"This stay, I specifically chose to experience the hotel's 1.35m twin room, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations – I just have to rave about it! The room felt incredibly spacious, not cramped at all. The two 1.35m beds were arranged with plenty of room, allowing two people to move around freely, spread out luggage, and personal items without feeling squeezed or confined. The biggest surprise was the floor-to-ceiling windows throughout the entire room. They offered incredible light and an expansive feel, flooding the room with natural light during the day and providing a wide-open view. In the evening, you could enjoy the scenery outside, creating a fantastic photo opportunity and ambiance. All the in-room facilities were complete and well-maintained; the air conditioning, bathroom, and storage cabinets all functioned perfectly with no signs of age or damage. Cleanliness was absolutely impeccable. The floors, bedding, and vanity were spotless, without a speck of dust even in the corners and crevices. The bathroom had excellent wet/dry separation with no standing water or odors, and the bedding was soft and pristine. It's clear that housekeeping does a meticulous and thorough job. The front desk service was warm and attentive, making the check-in process quick and hassle-free. The room's soundproofing was also excellent, ensuring a very quiet and restful stay. The value for money is outstanding, making it perfect for traveling with a companion or staying with a friend. The environment, facilities, and cleanliness are all top-notch. I'll definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit and highly recommend it to anyone traveling!"

The hotel is located in the modern Guanshanhu District B financial and Business District of Guanshanhu Convention and Exhibition City. It is close to Guiyang International Convention and Exhibition Center, Zhongtian Convention and Exhibition City, Guizhou Provincial Museum, Guanshanhu Wetland Park, Guiyang City, Guiyang City Administrative Center, Guiyang North Railway Station and other popular places and business districts. "Shop such as home, room to do friends" - in Syria. Mananju took this as the initial intention of the shop, with the charm of Guizhou Mountain and the folk custom wind as the design inspiration; With the Dong township mountains and rivers, Miao family scene as the decoration of the house, forming the product model of "Dong township fireworks, Miao family stories, wind and rain, Guizhou mountain clouds, wild mountain house" as the core room type, and with other cities or local characteristics as the design idea of "meet X room type" as the branch characteristics distinction. The hotel has coffee garden, multi-function hall, public business, leisure and entertainment, gym, cultural promenade, children's playground and other areas. Self-service laundry service, buffet breakfast, free parking, and equipped with a number of humanistic services, postal service, and CTRIP cooperation has a flash stay, you can not check in, free deposit, in addition to the hotel itself has a "30 can return" service policy, that is, stay 30 minutes and before, there is no reason to return (please consult the business for details).

"The room was comfortable and clean, with a cozy decor. The breakfast was decent, offering a good variety of nutritious options. The bedding was excellent, and I slept very well. However, my assigned room was near the stairs, so the soundproofing wasn't great – I could hear people coming and going. The hotel is located on the 14th and 15th floors of a commercial and residential building. Each floor is divided into two levels, which means the ceiling height is quite low, making it feel a bit cramped for taller individuals. During my stay, the restaurant was undergoing renovations, which led to some noise during the day. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. They even stored a small snack I'd forgotten in the fridge after I checked out. When I returned from exploring and was resting on the sofa in the lobby, they brought me tea. The location is convenient, about a ten-minute walk from the subway station. There are many restaurants and snack bars downstairs, and a commercial district near the subway station."

Hotel near Jiaxiulou Area,Guiyang
Novotel Guiyang Downtown is part of French hotel group Accor Hotels, where is located in the center of city and close to numerous attractions including, such as "Jiaxiu Pavilion guide" and “Wenchang” Pavilion. Only 2-minute walk will see guests in the lively commercial center of Grand Cross Square. Guiyang Railway Station and Guiyang Airport are 10 to 20-minutes' drive.Novotel Guiyang Downtown offers 243 rooms, all of which are stylishly decorated with contemporary touches, against a backdrop of either city or mountain views. Guests can expect to enjoy all up-to-date amenities and free internet access in their room.Different styles of Chinese and international cuisine can be found in the hotel's restaurant, with snacks and light drinks also available in the Lobby Lounge. The hotel bar and night club, Top of the Town, can be found on the 29th floor and offers 360-degree panoramic views of the city.Four meeting rooms, which can each accommodate 50 people, are perfect for meetings and seminars and are kitted out with top-of-the-range audiovisual equipment. For weddings, trade fairs, exhibitions and other large scale events, the luxurious banquet suite provides an ideal environment. When it comes to time to relax, guests can head to the sauna and fitness center. Those traveling with toddlers can take advantage of the children's play area.

"This is an older hotel, and you can tell by the decor that it's been around for a while. Everything is clean and tidy, which is great. The carpet, like in many hotels, does have a slight smell – can't really avoid that. The location is excellent, making it easy to get around. However, during peak times, if you see over 200 people waiting for a ride-hailing service, it's often faster to just flag down a taxi. Breakfast hours are long, so you never encounter huge crowds. The robot chess player is a lot of fun! The only real issue is that the mattress is a bit old; the springs don't offer enough support, and it creaks with every little movement."

Ambience: The room window overlooks a beautiful rice paddy field. The location is quiet at the end of the village, making it convenient for visiting Tang'an. Cleanliness: Clean, no odors. Service: Excellent. The included shuttle service is extremely convenient. Before your arrival, the customer service will provide recommendations for local food and attractions, as well as some travel tips. The breakfast is good, and the coffee is delicious. The first load of minibar items is free. It's a perfect place to relax and unwind; it's very relaxing.

We arrived in Xijiang and were immediately met with such a kind surprise—they upgraded our room for my birthday, which truly set the tone for our entire stay. We were on the third floor with the most wonderful view, looking out over their little water feature and the village beyond. Our balcony, complete with a tea set and two chairs, quickly became one of our favorite spots. Sitting there, especially in the evening, felt magical—like we were nestled among the stars overlooking the town. The location is fantastic—just a short walk from the viewing platform and easily accessible down into the main village. Arriving was also incredibly smooth. As first-time visitors to China, we were quite nervous navigating trains and logistics as English speakers, but the hotel staff stepped in early with clear, thoughtful guidance. From the very beginning, they were attentive, responsive, and genuinely kind. When we arrived at the North Gate after taking the shuttle into the scenic area, a staff member met us and carried both of our bags up the hill and stairs to the accommodation. This was such a thoughtful gesture—especially because the terrain can be challenging. (For future travelers: if possible, avoid bringing heavy suitcases—but if you do, you’ll be very well taken care of here.) Check-in was seamless, and our room was extremely comfortable with all the amenities we needed. They provided water, soft robes, and made communication very easy via WeChat. Breakfast was also a highlight—we opted for the Chinese breakfast, which was light, healthy, and a perfect way to start the day before exploring all the incredible street food in town. We especially loved the communal living space—a cozy café-style area with a balcony overlooking the village. It was such a peaceful place to sit, have tea, and take in the views both during the day and under the night sky. They also had everything you could need: a coffee maker, dishes, mugs, and even fresh spring water, which was a lovely touch. The warmth of the people here truly made the experience unforgettable. The housekeeping staff were so kind, and the younger staff members were incredibly helpful and attentive. It really felt like being welcomed into a home rather than just staying at a hotel. And the little cats around the property made it even more special. On our departure day, we were running late for the last bus, and one of the younger staff members carried my very heavy bag down the hill and practically ran with it to make sure we made it on time. He stayed with us until we were safely on board. That level of care and service is something we will never forget. We would return in a heartbeat. Thank you, thank you, thank you again to the family and the entire staff for your kindness and for taking such wonderful care of us. You made our short stay in Xijiang an absolute pleasure and a weekend we will remember forever.

It might have been the rainy season because the hotel corridors were quite damp, but the view was excellent! We got a free room upgrade from the first to the second floor, and the balcony had a screen door, which was great for letting in fresh air. They even allowed us a late checkout until 2 PM the next day, which was very thoughtful since we went hiking Fanjing Mountain in the morning and could shower afterward before leaving. This hotel was much better than the Anantara we stayed at. The best part was our butler, Xiao Man (007). Since we had just come from Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village, we needed to wash two days' worth of clothes, and Xiao Man thoughtfully brought us a portable drying rack! That was a lifesaver, as we didn't have to wait in line at the laundry room to wash and dry our clothes. The view from the balcony was amazing.

The room's terrace had a great view, and the facilities were a bit old, but the environment was acceptable. The environment itself was beautiful, but the service was hard to describe. The front desk staff acted like ******; they wouldn't even acknowledge you unless you asked them anything, and their smiles disappeared after a few words. The security guards were even worse. Perhaps judging by our appearance, they assumed we couldn't afford the hotel and thought we'd sneaked in through the back door. They yelled at us loudly, telling us to leave, even though we repeatedly emphasized that we were hotel guests. They didn't believe us and loudly declared that we hadn't been allowed in and weren't allowed to explore the hotel. When we went over and yelled at them a couple of times, they apologized. Seriously? Does your hotel really not read reviews? So many people have complained about the poor service, and it seems nothing has changed. Did you hire all locals? They all act like complete ******. Just wait and see how they change their attitude—it'll be spectacular!

The hotel is a 15-minute drive from Huangguoshu Waterfall Scenic Area and is built against the mountains, offering incredibly beautiful views. We booked a large suite on the top floor, and its terrace provided direct views of the bridge and mountain scenery. Waking up in the morning felt like being in a fairyland. Unfortunately, we experienced a power and water outage due to a heavy rainstorm at night, but the staff immediately carried out emergency repairs. Although it delayed our shower, the hotel thoughtfully offered a discount the next day as compensation, which showed great sincerity. Therefore, I highly recommend this charming hotel.

The hotel is located halfway up the mountain, accessible through the village, making it quieter than other guesthouses in the village. The rooms aren't very big, but the amenities and facilities are very comfortable. The heated clothesline is a thoughtful touch for this season. The cloth slippers provided by all Fengxi guesthouses are incredibly comfortable, and the felt tote bag is very practical for storing odds and ends in the car during long trips!

This hotel is right in the city center! There's a mall downstairs, making shopping, dining, and getting around incredibly convenient (seriously, there are so many great restaurants nearby, you can just pick one at random and it'll be delicious!). Before I even checked in, Lisa proactively contacted me via phone and WeChat to go over the check-in details, which was really thoughtful. The lobby on the 55th floor has an amazing view, with panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offering a stunning city vista. The room was clean and tidy, and the exclusive bedding was soft and comfortable – I slept really well. Lisa was super responsive throughout my stay, handling all my requests, big or small, with great care. All the staff were attentive and thoughtful too (they even brought some cute kids' amenities for my child, which she loved!). This stay was absolutely perfect! At checkout, Lyla even gave me a complimentary souvenir, thank you so much! Highly recommend! P.S. The breakfast was also delicious.

I picked this B&B at random, and it turned out to be the biggest surprise of my Xingyi trip! As soon as I walked into the room, I saw the stunning, staggered peaks – every photo I took looked like it was professionally shot. The room details were very thoughtful; the toiletries were comprehensive, and they even provided small packets of laundry detergent. The B&B also has an infinity pool built halfway up the mountain, with a tea ceremony setup next to it. Brewing a pot of tea in the afternoon there was simply delightful. The front desk staff was also incredibly helpful, recommending hidden gems and local home-style restaurants, helping me avoid overpriced tourist traps. I've already recommended it to my friends!

A Dong Village Stay Impressed by Details and Care - Yunman Shanju Choosing Yunman Shanju for my stay in Zhaoxing Dong Village truly exceeded my expectations! I heard the new Yunnan B&B owner team took over in May and it had only been open for a little over 20 days. I was prepared to give it a try, but the result has truly moved me to write this review, the first time I've ever been so attentive and so touching! The service was truly exceptional: After booking on Ctrip, I added the owner on WeChat and sent him my itinerary. The owner called to confirm my arrival time as soon as I arrived. The high-speed train chartered car was already waiting. The B&B is also very close to the village entrance, so I didn't have to walk far with my suitcases. The owner and his family immediately helped with my luggage, instantly relieving my travel fatigue. We were even given a free room upgrade upon check-in! This pleasant surprise truly made me like him. Most importantly, the owner was genuinely willing to chat and engage with guests, going beyond the usual politeness. You could sense that he genuinely listened to their feedback and suggestions, a truly comforting gesture. The attention to detail in the food and accommodations is evident: Breakfast is warm and authentic: Mornings on the fifth-floor terrace, offering the best views of the entire village, beneath the eaves of the unique drum tower, watch the entire Dong village awaken in the morning light. Enjoying handmade noodles brought in from Yunnan by the owner, paired with sweet and juicy corn and free-range eggs grown in the local Dong village, the satisfying and refreshing feeling is enough to motivate me to finish my meal even after a long night. Afternoon tea: Their homemade bayberry soup, with its sweet and sour taste, is a welcome relief on a hot summer afternoon, far superior to street vendors! ”Living water” is the soul of the homestay: The most surprising thing is that the homestay is located next to an ancient well used by local residents for generations! The homestay uses the clear, sweet well water for tea, drinking, and even cooking. I used it to brew the Yunnan Pu'er tea the owner shared with me. It was incredibly flavorful, with a distinct aftertaste that even plain water had a natural sweetness. This experience of deeply connecting with local life was so unique and precious that I, someone who never drinks raw Pu'er, drank it for two days straight! A comfortable and stylish stay: Excellent soundproofing and good sleep: The rooms are well-insulated, ensuring a quiet, quality night's sleep even in the Dong village. Quality details are meticulously considered: My room had floor-to-ceiling windows and a small balcony, offering a wide view of the Drum Tower in the distance, perfect for daydreaming and relaxing. Even the toiletries, such as shower gel and shampoo, are the owner's own brand, not cheap, generic goods, making them incredibly reliable. The B&B's public areas are a treasure: The rooms and public areas are uniquely designed and decorated, both stylish and full of local cultural charm. The public area on the first floor, spanning over 200 square meters, offers a quiet space for reading, daydreaming, or making a cup of tea. When the owner is free, he'll sit down and personally brew tea with sweet well water. His Yunnan Pu'er, in particular, has a sweet, refreshing aftertaste that I still savor. An unexpected staycation: Guizhou's summers are hot. I had originally planned to explore extensively, but, aside from a visit to the Tang'an Rice Terraces, I ended up staying mostly at the B&B! Amazingly, I didn't feel bored at all. I admired the scenery from the terrace, sat in the stylishly designed first floor, brewed tea with sweet well water, read, and chatted. The guests who frequented the B&B were mostly Cantonese, which made it feel so welcoming, haha! This B&B itself offers a rich, comfortable, and stylish space that invites you to slow down. What impressed me about Yunman Shanju wasn't its luxury, but the genuine care and warmth, as well as its sincere respect and integration into local culture. It gave me a taste of what a B&B should be. Since I booked two rooms, my friend felt the same way! I'm speaking for her... Since there are two posts, I'll share more photos too.
