Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and spacious. Variety of food for brekfast. Location is quite central - Less than 10 mins walk to Delipark Mall and Tjong A Fie Mansion. Theres a bus station nearby too but we use grab most of the time. Pls note that pavements in Indonesia are generally not being maintained - so watch out for holes, metal rods, uneven surface etc. Highly recommended.
I recently stayed at Swiss-Belinn Medan and had a pleasant experience overall. The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Medan, making it easy to access nearby shopping areas, restaurants, and local attractions.
The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with all the basic amenities provided. The bed was cozy, and housekeeping did a good job ensuring everything stayed tidy throughout my stay. The staff were friendly, polite, and always willing to assist with any requests, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
Breakfast was quite good, offering a decent variety of local and international dishes. The dining area was also clean and well-organized.
One area for improvement would be the Wi-Fi connection, which could be a bit unstable at times. Additionally, the room size might feel slightly compact for longer stays, but it is still sufficient for short trips.
Overall, Swiss-Belinn Medan offers good value for money, especially for business or short leisure stays. I would consider staying here again on my next visit to Medan.
We have glued to this hotel for the last 2 or 3 yearsš, everything is good, nothing to complain about. From arrival to check out, all staffs are well trained and functioning well. In this 2026, we have done 2 trips to Medan and stayed here + got the same room as I requested. We are coming back on 20 May and hopefully will get the same room toošš
We love our stay here. The room was spacious, clean and spotless. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was also clean and well maintained. Shower gel and lotion with lightly lavender scented were our favorites.
Breakfast was very delicious with western, asian, and local cuisine.
We also love the service that all the staff provided. Especially the receptionist that helped us had a smooth check in.
Overall we have a great stay here and will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Medan.
I had a very pleasant stay at Aryaduta Medan. The hotel offers a perfect combination of comfort, convenience, and warm hospitality. The room was clean, spacious, and well maintained, providing a relaxing place to rest. Staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist with a smile. The location is excellent, right in the city center, making it easy to access shopping areas and local attractions. Breakfast was enjoyable with a good variety of local and international dishes. Overall, Aryaduta Medan delivers great value and a comfortable stay. I would gladly return again.
After breakfast yesterday, I planned to head straight to the museum from my room and then take the Airport Express train to the airport. But guess what? The door wouldn't open (my card showed a green light, but the door just wouldn't budge). I called the floor attendant, and even her master key couldn't open it. She was quite helpful, immediately calling engineering, but no one answered. I was in a hurry, so I told her to keep calling while I went downstairs to the front desk for help. There were two ladies in hijabs at the front desk. They sent a male staff member up with me, but still, no luck! Then, the engineering guy arrived with a power drill, but that didn't work either. I told them to wait... I was just standing in the hallway, no chairs anywhere. Eventually, I thought, 'This isn't going to work, I need to push them at the front desk where at least there are seats.' So, after about forty minutes of this ordeal, they told me the door was open and to come up. When I got into the room, I saw that the ceiling panel above the door had partially fallen off (was this the reason? I don't know, and I didn't have time to haggle with them). I checked out immediately, rushed to the museum, then to the train station. I made it to the Airport Express with just three minutes to spare! Thanks to the tuk-tuk driver who helped me sprint with my luggage. Looking back, this hotel was terrible. From start to finish, not a single apology! The front desk ladies in hijabs acted like it wasn't their problem, totally unconcerned. While waiting, I was going up and down by myself, and no one from the front desk even bothered to come up to check on the situation; they just sent staff. At the time, I didn't know how long it would take to open the door or if I'd miss my flight, so I tried calling Ctrip, but I could only speak to a robot customer service! Ugh. What an unpleasant experience. The door wouldn't open, and this brand-name chain hotel had no solution! It really messed up my schedule!
The environment is good, located in the heart of Medan, close to shopping malls and not far from the Medan city rail station. Taxis are also convenient. It's worth noting that Medan Airport is quite a distance from the hotel, about a 1-hour taxi ride.
Whenever we choose a serviced apartment in Medan, this property is always our first choice. We have stayed here multiple times and continue to return because of its affordable pricing, convenient location, and consistently clean rooms.
The apartment offers good value for money, especially for travelers or families looking for a comfortable place to stay without spending too much. The location is also practical, making it easy to access nearby shops, restaurants, and main areas in the city.
Overall, our experiences here have been positive, and the cleanliness standards have been reliable during our stays. The only downside we have noticed is that the lift can be quite slow, especially during busy hours, which sometimes requires extra waiting time.
Despite this minor inconvenience, we still consider this serviced apartment a dependable and worthwhile choice whenever we visit Medan.
Conveniently located from the train station (though we used Grab).
Loved the availability of WatsApp with the hotel, they responded promptly.
Despite 1 set of toiletries for 2 guest, seemed a little silly.
The housekeeper are always very kind to provide more when requested.
Excellent masseuse at the Spa on L2.
Breakfast buffet is sumptuous though the 'top up' is slow after 9am.
Centre point Centre shopping mall is just right behind the hotel.. with variety of f&b, shops & korean supermarket.

AAnonymous UserVery nice hotel. Rooftop pool with superb view of the Medan City. In a nice area with plenty of popular restaurants in walking distance. Breakfast have a good variety of local dishes to try. Just the waiting time for checkin and checkout is a little bit long. But undoubtedly will stay here again.

EElmutI stayed here with my family during our holiday in Medan. Although the hotel is a bit old, it has its own charm. The breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety of options. Traveling with a young child, we especially appreciated the nice swimming pool, which made our stay very enjoyable.
ZZetyZalefaWe are happy!!!!! The staff so kind and soft spoken.. we love the view⦠Masha Allah.. so beautifull.. event we stay at standard room, we also can get the beatiful view of Danau Toba.. the breakfast was delicious.. this is the first time im going to Indonesia and i can eat all the food.. excellent.. i also like the tour package for freeā¦keep it up..next time if i going to danau toba again, i will stay at waterfall inside Taman Simalem Resort..in Shaa Allah
GGuest UserWe stayed here this time for 3 nights. We had stayed here a couple of times before. The hotel maintains its hospitality, warmness and courtious reception of customers. It was quite easy to check in and out. The staff from front desk to housekeeping were friendlyand warm. There are little things that should be paid attention to such as the menu for breakfast.. Although the spread is good but there should be some variation/changes. Overall staying here you get value for your money.
AAnonymous UserA dated, but generally nice hotel.
Unfortunately, the cleanliness leaves something to be desired, and details and amenities are lacking.
However, the accommodation, with its beautiful view, is perfect for Instagram posts.
The location is quiet and quite remote.
The service is very friendly and attentive, although communication in English was a bit sluggish at times.
Overall, a good stay, but the price is too high.
TTrip.com local guidesThe service from the staff was very decent. But the room was severely lacking. The bed was sunken in ā¦. There was an odor in the hallway. The air conditioning made a lot of noise. Non smoking rooms are indeed available but many guests flout the rules and if youāre unlucky like I was assigned a room next to a very heavy smoker the smoke from his room was entering mine through the gaps in the partition door.
AAnonymous UserI recently stayed at Grand Sakura Hotel in Medan, and overall, it was a decent experienceāespecially for the price.
The hotel is located in a pretty strategic area, making it easy to get around the city and access nearby attractions, shopping spots, and transportation. Many guests also highlight the convenience of its location and accessibility.
The room was spacious and fairly comfortable, with basic amenities like air conditioning, TV, and WiFi. Cleanliness was generally acceptable, although some areas could use better maintenance and attention to detail.
One of the positives is the staffāthey were mostly friendly and helpful during the stay, which made the experience more pleasant. The breakfast offered a decent variety of food, though sometimes items were not refilled quickly during busy periods.
However, there are a few downsides. Some guests have reported issues like noise (especially from air conditioning units), occasional maintenance problems, and inconsistent service at the front desk. The facilities are also quite basic, so donāt expect anything luxurious.
Overall, Grand Sakura Hotel is a good budget-friendly option if youāre looking for a simple and convenient place to stay in Medan. Itās best suited for short stays or travelers who prioritize location and value over luxury.
ŠŠŠ²Š³ŠµŠ½ŠøŠ¹Room with a window, with normal Wi-Fi. There is a large work desk, a large bed. The only thing missing is a refrigerator. This is one of the best hotels in the city, so we can safely recommend it for check-in.
Hearty breakfasts, a restaurant downstairs where you can eat throughout the day for not the highest prices. Good location next to a large shopping center, supermarket and night food outlets.
