This is our second stay at this hotel. The location is excellent, less than a 10-minute walk from the subway station, right behind the Shinsaibashi Ferris Wheel, so it's super easy to find. We were two adults and one child, and booked a triple room. The room was genuinely tiny, so small it was hard to even open our luggage, but it had everything we needed. They provide three bottles of water daily, and there's a free ice machine available. The room was cleaned every day. The breakfast was very Japanese; it wasn't really to our taste, but it was enough to tide us over.

This is one of the most suitable hotels I've stayed at during my recent business trips! Here's why:
1. The room is relatively spacious and comfortably laid out.
2. The business desk and chair are excellent.
3. There's a humidifier (air purifier) in the room, which is a great touch.
4. Li San, a Chinese staff member at the front desk, provided excellent service!
5. The 'eco-cleaning' service is a plus!
6. The bed frame is designed to be high, allowing luggage to be stored underneath.
7. There's a folding mirror in the drawer, among other thoughtful amenities. This hotel truly lives up to its 'prestige' series — it has everything you need and nothing you don't. I hope they continue to improve and get even better!
Bonus suggestion: Providing bottled mineral water would make it even better!
What a surprise that Hotel Nikko Osaka is kind of 5 stars services to us .
A welcome warmth anniversary chocolate gift box on the table when we walk into the room.
The room might look tiny but not really I can tell that. They have smart design on the long couch sofa with ample space below , thus we can open up luggage and put under the couch sofa .
So smart and Neat design! Overall service is 5 stars like . They have plenty of counter with fluent English speaking staffs .
No worries for foreign who can't speak Japanese.
Highly Recommend to purchase room with breakfast along .
They have provide both Japanese style and Western mix Japanese style buffet at different level .
We have tried both restaurants for the different breakfast days .
Overall Experience is superb !
Last but not least , we managed to purchase way bus ticket from Hotel to Osaka Kansai Terminal Airport that limo bus services by the Hotel Nikko !!!
So convenience for us once again !!!

Smile Hotel Shinsaibashi in Osaka truly exceeded my expectations, offering a five-star experience. The location is superb, right next to the bustling Shinsaibashi shopping district. Everything from shopping and dining to attractions is within easy reach, yet the hotel itself is a tranquil oasis, providing a peaceful escape from the city's hustle and bustle. The cleanliness was impeccable; every corner of the room was spotless, the bedding pristine, and the bathroom gleamed. The air was fresh and pleasant. While the facilities aren't luxurious, they are complete and practical. The comfortable mattress ensured a good night's sleep, and thoughtful amenities like air conditioning and an air purifier were much appreciated. The staff were a true highlight – everyone from the front desk to the housekeeping team was warm and friendly, always greeting guests with a smile, patiently answering questions, and even hand-drawing maps to help with directions, which made me feel incredibly welcome. In summary, with its convenient location, pristine environment, excellent facilities, and attentive service, this is an outstanding choice for anyone visiting Osaka. My only regret is that this was just a stopover for me, and I only stayed for one day before heading to Kyoto. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Osaka.

The best decision I made on this Osaka trip was staying at this hotel run by a Chinese owner! The owner's warmth truly added so much comfort to our international travels, completely eliminating any feeling of unfamiliarity or communication barriers.
The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic. It's just a few minutes' walk to the subway station, making it incredibly convenient for shopping in Shinsaibashi and Namba. There are plenty of convenience stores and eateries nearby, so finding food and getting around is effortless. The room was quite spacious for a Japanese hotel, clean, tidy, and well-equipped. The bathroom, with its separate wet and dry areas, was very comfortable to use, and we could even fully open our suitcases, making our stay very relaxed.
What touched me most was the owner's thoughtfulness. Before we even checked in, they provided detailed directions from the airport to the hotel, explaining every transfer clearly. During our stay, whether we asked about sightseeing tips or transportation, they patiently answered all our questions and even shared hidden local food gems that only locals would know. We checked out when we needed to leave.

Great location and in Osaka. Our room was on the larger side for Japanese hotel rooms so that was an added bonus. The bathtub had a large window with a great view of the city! The option to do laundry while traveling with a toddler was a lifeline! Certainly would recommend to families traveling with small children.

The hotel room was quite spacious for Japanese standards, and it was a convenient walk to the subway station. The TV in the room wasn't directly facing the bed, but rather the sofa side. Overall, this hotel offers great value for money and I'd recommend it for travelers. The cleanliness was excellent, and both check-in and check-out were very smooth. They even deliver all your luggage to your room, so the service is fantastic.

Staying here was really comfortable. I felt the room was quite spacious and very clean, with great facilities. The service was also excellent. It's one of the best hotels I've stayed at in Osaka. Plus, there are convenience stores nearby, so I'd always grab a few things on my way back each day.
The location is incredibly convenient, tucked away in an alley right opposite Daimaru. It's super easy to get anywhere for shopping, and the subway station is really close. The hotel room isn't too small, and neither is the bed. Best of all, the price is really good! Plus, there's a duty-free 7-Eleven right across the street!

Value and Booking:
We secured an excellent promotional rate by booking approximately one month in advance, making this our most cost-effective accommodation in Japan. The average daily cost was approximately $100 AUD (or $65 USD), representing superb value for money.
Accommodation (Standard Double Room Non-Smoking):
Space Constraint - The room size is extremely compact. Guests traveling with two large suitcases will find the floor space severely limited, which can impede movement and even obstruct the bathroom door access.
Bathroom Configuration - The unitized bathroom/toilet is notably small, reminiscent of an airplane lavatory configuration. While clean, this is a unique space constraint that future guests should be aware of.
Cleanliness and Maintenance - The room was clean and well-maintained overall. However, we did observe minor signs of wear, specifically light mildew/molding on the window seals and in some room corners, which could be addressed.
Pest Control - We were relieved to find no evidence of bed bugs during our stay, despite hearing general reports of issues in other cities in Japan (like Osaka).
Service and Guest Experience:
The hotel service was outstanding. We were traveling with a two-year-old child and requested an early check-in to accommodate a mid-day nap. The hotel staff were highly accommodating and facilitated an early entry, which significantly improved our experience and is greatly appreciated.
Target Audience Note: As the name suggests, the hotel seems to cater primarily to business travelers over leisure guests, which may influence certain expectations regarding room functionality versus amenities.

GGuest UserThis hotel is the closest to Universal Studios, just a few minutes' walk to the ticket gates, and offers full views of Universal Studios from the rooms. It's incredibly convenient to get to: you can take the subway from the airport, transfer once, and the hotel is just tens of meters from the exit. For Japan, the rooms are quite spacious, and the bathroom is sparkling clean with a separate wet and dry area. The lobby is luxuriously decorated with some futuristic, high-tech elements. Right outside the hotel is the Universal Citywalk, packed with eateries and Universal-themed shops. The food on Citywalk is all pretty good; the Gekko-ryu takoyaki is better than the other place, and the fried wagyu was also delicious. The subway from the airport gets you right to the hotel's doorstep with just one transfer, making transportation extremely convenient.
FFanxiaotutuThis is our second stay at this hotel. AAnonymous UserThe room was quite spacious, as advertised online. However, the sofa by the window sill didn't appear very clean under the lighting. The hotel offers a public bath and is conveniently located near Universal Studios. It was promoted as being the closest to the subway station, and one of the slightly more distant options from Universal itself. But in practice, all the hotels in this area are just a short walk from one another. With restaurants, 7-Eleven, Lawson, and Starbucks nearby, it's very convenient. The best part about staying near Universal is being able to enjoy the park until its 10 PM closing time, then grab a late dinner nearby before heading back to the hotel to unwind.
SSollee- Spa was good, breakfast was good.
- Location was good; we could go shopping or eating outside easily. The area across the station felt a bit unsafe, and there were some homeless people around.
- Very clean floors in the entire building since everyone had to take off shoes at the lobby.
- After check-out, the hotel allows guests to store their luggage if guests stay on the premises to enjoy the spa. However, if guests leave the hotel after checkout and then return later, the hotel does not offer luggage storage. In that case, you have to use the coin lockers in front of the hotel. It was a bit inconvenient because I had to exchange money again to use the locker. That was the only inconvenience.
NNuoketeThe room was spacious and the location was super convenient. Honestly, I think those negative reviews complaining about cleanliness are nitpicking. There's a laundry room, vending machines, an ice maker, and a microwave on the 21st floor, which is really handy. Plus, there's a Lawson convenience store on the second floor. It's also really close to Rinku Premium Outlets, and there's a big supermarket near the large parking lot downstairs. They offer an airport shuttle, but you need to book it in advance.
PPinkynanaThe OMO hotel was the perfect choice for our last night in Osaka! I highly recommend the 24-hour supermarket and the self-service Korean BBQ restaurant nearby. The laundry and drying facilities were also a huge plus. The outlet mall didn't have many brands, but the seaside views were beautiful.
CChocoAlisonThe location is very convenient, with JR lines directly to the airport and Expo, Osaka Loop Line and Midosuji Line directly to the city center. There is a large 7-11 and a Café de Cabrera downstairs. A five-minute walk will take you to a super large Life supermarket, which sells sashimi, bento, and cooked food. For breakfast, there are a variety of packaged breads, rice balls, drinks and soups, as well as yogurt pudding and yogurt, but you have to go early, as there will be no choice after 8:30. You can take your breakfast back to your room and eat it without taking it out of the hotel. Free umbrellas are provided when it rains. There is no bottled water in the room, only a kettle. Ice can be picked up on the 8th floor. There is coffee and tea bags available for pick-up in the lobby. The hotel only provides shower gel, shampoo and conditioner, and skin care product samples need to be purchased for 500 yen. The hygiene is very good. The auntie cleans the room very carefully. She will put everything away and put it back in place, and help fold clothes. There is only one chair in the 4-person room, it would be better if there were one or two more chairs. After 10pm, you need to swipe your room card to enter the hotel, which is quite safe.
AAnonymous UserThis hotel is fantastic! I booked it last minute for an early flight the next day, and it's super close to the tram. Plus, they offer free airport shuttle service. It's also right next to an outlet mall, so after checking in my luggage at the front desk, I went shopping. Check-in was after 3 PM, and the room was quite spacious – no problem opening my suitcase. You can grab coffee and toiletries at the front desk. The airport drop-off the next day was perfectly on time, and it only took about 10 minutes from driving off to getting out of the car at the airport.

AAnonymous UserI stayed at Oriental Hotel Universal City and had a comfortable overall experience. The location is definitely the highlight—just steps away from Universal Studios Japan and surrounded by plenty of restaurants and shops, which made everything very convenient.
The room was clean, spacious compared to typical city hotels, and the beds were comfortable. The décor felt a bit dated in some areas, but everything functioned well. Staff were friendly and helpful, and check-in was smooth.
Overall, it’s a solid choice if you’re visiting USJ and want convenience and comfort without needing anything too fancy. I would stay here again for a future park visit.
