Romantic Hotels in Xinjiang, China

This was my first time visiting Altay, and this guesthouse was definitely a highlight of the 500-li scenic area. Every detail inside was meticulously designed, showcasing impeccable aesthetics. The rooms were spacious, with quick and plentiful hot water, a separate wet and dry area, and the rooms were warm and not dry. The milk served at breakfast was fresh milk from Xinjiang herders, with a thick layer of cream on top—very rich and creamy. Across from the guesthouse is the Kelan River, and not far away is a birch tree park. Across the Kelan River is the General Mountain Ski Resort, and the guesthouse's Northern Ski Club offers authentic, clean, comfortable, and warm ski suits—perfect for renting and taking beautiful photos. The guesthouse owner was very nice and also offered car rental services, making it very friendly for first-time independent travelers to Altay.

I chose this hotel for my recent trip, and the experience far exceeded my expectations – definitely a five-star rating! While the hotel's location is a bit off the beaten path, it didn't hinder my travels at all. Taxis were readily available, pick-up was quick, and getting to any destination didn't take long. The hotel's service was impeccable; from the moment I stepped inside, I felt the staff's warmth and professionalism. The service from the concierge, Ili, was particularly outstanding. My room was exquisitely decorated, spotlessly clean, and fully equipped. The bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The breakfast spread was extensive and delicious, catering to various tastes. The absolute highlight was the sea of clouds view from my window – it felt like being in a fairyland, a truly stunning visual experience! The stay was fantastic, and I highly recommend it to everyone; you won't regret staying here. All in all, this hotel offers incredible value for money, and I'll definitely choose it again on my next visit.

These past two days in Xinjiang, we couldn't see the stars. If you're heading out late, around 11-12 PM, I highly recommend this hotel. The sun rises quite late in Xinjiang, and the scenery after sunrise is pretty stunning. My stay had both great and average experiences! The great experiences were: 1. Service was very responsive. 2. When we left very early in the morning, there was a car to take us to the front desk. 3. The scenery after sunrise was fantastic. 4. The underfloor heating kept the room warm even without the air conditioning on. The average experiences were: 1. Breakfast was standard, not a lot of variety. 2. The electric water heater for showering was a little inconvenient. 3. Housekeeping could be slightly improved. 4. The facilities, especially the main door – we had an issue where it wouldn't open, and someone had to come fix it! Overall, the service was quite good and responsive, and the scenery was beautiful!

This hotel is a real gem! The room was spotless, the sheets and pillowcases had no strange odors, and there wasn't even a speck of dust in the bathroom corners – it felt so reassuring to stay there. The front desk lady was incredibly sweet; she processed our check-in quickly and even proactively recommended local eateries and transportation options, which was super thoughtful! The facilities are new: the AC cools down fast, the WiFi is strong, and the mattress was just right, ensuring a great night's sleep. The location is absolutely perfect, just a 5-minute walk to the Grand Bazaar Metro Station, with plenty of convenience stores and restaurants nearby. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit!

Highly recommended! The environment is fantastic, surrounded by lush greenery, and there's even a historical exhibition hall. It feels like staying in a park, and the value for money is excellent. The late check-out until 3 PM was a thoughtful touch. On the downside: there's room for improvement in service awareness; the front desk staff weren't very proactive. Also, during the National Day holiday, ordering à la carte was either unavailable or extremely slow, with the only options being mixed noodles and pilaf, which we ended up eating for two consecutive meals.

My stay at the R&F Wanda Vista Hotel in Urumqi was truly exceptional! The Western-style decor immediately caught my eye upon entering the lobby. The Tianshan tapestries and snow lotus lanterns were stunning, instantly elevating the atmosphere. The staff were incredibly welcoming, greeting me immediately and making me feel incredibly attentive. I have to praise Sara, the hotel's housekeeper. After adding her on WeChat, she quickly addressed any requests I had. She was incredibly thoughtful! She also thoughtfully took care of any issues I had with my reservation. The room I was given was the perfect size, spotlessly clean, and odorless. It was a comfortable stay, and I had a great rest. Upon check-out, they even gave the children a small gift. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Urumqi!

My journey westward led me to the Hilton Urumqi. Stepping through the doors, it felt as if I had entered a soothing oasis. After a long and dusty journey, what was most precious was encountering such genuine warmth. A young lady at the front desk, named Xiaobao, greeted me with smiling eyes. Her words carried a unique clarity and sincerity, characteristic of the Northwest. She calmly and efficiently handled all the minor tasks, as if it wasn't just routine work, but rather like brushing dust off the clothes of a long-lost friend. Seeing my bewildered expression, she offered extra advice; when I inquired about local attractions and itineraries, she leaned over with a pen, meticulously outlining details. Such meticulousness went beyond her duties; it was more akin to an inherent kindness and sincerity. The system at my previous hotel had failed to log out my secure session, leaving me stranded at the front desk, helpless, much like an ancient traveler who had lost their transit permit – anxious and embarrassed. Thankfully, Xiaobao came to the rescue, and with exceptional patience and professionalism, she helped me resolve the issue. What was originally just a routine stopover became a memorable highlight of my journey, thanks to this meticulous attention to detail. Across a thousand miles of desert, with the gentle tinkling of camel bells, travelers have always sought nothing more than a lamp, a warm cup of tea, and a kind word. Yet here, nestled among the buildings at the foot of Bogda Peak, what I received far exceeded these simple desires. The grandeur of the Northwest is hidden in its mountains and rivers; the warmth of Hilton is reflected on the faces of its people. My heartfelt thanks to Xiaobao; through her kindness, she truly showed me the meaning of 'a home away from home'. While other five-star hotels I've stayed at might match Hilton's facilities, it's the personal kindness and amiable nature of the staff that truly makes guests feel refreshed and at ease. It is precisely these golden pieces of the puzzle that assemble into the perfect experience at Hilton Urumqi.

No. 1 Wangshan won us over with its quality! The room was more spacious than expected, and even came with a private balcony – perfect for relaxing. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and everything was clean and tidy, making for a truly pleasant stay. Breakfast was both abundant and delicious, with a full spread of main dishes, side dishes, fruits, and drinks that catered to all tastes. We left feeling satisfied. The butler service was attentive yet discreet; they responded quickly to requests and resolved issues efficiently. The location is incredibly close to the scenic area, so there's no need to rush in the morning, allowing us to fully enjoy the beautiful Sai Lake. This trip offered both stunning scenery and comfortable accommodation, all at an excellent value for money. It's now on my must-stay list for Sai Lake, and I'll definitely be back!

I was lucky to find a treasure homestay near Tianshan Tianchi, which is very cost-effective! The homestay is exquisitely designed, with various collections of the boss, coffee shop, the boss's wife's potted plants, and paintings by their sons. The room is spacious, clean and comfortable, fully equipped, and has a smart toilet! The boss and the boss's wife are kind and hospitable, taking good care of us. The boss cooks well (it happened to be the New Year in Xinjiang when we went there, and we could also eat the mutton soup, roasted mutton liver made by the boss himself, and the traditional cakes made by the boss's wife, which were delicious!), the boss's wife is a master of crochet knitting, and they also took the trouble to improve our itinerary for us and introduced delicious and cheap authentic restaurants. I am really touched and grateful! Highly recommended 👍🏻

The entire hotel staff felt so stiff that I tried not to ask for anything. If it was a hotel under one thousand, I wouldn't say anything. After all, it's a small city with a population of only more than ten thousand people and I can't ask for too much. But the hotel dared to set the price at more than two thousand, and there was nothing outstanding about either the hardware or the software. I can only say that it was very mediocre. Only the front desk lady at the hot spring and the female manager of the buffet restaurant on the second floor were quite nice, and they had the professional qualities of service industry practitioners. The scenery around the hotel is very ordinary, and the scenery from Sai Lake is also unremarkable. When I was taking a hot spring bath, the staff were live streaming and selling goods by the pool the whole time, which made my head hurt. I felt like I was being taken advantage of and spent more than two thousand to suffer.
