Overall our stay at the hotel was pleasant. However, there is room for improvement regarding the early morning room cleaning. At around 8:30 a.m., the vacuuming and cleaning noises from cleaning staff in the room next to ours were quite loud, which made it difficult for us to get a good rest, especially so early in the morning. There is also cigarette smell in the corridor, but fortunately it was not spread into room. The staff receptionist is very friendly and made us feel welcome all the time. The bedsheet is clean and comfortable.

I had a pleasant stay at Purest Hotel overall. The location is very convenient, making it easy to access nearby amenities and get around the area. I also appreciate the team’s prompt response whenever I made a request — the service was efficient and attentive. That said, one area for improvement would be the pigeon situation at the car park, which could be better managed to enhance cleanliness and overall guest experience. With some attention to this, the stay experience would be even better.

The receptionist was exceptionally helpful and professional, always ready to assist with any questions. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend this hotel to others. Additionally, the water pressure in the shower was a bit slow. Despite these minor issues, we still had a pleasant stay and would consider coming back again.

One thing to note is that there is only a single mini mart within the hotel and the prices are a bit on the higher side. On my first morning, I ordered breakfast through Grab instead, which was still convenient since delivery services can reach the hotel easily. The room floor had some visible stubborn stains and the hotel does not provide room slippers, so you may want to consider bringing your own if you prefer not to walk barefoot in the room. Overall, it’s still a good option for travellers looking for a quiet and relaxing stay in Langkawi, especially if you plan to drive around the island.

The Executive King room was spacious and comfortable, definitely a plus. The location is very strategic, with plenty of shops nearby, which made everything convenient. The bathroom was also clean and quite big, so that was satisfying. However, there are a few areas for improvement. The pillow had a rather strong smell, possibly from detergent or softener, which was a bit uncomfortable. The room is not very soundproof at night, you can hear kids running and playing outside the room, which may disturb sleep. Also, the towels were a bit thin. Overall, still a good stay, especially for the space and location, but some small improvements could make it much better.

Check-in process was smooth, with RM50 deposit required. Free parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis, though the number of parking spaces is limited. The room was okay for two people but not very spacious. Amenities were very basic — towels, toothbrush, face towel, and facial tissue were not initially provided. I dont know but the towel was not prepared at check-in. After calling the receptionist, I was informed it would be ready at 4pm, but no towel was delivered even after that time. I had to call again, and only then was it sent immediately. But, its a plus point, that the location is very strategic. The hotel is within walking distance to a mall and nearby convenience marts, which is very convenient.

Everything felt neat and tidy upon arrival, and the overall environment was nice. One thing to note is that there is no lift available, which might be inconvenient for some guests. However, you can request a ground floor room from the staff, and they are helpful in accommodating when possible. Overall, it’s a good option if you’re looking for a clean and simple place to stay in Alor Setar.

Nice hotel near Pekan Rabu. Has breakfast buffet, but quite basic. There is a big and comfortable lobby, with welcoming coffee and some biscuits. There’s also a Alor Setar foodcourt right behind the hotel for more breakfast options, if you didnt opt for the hotel breaskfast. Room is dated, of average size with no balcony, twin room is bigger than double room. We didnt have a proper wardrobe in our room, only an open space next to the TV, to hang our clothes. The bed is ok, not too soft, pillows are quite comfortable; while the towels are not very thick/plush. A good choice if you wish to walk around to explore Alor Setar town. We walked all the way to the Masjid/Dataran Alor Setar in the morning when it wasnt too hot. Bathroom is quite dated, there was an issue with the drainage when we were there.
