Sofitel Guiyang Hunter

Absolutely blown away by the views from this high-rise hotel – definitely the best photo op in Guiyang! At 298 meters up, the scenery is stunning. During the day, you can watch the misty mountains and the city skyline with buildings scattered beautifully. Every photo you take looks like it's from a city blockbuster. Janice provided excellent service, even preparing fruit and French desserts. Lisa at the lobby was also great. The room's blue and white porcelain decor was exquisite, and the location right next to Jiaxiu Tower is perfect, making it a one-stop shop for sightseeing and accommodation.

Staying at the Sofitel in Guiyang is a food lover's dream! The Yunshang restaurant on the 57th floor offers a fantastic dining experience with stunning night views of the Nanming River – it's incredibly atmospheric. But the absolute highlight has to be the freshly made beef noodles at breakfast; the soup is so flavorful and the noodles are perfectly silky, even more authentic than some of the famous local shops! The 'Guai Lu' fried rice at the Executive Lounge also had that amazing wok-hei flavor – I'd honestly extend my stay just for that dish! A huge thanks to Cat and Lora at the front desk; they were both very diligent, responsible, and incredibly friendly. I hope to see them again on my next visit.

Pros: The room was spacious with a great view, and the location was excellent – easy to walk everywhere. The beef noodles at breakfast were delicious. Cons: The elevator required changing multiple times, which was very inconvenient, though it might be due to the building's original design. What was most frustrating was the pool management. I'm not sure if it's rented out to the public, but there were a large number of non-guests swimming, especially many children taking swimming lessons. I've never seen anything like this in a five-star hotel, and the pool water quality was also quite poor.

I was very satisfied with this Sofitel hotel. The views from the high-rise hotel and the breakfast were truly captivating! The panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows in the high-floor room offered expansive views. During the day, you could see clouds surrounding the city, and overlooking Jiaxiu Tower, I saw many tourists there, making every photo a stunning shot. The buffet breakfast was rich and varied, offering both Chinese and Western options. The Guizhou-style spicy chicken noodles had an authentic taste, and the freshly ground coffee and French pastries were fresh and delicious. Janice from Guest Relations not only contacted me in advance but also provided a delicious cake and special room decorations. Lyla at the lounge was also very warm and professional. The hardware facilities and the scenery were perfectly integrated. Super satisfied! 👍🏻

Facilities: Basic, met my needs, but not a smart toilet. Cleanliness: Clean, tidy, and comfortable. Environment: Quiet and satisfactory. Service: Excellent! The location is superb, with convenient transportation and shopping. The room I booked faced Jiaxiu Tower directly, offering clear and close-up views.

This high-rise hotel with a view was even more stunning in person than in the online photos. I've stayed here before, and the service this time was just as excellent and satisfying. However, I do hope they can add 'zheergen' (houttuynia cordata) and crispy fried pork to the breakfast menu. The room features panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, directly facing Dongshan Mountain Park. The city views are expansive during the day, and at night, when the lights come on, the photo opportunities are incredible. The service is attentive without being overly formal; Janice even prepared a cake, and the room was ready in advance. Requests are handled quickly. It's definitely a place you should experience.

The hotel's location is close to Guiyang Longdongbao Airport, but it's very inconvenient to have to transfer between elevators every time you go out. The hotel environment and service attitude are just average, and it's not good value for money.

We had the most perfect day at Sofitel, an absolutely impeccable experience. Special thanks to Stellar from Guest Relations and Olivia, the duty manager. Both staff members were so kind and attentive. Upon hearing it was my child's birthday, they thoughtfully prepared a small birthday cake, a heartwarming surprise that my child absolutely loved. The thoughtful hospitality details throughout made for such a warm, pleasant, and comfortable stay, making this day extra beautiful and unforgettable.

I was really touched by the thoughtful service. Check-in was very efficient, and they even provided a sightseeing route for Jiaxiu Tower and Qingyun Market. Janice recommended some fantastic local eateries nearby. During my stay, she was incredibly attentive and thorough, always restocking drinking water and toiletries when cleaning. Her demeanor was gentle and polite. The room was clean with great lighting, and the balcony design was unique – perfect for views, character, and comfort. Both Janice and Lisa offered service that felt genuine and personal, not at all robotic. I felt exceptionally at ease staying in Guiyang, and I'll definitely choose this hotel again for my next trip.
