Definitely NOT A 5 star hotel quality and service. When we arrived, we were not greeted at the door, we had quite a few luggages but none of the staff even insisted on helping. The rooms felt small, nothing interesting with the interior (to be honest, it felt just like a better version of a business hotel), no bathtub in the rooms just a plastic shower room. Another thing I noticed is due to having only two elevators, I often encountered to full elevators especially during busy hours when people go to the public bath on the 5th floor. We also had to pay 1000 yen per night extra for parking which I find it absurd. The staff were not very attentive and all looked kinda like students. Overall, this hotel should not be ranked 5 stars. I will not go back.

The bathhouse is small, but the water temperature is just right. It's close to the shopping street, and parking is very convenient. The selection of amenities is extensive. While the self-service beverage area has a limited selection, the rest area is quite comfortable.

This hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of major attractions like Hirome Market, Kochi Castle, and Harimaya Bridge, as well as JR Kochi Station. There's also a streetcar stop right in front, which makes getting around very easy.

It's so top..... At the door, a gentleman came over to ask our name, knowing that I came to greet you today; We arranged a Western-style room, where the bathrobe, socks, and rafts were all ready, the bathrobe was super beautiful... At night, I went to the big bathroom and ran the soup and slept comfortably. The breakfast the next day was too exaggerated.....a lot of things, shocked by the ritual of Japanese cuisine, from main dishes to desserts, eat cool. The hotel has its own dinner and supermarket, and the souvenirs sold in the supermarket are also cute! The bus stop is at the entrance of the hotel, super convenient! I will stay here next time.

Comfort Hotel Kochi became our 12th hotel on this journey, and honestly, it was one of the most pleasant surprises so far. We checked in earlier today, and the location immediately scored big points — it is just a comfortable 5-minute walk from Kochi Station, making arrival very easy. The hotel itself feels brand new, and that freshness really shows. The lobby is slightly more spacious than other Comfort Hotels we have stayed at in Japan, which made a great first impression. Check-in was smooth even though it was done via a machine, and there was a friendly staff member nearby who stepped in to help and speed up the process when needed — a small touch, but very much appreciated. We were assigned a room on the highest floor, and to our surprise, this turned out to be the biggest standard double room we have ever stayed in across all Comfort Hotels in other cities. The room felt new, spotless, and thoughtfully laid out. The entrance area was spacious enough to fully open our large luggage without playing Tetris — always a win. The bed was comfortable, and while two pillows were already provided, I was able to get additional ones easily. There was a proper desk and chair, making it comfortable to sit down and work. The TV felt modern as well, with YouTube available, which was a nice bonus after a long day out. Even the bathroom was more spacious than expected, adding to the overall comfort. What made the stay even better was the free breakfast included for both nights of our stay, which always adds great value. On top of that, the streetcar station is also within walking distance, making it very convenient to explore Kochi without any hassle. Overall, Comfort Hotel Kochi exceeded our expectations — modern, comfortable, spacious, and well-located. It was a solid and satisfying stay that made us glad we chose it.

The location was extremely convenient, being within walking distance of the station and close to the downtown area. While some parts of the building and guest rooms show their age, they are meticulously cleaned and comfortable. Many guests praised the wide variety of breakfast options and the taste, and the hotel is highly rated for its cost-performance ratio. On the other hand, some guests noted that the distinction between non-smoking and smoking rooms was unclear, and there were requests for improvements in the front desk service and check-in waiting times.

I have stayed here several times when I go back home. This time I stayed here the day before the Kochi Ryoma Marathon. Normally I don't have much trouble finding a place to stay, but this time it was the day before a big event, so I was lucky to be able to make a reservation. The hotel staff were, as always, very friendly, kind, and pleasant. I often make reservations with my family, so I'm glad they have Western-style rooms for families. This is one hotel I would like to stay at in the future.

The ”Yudono-Suiyokaku” at the Sancuiyuan Hotel is the only natural hot spring in Kochi Castle. Seasonal Tosa cuisine is served for dinner. It was a great stay and good food, and it was another wonderful day in Kochi.

TTraveller CThe hotel is dated but has lots of charm! Yes, the fittings and furniture is old and outdated but everything is working as it should. The room (twin room) was generous in space by Japan standards. Here are some plus points about the hotel: 1) The windows can be opened fully to allow generous amounts of wind in (not the usual small openings). 2) The hotel staff are so generous and kind, they allowed us to check-in early and check-out late without charge! This is also the reason why we will definitely stay here again if we are in Kochi. 3) Hotel is located in the heart of all the bars (there were hoards of salarymen hanging around the area in the night and it gets very lively) 4) It’s a cosy hotel with no frills (so bring your own shampoo and conditioner if you are fussy about it). To manage your expectations, note the following: 1) It’s an old establishment, so don’t expect everything to be sparkling new or matching. No usb outlet charging as well. 2) Due to the location, you might hear lots of street noise if you open the windows at night. All in all, a wonderful little charming hotel, run by people who have the interests of their guests. Highly recommended!

GGuest UserI stayed here while sightseeing along the Shimanto River. The amenities here included lotion, milky lotion, and even makeup remover, which was extremely convenient for female guests. (*^ω^) They also had game consoles available for rent, so I played the Famicom, my childhood obsession, for the first time in decades! (There were several other game consoles to choose from besides the Famicom.) There was a souvenir shop and restaurant right next door, so I had no trouble finding a place to eat or buy souvenirs. ☆ The shower and toilet were separate, and the sofas were spacious. I had a comfortable stay. I was also given some snacks along with my welcome drink. It felt like a great deal.

LLinyuRINGOThe hotel is about a ten to fifteen-minute walk from Nakamura Station. However, its proximity to souvenir shops, restaurants, and convenience stores makes it quite convenient. Just be aware that the nearby restaurant closes at 9 PM. Breakfast is a complimentary buffet for guests. I can only say the Oden was delicious, but everything else was rather subpar. It was fully booked due to Golden Week, so I couldn't switch to a non-smoking room. However, the window could be opened for fresh air and ventilation, and there was also a humidifier in the room, so I was still reasonably satisfied.

GGuest Userthe hotel room is nice , best shower even in Japan. but the sink is too low, good size for the child , too low for an adult the hotel has swimming pool, the pool is belong to the gym , normally require the membership ,but you just need to show the counter that you are staying in the hotel they will let you in. if you dont have the swimming suit, they have the swimming suit to borrow which was nice . they don't really speak English, that was a little tough to communicate. they have laundry machine at 3rd floor to use. the breakfast was acceptable , if you are foreigner, like western food , they have croissant, chocolate bread, salad, bacon. it was a good stay.

GGuest UserCannot ask for more from this hotel. Everything is perfect. We have the best accomodation in here while in Shikoku, where we have stayed in 9 hotels. It was simply the best. The environment is recluse, though it is highly accessible with cars. The star-gazing experience in onsen is once in a lifetime. It was magical to bath under the starry night. The dining experience is exceptional, though it is a little pricey, compare to the dinner we have throught Shikoku. Still, I highly recommend to try the Japanese-style course The Manna provided.
