This hotel is almost next to the airport terminal, super convenient for early morning flight. It is clean and service is excellent. Manager on duty - Han, Yueliu helped arrange a room in the main buidling, which is what I preferred. Everything went well. Will stay here again next time when I come back.

While I've stayed at many high-end hotels both domestically and internationally, this one truly stands out. Its main draw is the exceptional environment, set within ancient city architecture, directly opposite the city walls. The design ensures a new scenic view with every step, exuding elegance – even the stairwells offer a lovely sight. As I'm a vegetarian, I'd informed the butler beforehand, and to my surprise, the breakfast staff remembered perfectly and specially prepared alternative dishes for me. The room was filled with countless complimentary snacks, and I particularly enjoyed the pumpkin seeds and hawthorn strips. Returning in the evening to find a hot bowl of corn paste waiting for me was truly a touching example of service. As a bonus, there's also a small museum, personally guided by the hotel's butler. I highly recommend booking a visit to see the contemporary art with a Datong theme inside; it perfectly complements the Datong Museum. I'll definitely bring my mother here next time.

Before booking, I was most concerned about the air conditioning, and I finally got to experience it firsthand. Datong's heating supply runs until April 15th, a full month later than Tianjin. During the heating period, the hotel's air conditioning only provides heat, not cool air. So, contrary to what many online reviews suggested, I couldn't use the AC to cool the room and had to rely on opening the windows to alleviate the heat. However, I couldn't keep the windows open while sleeping, which left me feeling very dry and uncomfortable when I woke up. The first night of my stay was the second day of the Qingming holiday. When I showered that evening, the water pressure from the showerhead was pitifully low, so I had to make do with the handheld spray. Thankfully, the bathtub's water temperature was reliable. By the second night, with a drop in occupancy, both the breakfast service and the shower pressure were much better. The swimming pool is open from 6 AM to 9 PM. I feel it opens too early and closes too early. Wouldn't 8 AM to 11 PM be better? The hotel lobby is very spacious. Since Fenlin Pavilion is located in the Wyndham lobby, the Yungang side actually feels more upscale and grand. Fenlin Pavilion stops issuing numbers before 7:30 PM and closes at 9 PM. For lunch, they're open until 2 PM. Commercial facilities in Datong really aren't that competitive. There's no sliding door between the room's bathtub and the bed, so privacy is nonexistent. The omnipresent crystal chandeliers and mirrors give off a somewhat 'Middle Eastern prince' vibe. The sensor-activated nightlights near the floor get a hundred stars – they're incredibly convenient for midnight bathroom trips. Even a coffee machine and a refrigerator are provided. The breakfast's 'dao xiao mian' (knife-cut noodles) are a specialty, and the coffee is good. However, the dessert selection is meager, with only one or two options.

Our group of four went to the Shanxi First Hot Spring Hotel, thinking it would be conveniently located within the Wang Family Courtyard. We ended up loving it! The hotel environment was superb! 👍🏻 Getting up early to climb the city wall and see the swirling mist was like stepping into a fairyland. The air was fresh, the hot spring water smooth, and the night view even more beautiful! Dinner was delicious, and breakfast was plentiful! Everyone is planning to come back! The manager, Xiao Wang, and my husband hit it off immediately, and he even gave us souvenir coins!

I've been to Xinzhou Ancient City a few times, and I genuinely feel that Futian Yuhua Hotel is the absolute best hotel here. The rooms are spotless, they deliver fresh fruit daily, and the beds are incredibly comfortable. The private hot spring bath experience was fantastic, and there was a constant supply of complimentary drinks every day. From the moment you step through the main entrance, you notice the incredible attention to detail – it's clear the owner has excellent taste. From the moment I called about parking, a butler was already waiting at the entrance. The service was warm and thoughtful. When leaving, they even reminded me to take a complimentary bottle of water and offered tissues, showing how much they genuinely care for their guests. On the day of check-in, I couldn't figure out the stopper for the hot spring pool, but after a quick call, someone came to help within less than a minute. I'll definitely be bringing my family back to stay here again in the future and will highly recommend it to my friends.

The hotel facilities were good and breakfast was decent, but the check-in experience was terrible. When I turned on the faucet after checking in that night, the water was yellow and cloudy the entire time. I followed the front desk's advice to let the water run for nearly an hour, but there was no improvement. After contacting them again, housekeeping came to check and suggested a room change. I asked to see the water quality in another room first, and was told it was 'a bit better'. It was already 11 PM and I didn't want the hassle, so I agreed to deal with it the next day. What was most disappointing was the complete lack of follow-up from the hotel, no apology, and no compensation or reassurance. They basically left the problem for the guest to just put up with. The next day, no one bothered to ask about it, as if nothing had happened. The service attitude was incredibly perfunctory and completely lacked any sense of customer service.

Dinner at the hotel, I feel that the food tastes good, and I will stay for another day. The room is large and warm, with an intelligent control system, elegant layout, and festive layout during the Spring Festival. The rooms have books about the imperial city Xiangfu Lianlian, long knowledge. Service attitude is very good. We forgot to renew the room card, the room attendant saw that we took the initiative to handle it for us. Our suite is not in the same building as the front desk, and there is a long tunnel in the middle, and the distance is still relatively far. Thanks to the room attendant sister. Due to the dry climate, it is easier to thirsty, and the mineral water is enough. The last picture is the water we drank in a day. The night view of the hotel can be described as fire tree and silver flower. Just catching up with the fifth day of the first month, the big god of wealth at the door is very suitable for the scene. At night, you can watch the fireworks show at the hotel observation deck. The hotel's own shuttle bus is a good help for easy tour. Talk about meals. The dumplings 🥟 are very good, recommend pot shrimp, eight or eight banquets.

We spent out last night of our trip at Kempinski Taiyuan, and it did not disappoint. The receptionist upgraded up to a room on a high floor with a view of the city. They also gave us fresh fruits and free minibar. They had everything you would expect of a five star hotel, and the location is in a bustling part of the city. Would definitely come back.

Hygiene: Excellent. All towels, bath towels, and bathrobes come in sealed bags, which made me feel very secure using them. Facilities: Excellent. Although it's an older hotel, the showerheads show their age but are very well-maintained and work perfectly. Environment: The location is great. The room card gives access to a small gate leading to Yingze Lake Park. It's a nice two to three-kilometer loop for a leisurely stroll. Service: Excellent. They offered complimentary welcome fruits, and you just scan a QR code to request more amenities. There's also a delivery robot that brings food right to your door, all very convenient. Suggestion: I hope they can switch from instant Nestlé coffee to pour-over coffee bags. Instant coffee feels too low-end and doesn't match the hotel's overall quality.

The moment I moved into ”Xunsu”, I fell in love with it! I was gently awakened by the waves in the morning. The simple design is full of ingenuity - the smart home silently integrates into the natural atmosphere. I love the soft linen couch by the bay window, where I can read a book or be in a daze for a while, and time is so slow that I can hear my heartbeat. The bedding is as skin-friendly as clouds, and even my picky partner rarely praises ”the deep sleep”. The local seasonal fruit plate prepared by the housekeeper is warmer than expected. If there is a regret, it is probably that I couldn't stay a few more days to fully collect this poetic feeling.

Dd 123Although it is an old hotel, the service attitude is still very comfortable. Ms. Cairong at the front desk helped me deliver my luggage to the room. The dining environment is very clean and hygienic, and the dishes are plentiful... The waiter Guo Defeng has been warmly asking what to drink, and he also helped to bring fruits. The chef Han Maorong is also a super funny girl, telling me that there are freshly cooked noodles, wontons, fried eggs, etc. , The variety is quite complete~ The hotel as a whole makes me feel very comfortable and awesome!

GGuest UserYou truly appreciate the difference when you have something to compare it to. I first stayed at Datong Hotel thirty years ago, so naturally, it was my top choice for this visit to Datong. Let's start with the 'positives'. For my first night, I chose the VIP building, thinking that with the country's rapid development, hotel accommodations must have advanced significantly. The promotional materials also touted its spacious and new rooms. However, upon checking in, I felt it wasn't worth the price. The front desk clearly had better rooms available but was unwilling to offer them without an additional charge for these 'so-called' superior rooms. It makes me wonder if the front desk staff has ever stayed in a four-star hotel or above. The VIP building's only real 'plus' was its larger space; otherwise, nothing felt particularly impressive. In the VIP building, the bathroom fixtures were broken, the walls didn't appear thoroughly scrubbed, and the carpet was dirty. This judgment was drawn from a direct comparison. Dissatisfied with the VIP building, I decisively checked out and opted for the old building, where I had stayed three decades ago. I was touched by the elderly gentleman at the front desk even before seeing the room. Upon checking in, I discovered that apart from the room size being smaller than in the VIP building, everything else was equally good, if not better. The elderly gentleman at check-in introduced the amenities along the way – his service was truly commendable, and I plan to get his name for a special mention in a future review. The old building's walls were freshly painted, and the carpet was notably cleaner than in the VIP building. The toiletries also felt superior to those in the VIP building. The headboard cushions were clean and tidy, and the curtains were elegantly neat and clean. Suggestions for the old building: The TV is quite old; replacing it shouldn't be too expensive. Attention to detail is crucial: the faucet handles, though old, have a noble appearance. The only imperfection is the missing small cap on the handle – a small blemish on an otherwise noble piece. The bathtub drain was malfunctioning. The shower curtain could be raised slightly higher. Since there are paintings, their frames should be clean and clear. The small cap on the toilet seat was also missing. Most importantly, the bathroom floor was quite slippery; measures should be taken to prevent guests from falling. Additionally, the old building's self-promotion is lacking. Enlarged photos of renowned figures who once stayed here should be displayed prominently. No other hotel in Datong boasts such an honor, and that's precisely your unique selling point.

JJiandanjihaoWhen visiting Mount Wutai, make sure to plan ahead! First, buy your entrance ticket, then arrange transportation into the scenic area, and only *then* book your hotel. I ended up changing my hotel reservation three times because of this. As expected from Marriott, the quality is undeniable, and it's one of the few top-tier options within the Mount Wutai scenic area. I booked one of the small detached villas. The room was very spacious and even had a hot spring bath. Breakfast quality and ingredients were excellent overall, but many items were prepared in advance and had gone cold. The fried rice and scallion pancakes, for example, were no longer tasty. If they could adopt the live cooking stations common in Marriott hotels abroad, the food quality would improve significantly. The coffee, though, was fantastic. Finally, in the detached villa, where the fire extinguishers should be... there weren't any! This is a serious issue and needs to be checked immediately.

ZZhongxiabingbaoheI was a little disappointed when I first went there, but fortunately the problem was solved promptly and sincerely. However, I have to complain about the service. The waiter was a little inconsiderate. I saw me with a baby and luggage and no one helped. The shower room could not be used after the room was changed. The big shower head was broken and the small shower head was not easy to use. I booked the hotel for the breakfast. The highlight of this hotel is that the breakfast has many varieties and is very delicious.

GGuest UserWe arrived at 7pm. The waiter Xiao Zheng warmly received us and instructed us how to take the elevator to the room. In the evening, he also considerately sent us a bowl of longevity noodles. The baby is a big kid, and the shoes provided by the hotel are a bit small. That night, the housekeeper was very enthusiastic to find a pair of suitable slippers for us. The hotel did not have a refrigerator, and the housekeeper brought ice. We always felt that this service was what a resort hotel should have. Because we predicted that the hot spring would be changed that night, we decided to take a hot spring bath the next day. To be honest, the facilities are lacking, and the hot spring water is not live water, and there is no filtration. It started at 9 o'clock, and we went to soak before 10 o'clock. There were already some stratum corneum. The pavilion was filled with new water, but it also needed to be cooled down before we could go. In short, the hot spring facilities need to be improved. In addition, I want to say about smoking control. I hope the service staff can stop guests from smoking in the indoor hot spring area. There are many children, which is very inappropriate.
