During the summer vacation, I took my child to Shanxi, and we stayed at the Howard Johnson Plaza Datong for 3 nights. The hotel's location is excellent, right by Datong Ancient City. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the service is outstanding, making you feel right at home. Every day, they provide welcome fruits, and in the evenings, there's a free late-night snack. There's also a Chinese restaurant on the 11th floor where we had dinner every night. What truly touched me were the housekeeping staff. Besides keeping the room impeccably clean daily, they always left thoughtful little notes. One time, I was doing laundry at the hotel, but because our chartered car was waiting, I couldn't wait for the clothes to finish drying. I mentioned this to the front desk, and to my surprise, when we returned to the hotel that evening, the housekeeping staff had already delivered my clothes to the room and hung them up in the bathroom to dry. Every service detail was incredibly touching. My child said they love Datong and this hotel, and will definitely stay here again next time we visit.

This is by far the best value five-star hotel in Taiyuan. The management is well-organized, and the hygiene is consistently excellent, making you feel right at home. Both the facilities and services are well-maintained. The surrounding area offers a complete range of commercial amenities and convenient transportation, with a subway entrance right next to the hotel. Tianmei and Beimei New World shopping centers are just next door. Overall, it's great value for money. The only minor drawback is that it's an older hotel and could use a full renovation. Given that Shanxi is a strong tourist province, a refurbishment would certainly justify a price increase.

Ctrip's target is five diamonds, except for the lobby and services, none of the other links meet this standard. Room facilities are old. But at this price, don't expect too good hardware. The breakfast was good, which is to be commended. There is no business district nearby, so it is not very convenient to eat. Service: The service is rated five points, very thoughtful and enthusiastic. Facilities: old. Will not live again in the future.

The hot spring hotel has been awesome. The room is very big, super clean and bright enough in areas like the bathroom. It is warm enough even in winter due to the underfloor heating,, so I have to turn off the room air con heating. The hotel front desk team is even more awesome. They are always ready to help with all kinds of queries and needs. When we were leaving, they even gave us a bottle of local vinegar as a gift. The hot spring is not located inside the hotel like the Japanese onsen. It is a couple of hundred meters away, but the hotel provided an electric buggy to ferry you to and fro. The hot spring area itself has a changing room, where you can out on the bathrobe before you step out in the open and into the hot spring. So even in winter, it is still manageable and you should not catch a cold. Some regular hot spring users even put on their down feather jacket over the bathrobe, and that surely is more effective. There are even security personnel at the hot spring to make sure there is help if you get into difficulties. Breakfast is also good. The hotel also uses the buggy to fetch you to a posh looking restaurant in the hotel vicinity. Food is good, and not too expensive. There is also a small retail outlet next to the restaurant. The prices there are very reasonable.

I was extremely satisfied with my stay at Yungang Hotel. First off, the price was very reasonable, even during peak season, and they didn't arbitrarily inflate prices! Secondly, the check-in experience was fantastic. As soon as you enter, you're greeted by marble carvings everywhere, giving it a very upscale and luxurious feel. The hotel also has Fenglin Pavilion on the first floor, which serves amazing food, and there's no need to wait in line! The breakfast spread at the aquatic restaurant on the lower ground floor was incredibly varied. The room itself was large and new, with a high level of smart technology. The air conditioning was powerful, and the staff provided excellent service!

The environment was fantastic, very clean and hygienic, and the service was excellent. The villa area offers even better views. Breakfast was plentiful. The hotel also has a swimming pool and various activities, including both Western and Chinese restaurants. There's even a cultural tourism town right in front of it. It's truly a luxurious and comprehensive five-star hotel with a rich array of amenities, especially for Wutaishan.

I stayed at Wutong Apartment Hotel for a business trip, and overall, it was a very pleasant experience. The room was clean and cozy, and the facilities were well-equipped. The cleaning staff were also very welcoming. What's particularly worth recommending is their breakfast, which truly lives up to its reputation as a 'breakfast ceiling' online. Having traveled to many cities, I can confidently say their breakfast surpasses the standards of five-star hotels in first-tier cities. The quality of the steak and salmon, as well as the cooking, were excellent. Various Chinese stir-fries tasted as good as those ordered à la carte in restaurants, and there was a wide array of local delicacies. The lamb soup with aged tofu was a perfect combination. And the desserts, oh the desserts, were outstanding! The ingredients were high-quality, and both their appearance and taste were superb – highly recommended. The only minor drawback was the average service. The rather short restaurant manager had an incredibly loud voice, like a lady shouting in a wet market, constantly directing staff loudly, which unfortunately lowered the hotel's overall ambiance. Despite that, it's still highly recommended overall!

酒店雖然挺老的，但是維護得不錯，服務更是貼心，有任何困難都熱心幫着解決。酒店的飯菜也特別地道，根本不用往外跑。我第一次見羊肉鍋裏全是羊肉，兩個人根本吃不完。我來跑馬，就在起點，明年馬拉松我一定還要來住。

This hotel is absolutely heavenly! The privacy here is top-notch; only guests with reservations are allowed in, and outside vehicles can't enter. When you check in, they offer tea and cookies, which is a really thoughtful touch. Since the hotel is quite large, with three courtyards, the staff helping with luggage will kindly guide you to your room and introduce you to the restaurant, tea house, and even point out great photo spots (which is a huge plus for us girls!) 🥳 The combs in the room are extra large and super comfortable, almost like a scalp massager. After turndown service in the evening, they bring different treats. On the first night, it was bird's nest soup, and on the second, brown sugar peach gum – both were delicious and very generous portions. I have to specifically mention their restaurant; the food is seriously good! We originally just ate there because we were tired from hiking, but it turned out to be unexpectedly amazing. It's a fusion of Cantonese and Shanxi cuisine. Their scallion pancakes are especially, especially!!! fragrant. #hotelreview
