The location is excellent, just a short walk to the main downtown attractions. Parking is first-come, first-served, and it was full when we arrived, but there's a public parking garage very close by which felt quite safe. The room didn't come with a kettle, and we couldn't adjust the AC temperature.

One of the highest value airport hotels in Calgary if you don't need breakfast. Far from the airport but the shuttle service was free and on time and the hotel is relatively close to the city center. My room had a very comfortable bed and some of the better towels I've had at a hotel. The mini-bar with a fridge and microwave was also nice.
Well furnished and fully equipped. Except the shower outlet not powerful enough. Location is good and easy to find. Will highly recommend to friends about this hotel for sure.
The hotel is clean and tidy, the rooms are spacious and bright, the environment is comfortable and quiet, the facilities are complete, the service staff is warm and friendly, the hotel is located in the center of the town, and parking is convenient.
This was the hotel we chose for our first trip to Banff.
It only took about 5 minutes to get to downtown Canmore, and around 20 minutes to Banff Village.
The room was in great condition, and we especially liked the hardwood floors — it felt much cleaner and more comfortable.
One of the main reasons we chose this place was the waterslide, and it didn’t disappoint!
Our kids absolutely loved it, and the warm pool was perfect for relaxing after a long day.
The staff were also very friendly and welcoming.
We highly recommend this hotel!
The location of the hotel is central and just off the Samson Mall. The service was good. The check-in process was smooth. We were informed that our room was on the third floor and there was no elevator in our building. We asked if there are other rooms on the lower floors, and the staff was kind to help us locate another room on the first floor.
The room was dated and small. There is only a small window opening to the hallway and it was quite hot and stuffy even at night. It was not good value for >USD$400 per night given the room quality. With the similar price point, we might opt for accommodations in downtown Banff which comes with better rooms, various dining/shopping options, but with extra 35 minutes drive.
The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. I would definitely stay again. The separate bedroom was an unexpected surprise. I chose this location primarily for the pool and hot tub and was not disappointed. Check in and check out was easy and I enjoyed my stay.
The place was sparkling cleaned, the linens smells freshly washed, the breakfast had a variety of choices and most specially the Filipina staff was so friendly and accommodating. We checked in at around 7-7:30pm.

VV100StranFar from the best hotel, but more or less clean, the beds are comfortable. There are a lot of migrants, a strange contingent. Breakfast is good, there are waffles, omelettes, yogurt, etc. Basically, that's enough. There is own parking, one day it was difficult to find a space, other days it was free. Compared to other hotels in Calgary, the prices are still ok, although in our opinion, it should be cheaper
GGuest UserWonderful place to stay. Easily accessible and staffs were wonderful . A few challenges with drinking water given I was just in the city for the first time but otherwise a great place . My daughter liked walking the buildings and they have a wonderful atmosphere for breakfast. Usually busy and booked on weekends . Great Wi-Fi, wonderful staffs again !!!
SSyed MMy husband, son & I stayed here for one night. The location is great. It’s near to restaurants, the city and airport. The hotel is pretty clean and so was our room and bathroom. We enjoyed our stay. The water park, swimming pool and hot tub was a great amenity which my 7 year old enjoyed a lot. We didn’t have problems with parking either. For security the elevator also operates with your room key card. I would recommend this place. However, the room didn’t have a microwave and breakfast isn’t included.
GGuest UserNot our first time staying here -but we left with a sense of frustration today!
It began when the front desk couldn’t find our reservation - twice ! (despite a phone call 2 hours prior to check in). Had to take my driver’s licence and go “somewhere to talk to someone in the back” - then he came back (after 2 or so
minutes) and “magically” the reservation had been found. Unnerving for my identification to disappear from my sight. No explanation offered.
Frustrated again at check out when the desk clerk tried to charge us for something from the snack bar in our room - we had literally left our room 2 minutes before. Couldn’t tell us what item we had “consumed” (we hadn’t consumed anything - especially at those prices!) and then when asked how they could possibly know within 2 minutes (of us leaving our room) that an item had been consumed - they became very defensive and couldn’t actually answer the question of “how do you know what to charge us for” and the response was “it’s for the report at the end of the day - no one is saying you actually took anything”. Except that’s exactly what the desk clerk said the charge was going to be for - “an item from the snack bar for a total of $4.20”.
After challenging the charge we were told that no charge would be put through on the credit card.
Made to feel like we had “stolen” something when we asked for further clarification on the charge.
“No apologies or thank you for staying with us”.
Disappointing.
Side note - Service in the ****** was great - including the restaurant.
AAMissGreat hotel. Grabbed the cheapest room possible for my sister to come along with the hubby and I but wanted our own privacy. Got her the single queen bed room. It was REALLY nice. The value for money was exceptional and the breakfast was fantastic!
AAnonymous UserI am a customer living in 407 on 9th of November in Holiday Inn Express & Suites Calgary NW - University Area, an IHG Hotel.
. I am writing to complain the lady on the front desk. She treated me not respectful. When we checked in, I am asking if we have hot spring, she replied several what? And correct me “hot tub” such as I am lack of knowledge.
Later, I want to use Landry room and change dollars with them. They gave me several two dollars, and the washing machines only accept 1 dollars, which they should have known at first place. So I went back to the front desk to ask for 1 dollars again. And at that time. There is one guy lining in front of another front desk server. And the lady was answering the phone. So I naturally stood in front of her desk and waited for her. And I asked her to change 1 dollars for me since they didn’t know. And then she asked me” don’t u notice there is a line? You should wait after it.” So I was so embarrassed to find out I cut in line.
So if she is really mindful about me cutting in line, Why not telling me to wait after? Or just remind me in a more respectful way assuming I really don’t know there is a line? Either way will have same effect and I would be acknowledged in a not embarrassing way. And again, the washing machine only accept 1 dollar and they did not know, is their job dereliction.
I am very concerned how your service match up with your high level of fees.
JJames Y. HuangGreat value for a short term stay near the YYC, with turn off from major road BarlowTrail NE. The front entrance is a bit confusing if approaching from the rear industrial area.
Staff were friendly and professional, usual hotel damage deposit and person staying in expectation.
The room was very spacious and clean, although a bit dated. AC was a bit louder than expected, but was able to sleep through. I didn't have time to use the amenities (pool and gym).
MMichelle BillingtonI always enjoy my stay at Deerfoot Inn & ******. The purpose of my trip was to hang out with my sister and catch up on our lives. The deluxe queen room was spacious and welcoming. I found a stain on the top sheet when the cover topper fell away. Just looked like a coffee stain, but jeez?! We went down to the buffet for supper, and the prime rib and scalloped potatoes were delicious, as well as the other entries. After we ate, we sat in the lounge next to the restaurant. I loved the big, comfortable chairs we chose to sit on. When I got up to use the ladies' room, my hips were out of sorts for several steps because the chairs are sitting too low. May I suggest they update the furniture as I noticed other older guests having the same issue.
GGuest UserWonderful location. It’s so wonderful to be a little way away from the downtown crowds. It was a great perk of giving us also free bus passes for our stay duration Most definitely easier to leave your car there and take public transit. Also on the drive to the resort take the Hoodoos cutoff and take a little walk and check out the sites and listen to the magpies calling to each other. Thank you.
