I stayed at La Serena Hotel alone for one night during a long international layover, and the location was exactly what I needed. Being close to Taksim Square made everything very convenient, with plenty of restaurants, cafés, convenience stores, and nightlife nearby. It was easy to explore the area on foot and enjoy a bit of Istanbul despite the short transit time. The room was simple but comfortable for a solo traveler, and the staff were friendly during check-in. Overall, it’s a very practical choice for people staying one night in Istanbul between flights.
I stayed at this airport hotel near Sabiha Gökçen for an expensive pric. While the location is convenient and the room was generally clean, there were several operational issues that should be addressed.
Upon check-in, the shower pipe in my room was faulty. The staff promptly arranged for a technician, which I appreciate. However, this indicates that rooms may not be thoroughly checked before guest arrival. A simple pre-check process could prevent such inconvenience.
There were also no facial tissues provided in either the room or bathroom. This is a very basic amenity that most travelers expect, particularly at this price level.
In addition, the hotel does not offer a coin laundry facility. For an airport hotel that likely serves transit guests, this would be a highly practical addition.
The staff were responsive when contacted, and I appreciated the availability of slippers in the room. However, improving basic quality control and ensuring essential amenities are consistently provided would significantly enhance the guest experience.
I hope this feedback is helpful for future improvements.
This hotel is very nice for your budget it like 90 RM for a night the room is very big i dint expect the room is big like 5 atar hotel for me as solo traveller it was very comfortable. For who stay only for airport i recommended stay at here if u like using public transport like bus it was easy H-6 to airport u need just walk a liitle more to a middle street it more easier to spot a bus over there.
👍👍👍👍👍
Only the area just nothing but u can get a convienence store nearby
Overall, the hotel made a rather pleasant impression. The positives:
+ nice room design
+ climate control
+ wifi was fine
+ the single bed was wide enough and comfortable
+ nice staff
+ you can get right to the hotel by bus H-6, the ride takes 25-30 minutes from the airport
One huge downside:
- There was rust and leakage under the sink in the bathroom. Before I noticed it, it had made a towel and a toilet paper roll (that were below it) completely wet.

It’s ok for those who is only thinking about sleep at night but nothing else. They moved us from our first existing room to the other small room for an excuse that they will do some work on the room but the very next day or the immediate day we don’t even know there is another guest apparently came.we paid for bigger room but end up in a small bedroom which was not fair.Power plug has no electricity, walls are cracked all the amenity is way too old I feel like I am living in a musium. However I got what I paid for and that’s how I can convince myself.Thank you Turkey and will see u next time.

The hotel's location, slightly removed from the bustling Kadıköy city center, was a plus as it offered peace and quiet. Its proximity to the bus terminal and metro station made it incredibly convenient for exploring various parts of Istanbul via public transport. Overall, the hotel was in good condition, and the staff were friendly.
Was a good location
Approx £10 in taxi fare from airport
Food restaurants nearby
Room was spacious and clean
Bedding was fresh
No water in room or toothpaste which was 🙅🏽
Other than that it was all good.
Nice pleasant trip
Quick stopover
I had a fantastic experience at Melanj Airport Hotel. Omer and his team were incredibly friendly, professional, and welcoming—they truly made me feel at home from the moment I arrived.
The room was spotless, comfortable, and well-equipped, perfect for a restful stop before or after a flight. The location is super convenient—just minutes from Istanbul Airport, making it ideal for a layover or early departure.
If you’re looking for great service, cleanliness, and comfort near the airport, this is the place to stay. Highly recommended!
Its quite good if you need an airport hotel, its walkable from the metro though going from the metro is a bit uphill, going the other way is easier. The place is modern, clean, and gets the job done for a night. My room had a huge balcony. If your flight arrives after midnight it's unfortunate you will have to deal with the absurd taxi mafia at IST, just to get to this hotel which wasnt that far it was almost $20 at 1am. All the taxis are scammers and Uber/Bitaksi are also an inflated price. There's one night bus it seems that wld make more sense than dealing with the taxis.
This stay was particularly good, exceeding my expectations overall. The hotel's location is excellent, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. The front desk staff were warm and polite, and check-in was very fast, with attentive and thoughtful service. The guest room was clean and tidy, with a sensible layout, and the bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a wonderfully peaceful night's sleep. The room had good natural light and ventilation, and the bathroom facilities were complete, with a stable hot water supply and quality toiletries. The common areas were spotless, and the environment was quiet and elegant. The breakfast offered a rich variety of choices and tasted delicious, catering to different needs. Whether for leisure travel or a business trip, this hotel is an excellent choice with great value for money. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit and highly recommend it to everyone.

GGuest UserХороший отель. Хорошее местоположение, чистота в номерах и очень отзывчивый персонал
XXiaowen31Pros:
1. The breakfast offers a mix of traditional Turkish breakfast and Western options, with a great variety of cheeses and plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables.
2. Although the room is small, it's very tidy and clean. It gets cleaned daily, and the bed sheets are changed every day.
3. The location is excellent. It's within walking distance of Yedikule Fortress and Marble Tower, and only an 8-minute walk to the sea.
4. The surrounding area is a residential neighborhood with schools, making it very quiet.
5. The hotel's Wi-Fi is super fast and never lags.
Areas for improvement:
1. It would be great if there was an airport shuttle service.
GGuilherme BoujadiThe hotel, room and staff are great!
There is something that honestly brothered me.
Anything bought at the hotel bar had a 10% mandatory service charge.
And this 10% does NOT go to the empoles who are there serving, but to the hotel company.
Does not seem fair
OORRACHAPORNThe accommodation is clean and the service is good. I am very impressed and I will definitely come back to use the service again because I like this place.
I really commend you to come and see a guy you will feel comfortable.😊
GGuest UserHighly recommend, better than expected! The lobby is grand and stylish, and the location is excellent, within walking distance to Hagia Sophia and the Grand Bazaar. The room facilities aren't modern, but they are well-maintained. The AC temperature control, shower water temperature, and pressure were all perfect. A special shout-out to Murat at the front desk for being polite and friendly; he managed to check us in without much delay (possibly due to it being the off-season). Every evening, the front desk would proactively call to ask if we needed any assistance or supplies, and when we requested more mineral water, housekeeping quickly delivered it. I also highly recommend including breakfast, otherwise, it's genuinely hard to find diverse breakfast options outside.
GGuest UserThe hotel has a fantastic overall vibe. The rooms are incredibly spacious and comfortable, and the bed is an absolute dream to sleep in. Even the toiletries smell luxurious! The staff are exceptionally attentive, polite, and thorough. They're always on hand to assist with any request.
WWoshibaoherongyeLet me break down my review:
**Pros:**
1. The staff were excellent. They were proactive in their communication, and every time I returned, they'd actively stand up and greet me with a ”HOW ARE YOU.”
2. The front desk staff were also very helpful when I asked for directions.
3. The room was clean, the carpet showed no signs of dirt, and after cleaning, they would spray a fragrance, so there were no unpleasant odors.
4. We arrived an hour early, and they allowed us to check in after waiting just 20 minutes.
**Cons:**
1. The toilet seat was broken. I was already very tired, and since we had checked in early, I didn't ask for a room change. However, it was really inconvenient because it moved around while I was using it.
2. The complimentary drinking water provided was just a small cup; other hotels usually offer bottled water.
3. The curtains were too narrow and couldn't close properly (you can see in the pictures). I even had to pull and stick them together myself, otherwise, I wouldn't have been able to sleep well (as I'm sensitive to light).
4. There's a house renovation project going on downstairs, and there was a lot of noise even at 10:30 PM. Closing the window helped a lot, but it was still loud. So, if you don't like noisy city areas, be aware ⚠️.
5. The breakfast was the simplest I've had in Turkey. As you can see in the pictures, the egg pancake was an extra charge, so I didn't order it. But it might have been really cheap, which explains it.
Overall, while the price was affordable, when you're traveling, you truly realize how important comfort is once you've stayed somewhere. So, next time, I will choose a place with a better environment.
GGuest UserExcellent stay with family here for 5 nights. Cant fault anything as the staff was good and the facilities great especially the inside swimming pool that we enjoyed. Good location an close to transport and metro.
