GGuest UserThe open-air bath was amazing! The changing room, shower room, and balcony open-air bath were all connected, which was great. The air purifier and the corners of the room were a little rough, but it wasn't too bad. The staff were very helpful and polite when I checked in! There were some shops open until around 10 PM, so I could go for a walk even after relaxing at the hotel! I couldn't go this time, so I'll save it for next time. (T_T) I was shocked that the room service I ordered was cold. The room didn't have a microwave, which was a problem! The food was delicious!! There was also a snack and drink set that looked delicious! Thank you so much!

GGuest UserThis was my favorite hotel of the trip. Everything was perfect, except for initially not knowing the shuttle bus stop and having to drag my luggage uphill. The shuttle runs every half hour; I even took photos for everyone's reference. **Regarding the Shuttle Bus:** Since we arrived by JR train, exiting the station puts you directly on the ground level. However, the shuttle stop is actually on the other side, opposite the regular bus terminal. It's easier to spot from the glass window on the second floor, near the service counter where desserts are sold. **Regarding Check-in:** Upon arrival, after registration, you'll be invited to relax in the lobby and enjoy complimentary cake and tea. They will then take your luggage to your room. The lobby is actually on the second floor, while the first floor houses the Pearl Powder Hot Spring, directly accessible by elevator. On the other side of the second floor is the restaurant, which also includes the teppanyaki section. If you wish to try teppanyaki, make sure to book in advance; on our visit, only the Japanese-style option was available, though it was quite delicious. The marshmallow roasting on the lawn is accessed by taking the stairs down from the restaurant area. The atmosphere is lovely, and tea is also served there. **Regarding the Room:** Our room overlooked the lawn and offered a great view. At night, make sure to draw both layers of curtains, as the room is quite visible from the lawn area. All toiletries in the room are from Mikimoto, and they're excellent. The hot spring area also provides them, and they are available for purchase at the lobby shop. **Regarding the Onsen (Hot Spring):** At the onsen entrance, there are vending machines selling milk and ice cream. I enjoy drinking a bottle after my bath; it's very refreshing. The other two flavors are coffee and lactic acid drink. The small lockers right inside the entrance are for shoes. The flat switch on the left can be pulled open to access your locker; remember to check the passcode before closing it. For those who might feel a bit shy, you can grab a small towel before changing. It can be used to cover yourself after undressing or placed on your head while bathing. I usually prefer to wash up in my room before coming down. **Regarding the Hotel (Choujotei):** I personally preferred the Japanese-style Choujotei building. Access to the hot springs is convenient there, and the Pearl Powder Hot Spring is truly sparkling and beautiful. The round pool within it has a slightly lower temperature, allowing for a longer soak. Between the two hotel shops (referring to the shops in Choujotei and the Western-style building), Choujotei's is more enjoyable to browse. The Western-style shop focuses more on pearls, while the Japanese-style Choujotei shop has a wide array of small souvenirs and trinkets, and also offers duty-free shopping. Dining and spa expenses incurred at the hotel can be charged to your room and settled upon check-out. The spa is for guests aged 18 and above; the service is excellent, and the essential oils smell wonderful. It's interesting to note that the staff in the Western-style area all wear suits, while those in the Japanese-style area wear kimonos. **One More Tip:** When waiting for the shuttle, make sure to be attentive and let the staff know you're waiting. Often, if there aren't many people and you're not directly by the door, or if you don't respond when they call, the shuttle might simply leave.

TTravelbugXOur stay at Sun Urashima Yuki no Sato was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and impeccable hospitality that made us feel truly special. The room was spacious, beautifully designed, and offered breathtaking views of Toba Bay. Waking up to the peaceful ocean scenery each morning was incredibly relaxing. The onsen was equally impressive—immaculately maintained, soothing, and the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring. The kaiseki dinner and breakfast were exceptional. Every dish showcased the freshness of the local seafood and seasonal ingredients, with each course thoughtfully presented. Dining here wasn’t just a meal—it was an experience. What stood out most was the attention to detail. Every staff member went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable, from the seamless check-in to the thoughtful service throughout our visit. You can genuinely feel the pride they take in providing outstanding hospitality. If you’re looking for an authentic luxury ryokan experience with amazing food, stunning views, and unforgettable service, Sun Urashima Yuki no Sato is absolutely worth the visit. We left feeling refreshed and already looking forward to returning someday.

GGuest UserIt's a clean and nice hotel. However, the bathrobe-style loungewear is easy to come undone, and the knot hurts when you lie down, which is annoying. It's quite stressful for someone who has come from far away and is tired and finally arrives at the hotel. I look forward to the future. The staff's service is polite and elegant, and the location is very close to the station, so I would like to use it again in the future. Personally, I don't think it's necessary to serve customers with masks. I remember that the WHO also announced that masks are not effective for either coronavirus or influenza. Japan is the only country that is lagging behind in wearing masks, and it has become part of the etiquette at work, but it's scary to serve customers without seeing their faces.

GGuest UserDuring my recent stay at Hotel R9 at Yard Tsu, I had a mixed experience, resulting in an overall rating of 3 out of 5. While the hotel was generally acceptable, there were some notable drawbacks. One major issue I encountered was the cleanliness of the rooms. I was disappointed to find a significant number of insects on the walls, which was quite unpleasant and off-putting. As a result, I had to deduct points and give it a rating of 3 out of 5 for cleanliness. Additionally, compared to my previous stay at another Hotel R9 location, the price at Yard Tsu was slightly higher. However, it was still within an acceptable range considering the overall quality of the hotel. Despite the drawbacks, I must mention that the hotel's staff were courteous and attentive, providing decent service throughout my stay. In conclusion, while Hotel R9 at Yard Tsu has some room for improvement in terms of cleanliness, its reasonable price and satisfactory service make it an acceptable choice for a short stay. However, I would recommend management to address the cleanliness issue to ensure a more pleasant experience for guests.

GGuest UserWe were quite happy with the hotel, which was fairly new and service staff were very helpful. While preparing my toast, a staff came back again to offer a tray. The common area was fairly adequate with a lot of seating, access to a microwave, small stove and fridge. As an added bonus, there is aluminium foil and plastic wrap available. Room size was decent, and the design of the layout was good. The hotel seems to be in the middle of nowhere, and it was noticed staff were extra careful to explain with the restaurants nearby.

GGuest UserThe hotel is easily reachable by car, but if you are using the train, it’s 30/40min by walk or you should jump on a bus. Nearby there are konbinis and a supermarket, which is super useful if you want to eat at the hotel and take advantage of the microwave (there are not a lot of restaurants nearby). The hotel is clean and comfortable—if you want, you can also book a private bath room for free, which is great. On top of the usual amenities, you can also find different options for shampoo and conditioner (ex. one for damaged hair, etc..)

GGuest UserThe outdoor unit of the air conditioner was extremely noisy...unfortunately, my stay was not satisfactory. I consulted with the staff, but because the outdoor unit is located next to the bed (by the pillow), the noise from the outdoor unit continues when it's turned on. Also, although my room was on the 8th floor, I could hear people talking in the parking lot. Is this due to the location of the outdoor unit? Perhaps there's a small gap? In other hotels, you shouldn't be able to hear conversations from the parking lot from an 8th-floor room. When I turned off the power because the noise from the outdoor unit was bothersome, the room temperature dropped very quickly... The staff responded quickly and changed my room from the 9th floor to the 8th floor, but unfortunately, both the 9th and 8th floors were plagued by the noise from the outdoor unit and the cold.

GGuest UserYou have to pick up your toothbrush and teabags from near the front desk, which I thought was a good idea to keep costs down. And they even included a free draft beer, so the balance of the service matched my needs.

BBanshangxiaozhuzhuThe location is superb; it's just a short walk from Toba Station, across the street. The hotel is huge, so just find your building. Both dinner and breakfast are buffets, especially the dinner buffet, which is fantastic—you can eat your fill with everything you can find, and the food is quite delicious. Breakfast, however, is a bit less impressive. Check-in is very welcoming; they write the names of guests checking in that day on the hotel entrance.
