I had dinner at the hotel and I did not realize that the waitress made a mistake and charged my credit card in US dollars instead of 33.990 TZ shillings. An hour later, the waitress knocked my door and told me about the mistake and that they would reverse the transaction in the morning. It took the hotel 2 days to sort that out with their bank (NMB Bank). I spent about US$500 on international phone calls with my bank in SA so that they undersand the problem and help me solve it. After a long struggle, I got my money back after 25 days. I am writing this to alert tourists who visit Tz. Please look at the credit card machine to ensure that the correct currency is being charged before pressing the buttons. Scrutinize the receipts that you get and keep them until you get home. Regardless of the nerve-racking experience that I had, I would like to thank the Kibo Palace Hotel administration and staff for their honesy (admitting the error) and for the great efforts they put forth to ensure thae reversal of the reve money as they had no experience with this issue before. Everybody at the hotel was sympathetic and very supportive. Every now and then they contacted me to see if I got the money or not. My advice to the hotel is to train their staff especially waitresses/waiters in using payment machines, and even improving their English to avoid such mistakes and hastles. I wish the accountant tooke me with her to the bank so that I know exactly what is going on so that I give solutions or ask my bank for solutions. if I come back to Moshi, I would definitely stay at the Kibo Palce Hotel and enjoy Mt Kilimanjaro views.

There are very few Chinese people here, so let me leave a comment. Don't have extravagant hopes for the Youth Hostel, it's a place to live. Single room, mosquito net, clean quilt, toilet and tap water. But need to bring a conversion plug. But the square dance outside is still loud but I don't mind.

Best Value Guesthouse! First of all, the room was clean and comfortable. It had a fresh and tidy feel, and I slept very well. Since it was the off-season when I stayed, I was able to use the room all to myself. Friendly and helpful staff They kindly assisted me with SIM card setup and gave useful advice. I actually lost my key during my stay, but they quickly replaced the lock, which was a big help. Delicious food at the rooftop restaurant There’s a restaurant on the rooftop, and the food was great! It was also a nice place to meet and talk with other travelers, which made me feel at ease. If you’re looking for a clean and affordable place to stay in Moshi, you can’t go wrong here. Thank you very much!

Amos Lufumbilo, The Managing Director who is a man of the utmost integrity & his wonderful Assistant, Issa Hamisi facilitate this spectacular Hostel & also offer many tours at highly reasonable prices! I was first greeted at the gate by Borealis, a most friendly employee who’s BEST attribute is her attention to Customer Service & superb efficiency assisting Tourists with anything imaginable! The sensational Chef, Danny has attended school specifically for preparing gourmet meals ranging from their complimentary Breakfast to a varied menu for lunch & dinner = quite impressive! Moses is a superb Gardener as well as maintaining the Hostel Compounds exquisite grounds! He also assists with Housekeeping Duties & if needed helps in the kitchen! Noela, prides herself in keeping immaculately clean Guest Rooms & full bathrooms with flush toilets, hot showers & a sink area. The mosquito nets are carefully draped like a canopy over each King Sized Bed with white sheets, pillows & a cozy blanket. A plush towel is provided daily or as often as a Guest chooses! Noela is also available to wash Guests clothing for a very reasonable rate. My main goal for staying in the Moshi area for a year is to volunteer teach in various schools, to observe watching students in action in other schools & assisting in an Orphanage. In terms of school highlights “The Faraja School” + Boarding Home to 100 severely Physically Challenged students from age 7 to 18 was a monumental experience! I was personally driven the two hour distance each way by Issa in Amos’ vehicle = YES Guests are treated like royalty!. It is an honor to be a Guest here & I feel quite blessed! No matter the environment and service are absolutely first-class, it is especially suitable for special planes, and the pick-up service is also very considerate. We needed medical services during our trip, and the hotel also helped to contact medical institutions. The whole process exceeded our expectations.

And: *the place is very clean *you can really see Kilimanjaro, even if you don't have a view from your room, you can always go to the rooftop and enjoy it from there *you can have you meals at the rooftop *the staff it AMAZING, they are very nice and helpful *the location is pretty convenient

OOlinayangliuThis stay at the Flamingo Hotel was really a very pleasant experience! We flew from Sambar Island and it was very late, but the hotel still gave us a warm reception. Welcome drink, help luggage, waiter to the room to introduce the facilities in detail. We booked a triple room, the room was really big, completely exceeded expectations! The most surprising thing is that there is a separate small pool at the door of the room that belongs to us! But the hotel does not have a quilt. There is a list. Anyway, we climbed Kilimanjaro and brought a sleeping bag. I found that the hotel here is also for a list of Sang Island... That night, we had dinner at the hotel restaurant, the dishes tasted very good, especially their mixed vegetables, tasted very good, very fresh. The buffet breakfast the next day, although the variety is not particularly large, the taste is also great. This is a very distinctive and exquisite hotel. From the overall layout to every decoration detail, you can see the hotel's intentions, very stylish, and the environment is particularly clean. The experience was very good, we were even thinking that if we come back next time, or after going down the mountain from Chirimagaro, we must stay here again!
