The location of the hotel is pretty convenient. 5–6 minutes walk to Hommachi St., which you can easily use to travel to Kyoto, Kobe, etc.
The check-in and check-out were really fast, and we had an upgrade, which was worth the price. I had read the previous reviews about the rudeness of the staff, which is not actually due to this, but it’s the language barrier that could make a tired traveller a little less patient.
If you wish to ask something more specific, please don’t be afraid to use the Google Translate app to help you with the communication. The staff have been really helpful to all of our enquiries.
Some remarks were about the hotel lobby being on the 15th floor, but they have a dedicated entrance for taxis or cars to reach the hotel.
Bonus: if you exit through KoKuMiN Osaka Metro
Yodoyabashi Station (Exit 4) on your right is a local grocery store that sells local produce and other fruits/food products. It's cheaper to go here to buy your drinks and fruits, etc.

Traveling with kids, we booked a family room, which was essentially two standard rooms connected by a door. This made it super convenient for the kids to run between rooms and play, while the adults still had their own private space without disturbing each other. The rooms weren't overly spacious but were well-arranged and kept spotlessly clean. It was easy to get around from the hotel, and we had a very comfortable stay. A small point to note is that there's a step up to the bathroom, so kids need to be careful not to trip. Overall, the value for money was excellent.

The hotel is easy to find, conveniently located, and close to landmarks and popular check-in spots. Even if you arrive late at night, you can check in by yourself. The staff provides great recommendations and excellent service. Most importantly, they even offer candies, which is a wonderful touch!
Better than expected!
1. It's a 3-5 minute walk from Universal Studios, and across the street diagonally is the JR station, making transportation very convenient.
2. The facilities are great. Although the room is small, it has everything you need. Even the bath bombs were Halloween-themed! The toilet and washing area are separate, which is a plus.
3. There are many dining options available within the hotel, which is very convenient.
4. There's a small built-in aquarium with beautiful jellyfish near the elevators, which the kids absolutely loved.

The room was incredibly small; there was no space to move around once a suitcase was opened. The 'double bed' was actually two single beds pushed together. Check-out is at 10 AM, and extending it to 2 PM costs an additional 2000 yen. The location is convenient, making it very easy to get to Shinsaibashi. Luggage storage is free. The front desk service was mediocre – no extra words or smiles.
The hotel's surroundings are excellent, with convenient transportation; there are 3 subway stations within 1 km. However, I did notice some discrimination against Chinese guests, especially from the breakfast restaurant staff. Their service attitude clearly differed between Chinese guests and Caucasians. While it might not bother everyone, it was noticeable. Overall, this hotel is still worth staying at. The room cleaning was also very good and timely.
The hotel was great overall, but there were some minor issues.
The air conditioner seemed dusty, and there was some dust in a few areas of the room, as if it hadn’t been fully cleaned. On the second night, the air conditioner stopped working properly and wasn’t cooling. However, the hotel staff responded well by moving us to a new room with a working air conditioner and offered us free breakfast for two days as an apology.
The location is excellent — very close to the JR station (West Exit), with a Family Mart and a 24-hour Tamade store nearby.
Location: Pretty average. While you can see Osaka Castle, it's really far from the train station, and not a central one, so you always have to transfer. Taking a taxi anywhere costs 100+ yen each time.
Facilities: Since it's relatively new, the facilities are fine, no issues there. But the rooms are really small, especially in the double rooms where there's basically no space on either side or in front of the bed. It usually sells for just over 1,000 yen on weekdays, but this time, because of a Japanese holiday, it was over 3,000 yen.
Decor: To be honest, it feels quite cheap. The music you hear from the guest rooms at night is also a bit eerie...
Service: The greeters were definitely hand-picked for their looks. They give you cookies at check-in, and thankfully, they confirmed my allergies. However, my request for a late check-out due to a flight delay was denied.
I booked breakfast, but they wouldn't let me in after 10:00 (last entry). That was my fault for missing it, but they did let me take a cup of coffee.
Honestly, unless you absolutely *have* to see Osaka Castle, there's no benefit to staying here.

I used to stay at the old Keihan Tenmabashi hotel every time, but this time I tried the Tenmabashi Station Front store. A 21-square-meter room is considered quite spacious in Japan. The separate wet and dry areas, along with a door to the bedroom, make it super convenient. The location is also a major plus, making it easy to get to Kyoto, and there's a shopping mall across the street. Everything you need for food, accommodation, and transportation is right there.

The front desk service was excellent, and they even had staff who spoke Chinese. I stayed for four nights, and the cleaning schedule was fine. The room was quite clean when I checked in, and while it was a bit small, that's pretty normal. It's convenient for getting everywhere, with Shinsaibashi's Midosuji Line and Sakaisuji Line both just a 10-minute walk away.

Great
潘潘lucienWe were fortunate to book a hotel right in front of Universal Studios for this trip with our kids. The location is perfect — just a 3-minute walk to the park, with a Starbucks and Lawson right outside and plenty of dining options nearby. Although it was crowded due to summer holidays, the hotel had everything we needed and is ideal for families with young children. The room was very clean, with no unpleasant odors or smoke smell. There are also washing machines, dryers, water dispensers, and an ice machine available. Staying at a hotel so close to the park made our trip truly enjoyable!
YyucongseuExcellent stay! The room was very spacious, and the facilities and service were consistently up to InterContinental standards. The view from the window was great, offering a glimpse of the red Ferris wheel. The location is superb, right next to Osaka Station and Umeda Station, making transportation incredibly convenient. There are tons of shops and restaurants nearby, so dining, drinking, and shopping are all very easy. Plus, breakfast is free for children under six, which is a great value.
Hhh_like_teaGreat Location- right in the central of shinshaibashi.
Not a fancy hotel and the outside street can be bit messy with all the clubs n bars and people smoking.
But overall room is clean and quiet. Window can be open for fresh air this is bonus.
Room lighting is dark and fridge is not cold.
GGuest UserI stayed at this hotel for the second time and was impressed by its consistent quality. The room was spotlessly clean, and Sexually transmitted infection: and well-equipped with modern facilities, ensuring a comfortable stay. The location is highly convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and transport. The staff were courteous and attentive, providing excellent service throughout my visit. My only complaint is that the milk vending machine was frequently out of stock, which was a minor inconvenience. Overall, the hotel offers a pleasant and reliable experience, making it a great choice for travelers. I would definitely consider returning for future stays.
SSummerI know toilet paper in Japan is generally thin, but out of all the hotels I've stayed at, this is the only one where the paper crumbles instantly and leaves large pieces, making it very difficult to use.
The room had an odd shape, but it was spacious, and the view was great (though there was a large handprint on the window that I only noticed when I turned on the lights at night, which startled me).
The location is a plus, with direct access to the station, so you don't have to cross any streets above ground. However, the downside of sharing with an office building is that only some elevators go to the hotel rooms, and you have to switch elevators again for breakfast, which is a bit inconvenient.
The staff were all friendly and enthusiastic, thank you.
GGuest UserThis hotel is awesome and this is our second trip to stay in this hotel within 10 days. We have been booked 21-24nov on our first stay and we plan to travel Osaka one more time so i have booked second stay from28nov-01dec. The hotel location no deny is the best. When you get off the airport limounsine to Osaka station it only take you 2 minutes walk to the hotel. SO SO SO many shopping malls around in walking distance with good food. I plan to go again in Feb26 and plan to stay in this hotel again. This hotel very quiet which i can't here any single noise from other guest which make my stay perfect. The restaurant which this time we have tried the buffet which is amazing and must try.
YYanzi63The room size was just right, and the twin room didn't feel cramped for two people. It offered great value for money, and the bedding was comfortable. You can enjoy the hot spring on the third floor, and the rooftop restaurant has a fantastic view. They even provided vouchers for afternoon drinks. The breakfast was rich and delicious. It's very close to the outlet mall, just a few minutes' walk away. Getting to Kansai Airport by Nankai Electric Railway or JR is only one stop. The hotel also offers a shuttle bus to the airport before 11 AM. I'll definitely come back again.
AAmarFromUKLocation:
Next to Bentencho station so easy access to Osaka loop line and Chuo Line for Subway and Rail. Really good location even though it's not central Osaka. The advantage is that you can still get everywhere within 10-20mins and the surrounding area is clean and safe and quiet.
There is a 7-11 next door and a commercial gym (charged at 1650 per day)
Negatives are there is not much to do in the evenings. But this leads to the quietness of the area and is an advantage
Hotel Room:
We stayed in double room and it was large. Nice comfortable bed with good pillows. The AC was modern and good and did not make noise even while we were asleep. The room is cleaned daily (tidy and new towels) with new sheets every 3 days. Shower gel, shampoo and conditioner provided. The room was also very clean. The bed has USB and chargers on either side of it. There is space to hang clothes
But the room is really nice. We always were glad to come back to a very clean and tidy place. The TV has English menus but we never watched anything.
Negatives are the fridge could be colder and the bathroom sink has a tiny slope on it so you cannot place product on the sink but you have a shelf above the sink for this. Very slight negatives for what is a great place to stay
Hotel features:
Excellent. Great laundry room with several washers & dryers. Trouser presses, vending machine and ice machine. A rooftop terrace with good views.
The breakfast is free and is underwhelming, just different bread and pastries with choices of juice, soups, water and yogurt. It's acceptable and I guess it's free.
The hotel lobby has little items you can take if needed, such as hair bands, toothbrushes, razor kits but something nice was that they give you bath bombs for free too. Different ones each day.
Staff:
Very friendly and helpful, even after midnight when I made requests they were very fast and helpful
Overview:
100% would stay here again. The price-to-quality ratio and the large room size make this an easy choice. Do not worry about location, I stayed it Dontonburi area before and alothgh its close to everything, its loud, dirty and feels unsafe. But the location of Porta Inn is really good and super easy to get to central areas (around 10-20mins) and easy to get to the airport (direct line) and easy to get to Universal Studios too.
NNaowarat13I arrived at Kansai airport, carrying a large 28-inch suitcase and a heavy backpack. Prior to arrival, the hotel informed me (by email) to take the hotel shuttle bus at stop S12 at Kansai International Airport. However, upon arrival, there was no clear signage at S12, no visible hotel shuttle bus, and no explanation distinguishing S12 from Bus Stop 12.
The hotel didn't tell me to aware of this confusing bus stop numbers.
For foreign guests, especially those unfamiliar with the airport layout, the difference between “S12” and “12” is not obvious at all. I could clearly see Bus Stop 12, but there was nothing indicating that this was not the same stop. As a result, I became confused and eventually took a public bus to Rinku Premium Outlets (300 yen), uncertain whether it would stop close to the hotel.
The walk from Rinku Premium Outlets to the hotel was very long and physically demanding, especially while pulling a large suitcase after a long flight. This was not a small inconvenience.
What makes this particularly disappointing is that there is a much easier alternative: taking the JR train to Rinku Town Station and walking a very short distance across the pedestrian bridge to the hotel. If this option had been clearly explained in advance, I would never have taken the bus to the outlets.
Unfortunately, the hotel’s email instructions appear to be copy-and-paste and do not reflect the real experience on site:
• There is no warning or emphasis that S12 and 12 are different stops with different buses.
• There are no photos, maps, or highlighted explanations.
• No consideration is shown for elderly guests or those traveling with heavy luggage.
What saddened me most was the response from the hotel staff when I explained the situation. I was told that “S12 was already explained,” which made me feel as though the confusion was considered the guest’s fault. A more empathetic and understanding response would have made a significant difference.
I believe this is a systemic communication issue that will continue to affect international guests unless clearer guidance and more guest-centered explanations are provided.
I hope the hotel will take this feedback seriously and improve both its transportation information and the way staff respond to guests who encounter predictable difficulties.
MMaei TravellerClean and good location. It's my first time in Osaka. Mostly I just walk to most of the tourist spots. There are multiple train stations within walking distance. Also, the best is that, the limousine bus from the airport does make a stop nearby this hotel. The room is spacious. Multiple convenience stores around. The 7 Eleven is just right next to the hotel. Awesome. Highly recommend.
