
