The hotel also provides a high-speed train station shuttle service, though reservations are required. Overall, this hotel is fantastic! I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Linfen!

The independent courtyard is located right within the ancient city. The owner has excellent taste, and the decor style is very design-oriented. You can drive directly into the underground parking right at the guesthouse entrance, which is very convenient. The facilities are very new, and the design is unique. All the toiletries and consumables are from good brands, feeling very high-quality. The common areas are also really nice, perfect for tea and conversation. The cleanliness is excellent; everything is checked very thoroughly each time. The service from the owner is superb – very friendly and warm. They were attentive to all our needs, offering pick-up and drop-off service, and were always ready to help. Overall, it's a fantastic choice within the ancient city. I made a last-minute booking the same day and managed to snag a room. Even though it was the smallest room type, I was quite satisfied with my stay. I'll definitely come back next time.

First time in Yuncheng, and Novotel pleasantly surprised us! The front desk, restaurant, and room service were all excellent. Check-in was super quick. We booked two rooms, and they kindly arranged for them to be next to each other. They even gave us lots of snacks and fruit. It was Labor Day, so the hotel was really busy, but they opened an extra restaurant for breakfast during peak hours, which was great. The service there was just as good, showing their excellent contingency planning for busy times. Our rooms were cleaned promptly every day, and they replenished the 6 bottles of mineral water without fail. A very satisfying trip overall!

Choosing the Fairfield by Marriott for my trip to Taiyuan, especially with the high-speed rail, was absolutely the right decision! The location is incredibly convenient. It's just a few minutes' walk to Taiyuan South Station, and a short taxi ride to the airport, which is perfect for early morning or late-night itineraries. Public transport (buses and subway) is readily available, and MixC shopping mall is nearby, making shopping and dining super easy. The room was spacious and bright, with new and fully equipped facilities. The bedding was exceptionally comfortable, and the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, making for a very comfortable stay. I was lucky enough to get a room upgrade this time, which definitely elevated the experience. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, with both Western and Chinese dishes, and the taste was great. The long serving hours meant I didn't have to worry about missing breakfast even if I woke up late. The front desk was very efficient with check-in and check-out, and they were quick to respond to any requests. I'll definitely prioritize staying here next time I'm in Taiyuan!

A rather mediocre experience. I've been a Ctrip member for 15 years and rarely leave bad reviews, so I'll give this a passing grade of 3.0. The main reasons for the average experience were: 1. My baby had a fever in the middle of the night and couldn't get up the next day. I wanted to take some breakfast back to the room, but they wouldn't allow it, and the staff's attitude was quite stiff. At over 1700 RMB for two nights for three adults and one child, the price wasn't cheap. Since the hotel couldn't be understanding towards me, I can't be understanding towards them in my rating. 2. There must be floor heating or central air conditioning, because the room was extremely dry, even drier than indoors in Beijing during the heating season.

Staying at Ji Xia Shan for four days and three nights in Datong was an absolute delight, a truly pleasant surprise! It was my first experience with the Ji Xia Shan brand, and I'm already looking forward to visiting Meili! We stayed in the Dieyin Courtyard room, which had a small private courtyard. Each tree in the room and throughout the hotel had a tag identifying its species – such a cute little detail. The room's snacks and fruits were refreshed daily, and the nightly sweet soups were never repeated. The first night was bird's nest soup, the second was corn soup, and the third was brown sugar peach gum. Breakfast was a semi-buffet, with small portions allowing us to sample many dishes, which was great for avoiding waste. For our anniversary, the hotel specially decorated our room and even gifted us a delicious, freshly made cake. We felt a bit bad that we couldn't finish it all and caused some waste. The hotel's overall design creates a comfortable and cozy atmosphere, bringing a sense of peace and tranquility. It feels full of positive energy, with its water features and swaying tree shadows exuding vitality and spirit. The staff are all young, well-groomed, and professional ladies and gentlemen. They are warm, generous, and their service is natural and friendly, which was very endearing. Stepping out of the hotel, the view is expansive, directly facing the eastern city wall. Downstairs are Dongnanyi and the hotel's own Yungang Art Museum. During our trip, we caught the 'Pine Under the Mountain' exhibition and learned that the brand's founder is actually from Shanxi. Datong itself is a fantastic city. Besides its numerous ancient buildings that are a feast for the eyes, it has a rich, comfortable, and natural local atmosphere. 😌

This hotel is located in the heart of Taiyuan city, making it very convenient to walk to the Bell and Drum Towers, Food Street, and Liuxiang South Road Commercial Street. Check-in was super quick, and the front desk staff even proactively upgraded me to a lake-view king room. The bellhop was very polite, offering to carry my luggage and escort me to my room. Inside the room, I found a thoughtful note from the housekeeper, who also provided fruit and a late-night snack. The room layout was well-designed, and all towels and bath towels were sealed in paper bags, clearly marked 'sanitized.' I had a very quiet night's sleep; the soundproofing was excellent. The breakfast buffet was quite rich, and I personally found it very much to my taste. The hotel's dining options are also great; I enjoyed the串串 (Chuan Chuan) mini hotpot on the outdoor terrace, which was fantastic. This is a high-quality hotel that I'd definitely recommend and would love to revisit!

This is by far the best value five-star hotel in Taiyuan. The management is well-organized, and the hygiene is consistently excellent, making you feel right at home. Both the facilities and services are well-maintained. The surrounding area offers a complete range of commercial amenities and convenient transportation, with a subway entrance right next to the hotel. Tianmei and Beimei New World shopping centers are just next door. Overall, it's great value for money. The only minor drawback is that it's an older hotel and could use a full renovation. Given that Shanxi is a strong tourist province, a refurbishment would certainly justify a price increase.
