St. Michael and St. Gudula Cathedral
The Cathedral of St. Michael and St. Gudula is a medieval Roman Catholic church in central Brussels, Belgium. It is dedicated to St. Michael and St. Gudula, the patron saints of the City of Brussels, and is considered to be one of the finest examples of Brabantine Gothic architecture. The church's construction began in the 11th century and was largely complete by the 16th, though its interior was frequently modified in the following centuries. The church was given cathedral status in 1962 and has since been the co-cathedral of the Archdiocese of Mechelen-Brussels, together with St. Rumbold's Cathedral in Mechelen. Since the mid-20th century, following the construction of the North–South connection, it is situated on the Parvis Sainte-Gudule/Sinter-Goedelevoorplein, east of the Boulevard de l'Impératrice/Keizerinlaan. This area is served by Brussels Central Station.

Cathedral of St. Michael and St. Gudula
The city of Brussels, although the capital of Belgium, is nearly a thousand years older than the country itself. This Cathedral of St. Michael and St. Gudula was built as early as 1047, and at that time it should have been dedicated to St. Michael (who is the archangel), and later it was upgraded to a two-saints cathedral after receiving the relics of St. Gudula (who was a devout female believer and was called a saint because of her lifelong service to the Lord).
The front of the church resembles the Notre-Dame de Paris (unfortunately, it suffered a big fire and was under repair when I visited), and the self-guided tour inside has Chinese explanations, introducing the design and the twelve apostles of the church. The stained glass windows of the church are full of stories, but unfortunately I don't know the specifics.

St Michael and St Gudula Cathedral
The Cathedral of St. Michael and St. Gudula is a beautiful medieval Roman Catholic cathedral worth visiting. It is dedicated to the patron saints of the City of Brussels – St. Michael and St. Gudula. It is considered to be one of the finest examples of Brabantine Gothic architecture.
Another place worth visiting is the National Basilica of the Sacred Heart
The National Basilica of the Sacred Heart is a Roman Catholic basilica and parish church, inspired by the Basilique du Sacré-Coeur in Paris. At almost 90 metres above ground, it dominates Brussels’ north-western skyline with its two towers and a green copper dome. It offers a great view of Brussels once you reach the top of the hill and the interior of the basilica is very impressive as well.
