The environment is quiet and beautiful, right opposite Lake Te Anau. We had no choice as all other accommodations nearby were fully booked, and this was the last room available. If you don't have high expectations and just need a place to sleep for a night or two, it's a great experience. Parking is available right outside the door, and the price is very affordable. There's a shared kitchen and bathrooms. It might be even cheaper during the off-season. Definitely recommended.
The hotel is very new and the rooms are quite standard. The Indian lady at the front desk was very casual. She said she would change the milk bottle and record the room number. No one was there in the middle of the night. Ctrip was very helpful and handled it immediately after communication. It is very close to the Fisheries Bureau. You can go to Bluff to try to get an abalone knife. The wind and waves were too strong that day and I couldn't catch it. But remember to return the abalone knife to the Fisheries Bureau.
Please inform customers before you change the rooms for them. I had booked mine for the bath, then you gave me a different room on arrival, not even explaining why you had to change the rooms. So I had to see staff at the reception again after checking to sort it out. In the end, i got the room with the bath.I am sorry to say that your place smelt musty that is not right for accommodation for the health and safety reasons. I have also found mould in the bathroom you might want to look at. Hope all gets sorted soon. Thanks. Best.
The hotel is located right by the lake, making it very convenient for walks. The room was quite comfortable, but there's no elevator to the second floor, so we had to carry our own luggage. This was a major inconvenience for us, especially after a long trip with large suitcases. Also, the breakfast selection was quite limited.
The hotel is situated right by the lake, offering fantastic views. The rooms are well-appointed, and the check-in and check-out process was quick and efficient. Its proximity to the town center is a major plus, with great supermarkets and coffee shops nearby. It's an ideal spot for a one-night stop before heading to the fjords.
The location is excellent, as the lake is just a short walk away. Restaurants were also easily accessible on foot. The space was ample, and having a kitchen meant we could prepare simple meals. The on-site laundry facilities were very convenient.

1. The location and facilities of the hotel are very good. At the southernmost end of the South Island, the hotel is facing the sea. The entrance of the hotel is the net red punching place. It is about 30 kilometers from the city of Invercargill and only about 3 kilometers from the boat terminal to Stewart Island. It is very convenient to take a boat to Stewart Island in the morning. We drove along the coast from Dunedin the first day. Because the road was too hi, it was already ten o'clock in the evening when we arrived at the hotel. Parking at the entrance and back of the hotel was very convenient. The front desk took the key and checked in to the room.
2. excellent service! The breakfast room waiter is very patient and meticulous! She actually made three different eggs for the children, thank you very much!
3. Special thanks to the hotel owner and his team! We continued south by boat the next day, stayed for two nights on Stuart Island, New Zealand's third largest island, and then returned by car through Queenstown and other places to arrive in Christchurch for two nights. It was not until during Christchurch that the children's favorite dolls were missing, and the children were very sad. We were dying to remember that the dolls should have fallen under the bed in the hotel room. Holding the cockroach to call the boss, the boss is very patient and friendly to listen to us explain the situation, then arrange for colleagues to go to the room to find the doll, and then call us back as soon as possible to confirm and ask colleagues to send courier to the Auckland hotel we will stay in the next two days, The courier arrived in Auckland earlier than us, and the boss further contacted the Auckland Hotel and helped us confirm that the courier had been received. We called the boss to express our gratitude and asked for payment of courier fees and other fees, but the boss said that this is a small thing and does not require us to pay. We are so embarrassed and grateful!
In a foreign country, I can live in such a hotel, I can meet such a boss and his colleagues, I feel that it has exceeded the accommodation itself, let us deeply feel the care of friends and family! I look forward to staying in Braf for another period of my next trip!
A small apartment with privacy and parking in front of the door. Not the newest but very well equipped, especially the kitchen. There were various cooking utensils and coffee, tea and hot chocolate.
It is very spacious and you can sit comfortably at a table or work because the WiFi is reliable and stable.
You can wash and dry laundry.
The motel is right on the main road and therefore it is a bit noisy when there is a lot of traffic.
It is also a bit outside the city center. However, shops are within walking distance.

Great
JJustin 0I had a wonderful two-night stay here. The owner was incredibly friendly, helpful, and full of great information. My room was spacious and spotlessly clean, and it was a huge bonus to have a fully equipped kitchen for some light cooking. The bathroom was also squeaky clean. I would definitely recommend this motel!
HHickeyThe room was small being disappointing from other good IBIS Hotels have had bigger. In this case the ceiling had mould which is not good at all being left there. I should have asked to change rooms but stayed in it with little window viewing as well along with ventilation. The hallway stinks of cooked Indian food they need to put in air fresheners to take that bad ordour away. The staff were friendly and amenities were very plentiful. Suggest to have bigger bowls and cups being very little to eat from. Car parking is a problem at this place either on the street paying for it from 8:00am to 5:00pm or over in a mall car park for $10.00 a night. So factor that in if staying here. Better to get a place that provides it as it was a hassle to be up at 8:00am to go downstairs and pay for this each morning. Overall for money and value feel could have done better else where.

AAnonymous UserInitially, I was hesitant to book this hotel, thinking it might be a motel. But I really couldn't find any other hotels available. Upon closer inspection, I realized this room type was great: two bedrooms – one with a king bed, one with a queen, plus bunk beds. It was more than enough space. The environment was lovely, and we even had a little cat visit us!
GGuest UserWe got a basic cabin (our room didnt have a personal ref. other rooms beside ours had one.
Overall, our stay was great (we even got to see the clear sky with stars in the evening from the camping ground). The shared toilet is great-- clean and with many stalls; also has hair blower available). The shared kitchen is busy during peak hours-- you might want to bring your own pan or pot since the ”nicer” ones are usually being used.

GGuest UserThe balcony faces the road, which is a bit noisy. It is not a good choice for those who have poor sleep quality! But the scenery is beautiful, right by the river! There are not many choices for food in the town. It is mainly for a rest on the way to the fjord, otherwise it will be very tiring to go back and forth from Queenstown on the same day!

GGuest UserThe main reason to go to Invercargill is to check in at the world's southernmost Starbucks. Etc. The hotel parking lot is in the public parking lot diagonally opposite. You need to register your license plate at the front desk before you can park, but it is free. There is a shopping mall in Invercargill and the world's southernmost Starbucks near the hotel. There is also a Queen's Park to visit. The town is not big and not crowded and very quiet.
GGuest UserThe best motel in all aspects of this trip. The internal facilities are high-end, modern and luxurious, and very complete. Especially the wall-mounted furnace, which is warm and odorless, and very beautiful, and the flame color and light color can be adjusted; the washroom also provides a women's cosmetic bag, which is very considerate. We stayed in the Tamara Deluxe Studio on the second floor, with a large balcony. The balcony has a view of the lake and snow-capped mountains, as well as the hotel's exquisite small garden nursery. Every morning, you can see the morning mist of the lake and the golden mountain of the snow-capped mountains on the balcony, which is particularly beautiful. The hotel is located on the main road by the lake, and it is very convenient to go to the lake, the fjord, and the lakeside for a walk. It can almost be given a full score.
