I see trees of green ♪
Beautiful alpine village nestled in the mountains with an amazing view of the Jungfrau valley and Lauterbrunnen down below. Taking the train up to Wengen will guarantee you a lovely view of Lauterbrunnen.
The village has shops, attractions and amenities within walking distance. Though, if you do decide to get a resort/hotel further up, be sure to ask for shuttle cars, the upwards slopes are no joke.
Our hotel had a lovely view of the cable car rides up to Männlichen, the street below and at night- if you’re willing to stand in the 14 degrees cold (even in summer) you can get a good picture of the night sky!
Of course, we couldn’t stay in Wengen without visiting Männlichen and her famous Royal Walk- a short hike of 1.7km, with elevations up to 80-120m up/down, grants you a truly breathtaking panoramic view. ((the gravel paths can be a bit slippery so be careful on the way down))
The trail from Männlichen to Kleine Scheidegg was an overall downhill walk with a view of Grindelwald down below and the snow capped mountains. But before you embark on this trail be sure to either get something to eat or drink (and the WC of course) at Männlichen as it is quite a long walk (about 4.7km). Near the midpoint you can see Eiger! A truly memorable walk with amazing scenery of the town below and mountains all around us.
Truly a scenic paradise with plenty of activities to do, whether you prefer to simply enjoy the views or try out some of their more thrilling activities. It was my first time visiting Switzerland but certainly won’t be the last!#switzerland #summervacation #nature #alps

Jungfrau | Top of Europe !!!! 🇨🇭
How to get there: There are 2 ways to go up Jungfrau: 1) By the Cable Car (Eiger Express) or 2) By train. We went up by the eiger express (from Grindelswald, interchanging at Terminal), and we came down by train.
Before we went up, we contemplated of joining a tour but given we have done a fair share of research, I ended up going by ourselves.
There are several viewing sites, which ofc include Jungfrau itself, ice palace, exhibition of history of the site construction of Jungfrau, and Lindlt chocolate museum.
It was negative 18 degree celsius on Jungfrau!!! So for those who cannot handle the cold, don’t visit during the winter 😂😂😂
Despite the weather condition was not ideal (no blue sky😣) but i guess it is as expected because we went during the winter ❄️)
Pro tip: I would recommend purchasing the swiss pass as you get discount for the jungfrau ticket and free transport within Switzerland!!

Grindelwald: A crime if you miss it!
Get here by train! We came via Basel and just enjoyed the scenic views from the huge train windows. Lake, villages, mountains, you won’t want to close your eyes!
Coming here in early autumn, we escaped the crowds and could explore First, Eiger, and Jungfraujoch with ease and little wait time. The mountains are magnificent all thru the year! The colours of the landscape will change and hiking to the Balchapsee is an experience in itself. Discovering WCs in the middle of nowhere, up
in the mountains, complete with toilet tissue is something only the Swiss can guarantee!
There are many hotels in this little village and all are within walking distance of the train station. We stayed at the Eiger Aparthotel as we wanted to prepare our own meals to save cost. Bookings come with daily afternoon tea and the variety of cakes, teas and coffees were an absolute treat!
There are many cafes around for fondue and all sorts of local delights. We opted to explore the two supermarkets for raw ingredients and cooked up our own dinners at a fraction of the cost of eating out. Do check out the different yogurt flavours, types of cheese, and cured meats too!
As it is a tourist destination, you can get souvenirs and major brands here. There is a post office (to send postcards) and some banks if you need forex.
My #2023travelwish is to drop by this beautiful place again in the SUMMER and take in the wonders of creation ❤️

Interlaken, charming village in Switzerland!
#2023travelwish
My most unforgettable vacation destination was Interlaken; a charming village beneath of Jungfrau, Switzerland. Surrounded by mountains and nature beauty, sits between the emerald-coloured waters of Lake Thun and Lake Brienz, it has old timber houses and parkland on either side of the Aare River, truly a beatiful and picturesque holiday destination.
Interlaken is also a hotspot for paragliding, hiking and sightseers alike, and the gateway to exploring the Jungfrau region.
My 2023 dream destination would be Kyoto, Japan for stunning Autumn leaves.🍁
Jungfraujoch at its finest!
Interlaken and the Jungfraujoch is just too beautiful! Snow cap mountains and gorgeous lake views will just blow your mind. We were blessed with good weather. Will visit Switzerland again in the near future! Also the Swiss half fare card was a great buy! #switzerland #vacation #interlaken #jungfrau

Breathtaking beauty of Interlaken and Lauterbrunnen
#hiddengems
Immerse yourself in the breathtaking beauty of Interlaken and Lauterbrunnen, two picturesque destinations nestled in the heart of Switzerland's stunning Alpine region. As a lover of natural landscapes and outdoor adventures, I recently had the pleasure of exploring these charming Swiss towns and discovering the endless wonders they have to offer.
Interlaken, with its stunning location between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz, is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts and adventure seekers. From paragliding high above the Swiss Alps to taking a leisurely cruise on the crystal-clear waters of the lakes, there's no shortage of thrilling activities to enjoy. The town itself is also a delight to explore, with its charming streets lined with quaint shops, cafes, and restaurants offering delicious Swiss cuisine and stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
Just a short drive or train ride away lies Lauterbrunnen, a tranquil village nestled in a deep valley surrounded by towering cliffs and cascading waterfalls. Known as the "Valley of Waterfalls," Lauterbrunnen is a hiker's paradise, with countless trails winding through lush meadows and dense forests, offering breathtaking views of iconic landmarks such as the Staubbach Falls and the imposing Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau peaks.
Nearby, the picturesque village of Grindelwald beckons with its charming chalets, flower-filled meadows, and panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. Whether you're hiking, skiing, or simply soaking in the natural beauty, Grindelwald offers a true Swiss mountain experience that will leave you awe-inspired.
As I explored Interlaken, Lauterbrunnen, and Grindelwald, I couldn't help but be captivated by the sheer beauty and tranquility of Switzerland's Alpine landscape. From the majestic peaks to the charming villages, every moment spent in this stunning region felt like a dream come true.

Jungfrau region - A magical place
The Jungfrau region is a must-go when you head to Switzerland. Key spots include the cute cottages at Grindelwald, and the top of Europe. The Swiss Alps is a magnificent sight itself and completing the whole experience would include immersing yourself in the snow! Make sure you are not underdressed, glove up if needed so that you can enjoy the scenery without bothering about survival. #Switerland #Jungfrau
The Swiss town of Interlaken
Interlaken, a small town located at the foot of the Jungfrau in the Swiss Alps, is definitely a place that will make you linger and forget to return. With its picturesque lakes and mountains, and fresh air, the town's scenery is stunningly beautiful.
During a business trip to Switzerland, I visited the famous sights with a few colleagues over the weekend, and Interlaken and the Jungfrau were our first stops.
It is a paradise for outdoor sports enthusiasts: the town is sunny and bright, and in summer, you can wear short sleeves and sit on the lawn to watch the towering snow-capped mountains in front of you, a striking contrast. Whether you want to go hiking, cycling, skiing, or trekking, Interlaken is the perfect place.
Friends coming to Europe, you must see Switzerland, and those who come to Switzerland, Interlaken and the Jungfrau are must-visit destinations!

Take some time off to be lazy and take a trip to Switzerland
Upon arriving in Switzerland, I found that there are really Koreans everywhere, too many. If you want to experience the scenery quietly, you can choose to stay in Interlaken, which is surrounded by green lakes and mountains, and you can also take the mountain train to Jungfrau at any time. Let me share some photos for everyone to enjoy.
Visiting Jungfraujoch is like stepping into a snow-capped paradise. The train journey itself, winding through picturesque landscapes, is an experience worth savoring. Once you arrive, take your time to soak in the breathtaking views from the Sphinx Observatory and explore the Ice Palace
Above heaven, there is another layer, which is Switzerland
Switzerland's beauty truly cannot be summarized by photos, with its snow-capped mountains, European architecture, meadows, and lakes, it is just too beautiful.
The places in the photos include
Jungfrau, the Top of Europe train station, Interlaken-West, and Hoheweg Street.
The best places to go in Switzerland! Personal sincere sharing
🇨🇭 The best places to go in Switzerland! Personal favorite rambling sincere sharing version 😄✈️
I was very idle during the New Year, looking at the photos of my trip to Switzerland last year 📸 Although it's not my favorite tourist country, it can also rank in the top five haha 😆 The scenery is beautiful, but it's really expensive 💸 Nature is actually similar wherever you look, but it's very relaxing 😌 And the fewer people, the better, and it's safe, so it's not as tense as other European countries 😊
Interlaken is a must-visit route 🏔️ A green field is really pleasing to the eye 👀 I have been looking for what a dreamy slope is, but isn't it dreamy to take a casual shot on the mountain haha 😍 Switzerland really doesn't need a filter! I went at the end of May, the weather was average those days, but there was still a season of green grass and snow mountains 🌿❄️
Then First Mountain and Jungfrau are also worth going to ✨ I think First Mountain is very cost-effective, the scenery is beautiful, and those amusement projects are also fun 🚠 I played that rope that slides down from the top (I forgot what it's called) a little bit exciting and you can see the scenery 😃 But there are really a lot of people, taking pictures or playing projects have to queue for one or two hours, so if you go to play, you should reserve more time ⌛️ And remember to bring sunglasses! Otherwise, your eyes will be a bit snow-blind 😎 There is actually nothing to play on Jungfrau, but it was very good that I could go out and punch in during the blizzard at that time ❄️ Otherwise, the money really drifted away 💸 If you want to punch in at the highest peak in Europe, you can go, anyway, you are here haha 🗻
I think Lake Brienz is also beautiful, really green lake water 💦 And remember to take a boat, it's beautiful 🚢 Anyway, Swiss Pass is free 😊
I personally like Rigi Mountain very much, it's beautiful and there are not many people 😍🏔️ And it's free, everyone (poor travel gospel) but also pay attention to the time, because the cable car is not very frequent ⏰ And it takes a bit long to go up the mountain, so if the itinerary is not very tight, you can go 😌
Finally, I added a chocolate factory haha 🍫 I just really like to eat, it's quite fun and not very expensive 💰
I will share other expired European travel records when I have time haha 😄✈️
Swiss small poor travel! Money-saving strategy!
1
Who says Switzerland is not fun in winter!! It's too beautiful! There are snow mountains and greenery
This time I spent about 7k RMB in total (see the last picture)
Play: Use Interlaken as a transit station, and return to a place every day. The advantage of this is that it is very flexible. Everyone knows that Swiss weather depends on luck. In this way, you only need to decide where to go according to the weather of the day
Transportation
The plane was bought more than a month in advance. Zurich to go, Geneva to return
Local transportation decisively swiss pass, very fragrant, tired can take the bus at any time, golden train to see where good can get off directly
Hotel
Living in the small town of Wilderswil, which is only 6 minutes away from Interlaken train, you can also take the bus from Interlaken ost. There is not much to eat in the town, usually buy in Interlaken. But the town has no light pollution and is very quiet, the stars are super good at night! The hotel faces the Jungfrau, and the snow mountain is just outside the window when the weather is good
Exchange money
Just find a UBS and settle in francs is the real-time exchange rate. One of my great pleasures in Switzerland is to compare the exchange rates in various places, really only UBS has no handling fee
Play
1 Day 1: Play in Zurich, stay in Interlaken on the same day. Zurich train station can store bags, there are many notes can be flipped. It was New Year's Eve that day, and the town's fireworks were quite good
2 Day 2: Interlaken round trip Zermatt (Matterhorn). The weather is super good, but my friends and I have high anti. The winter reflection there is frozen and covered by snow, and it is very dangerous to go there without professional shoes, I suggest everyone to consider life safety
3 Day 3: Interlaken - Golden Train Lucerne - Rigi. Rigi is really beautiful, although it is cloudy, it may be my favorite mountain, if conditions permit, take a cruise is great!4 Day 4: Interlaken round trip Grindelwald (First Mountain and Dream Slope), stay in Geneva at night. The paragliding and projects were cancelled due to the strong wind that day, but the scenery is really good. Remember to check the last cable car down the mountain time
The Roof of Europe | Jungfrau
⛰【Travel Guide】
🚗Transportation Guide:
To get to Jungfrau, you need to change trains twice, and there are two routes to choose from for going up and down the mountain.
1、Interlaken→Zweilutschinen→Lauterbrunnen(change train)→Kleine Scheidegg(change train)→jungfraujoch.
2、Interlaken→Zweilutschinen→Grindelwald(change train)→Kleine Scheidegg(change train)→jungfraujoch
Both routes will reach Kleine Scheidegg, which is the starting point of the Jungfrau railway.
🌟Highlights: When the weather is good, you can see the entire glacier, and you can even hear the sound of the glacier cracking.
📌Small Tips:
1. The altitude is 3454 meters, you may feel a bit of altitude sickness, I had a slight headache
2. Dress warmly!! I mixed up the temperatures of Jungfrau and Matterhorn, I wore a down jacket to Matterhorn and got a heatstroke, and I was freezing at Jungfrau because I was underdressed, so I ended up wearing all the clothes I brought
3. Pay attention to safety, there are no fences on both sides of Jungfrau, only ropes are used to encircle it, and some places don't even have ropes, the snow is also very slippery, try to walk in the middle, otherwise, there are glaciers on both sides, as shown in picture 7

Journey along the Rhine (VII) - 'Top of Europe' Jungfrau
Jungfrau is a famous mountain located in the Bernese Highlands, the Alps, Switzerland, with an altitude of 4,158 meters. This beautiful mountain separates the canton of Bern and Valais and is part of the Bernese Alps.
As one of the classic tourist spots in Italy and Switzerland, Jungfrau has always attracted tourists from all directions with its snow and mountains, sunshine and floating clouds. The natural ski resort here has also become a skiing paradise for snow lovers around the world.
When we arrived at Jungfrau, it had just snowed heavily, which undoubtedly added a great surprise to our mountain climbing!
I remember when I came to Jungfrau 10 years ago, I took a train up the mountain. Later, the local tourism department built a sightseeing cable car in Grindelwald. Tourists can take a modern overhead cable car and then change to an old train to reach the magnificent mountain view of Kleine Scheidegg, which can save a lot of time.
After coming down from the mountain, I went around the town of Interlaken.
I have been to this town before, and I have always missed it in my heart, and I always want to go around again, this time I got what I wished.

Highest rail station in Europe
Beautiful snow capped mountain. Beautiful journey to the highest rail station in Europe - Top of Europe.
Jungfrau : Peak of Europe
This is my first time to Jungfrau, it is a very good memory. First, I'll move up to the top of the Jungfrau using tricable. On the way I could see the whole panorama of Grindelwald, this is really a very beautiful village. Going a little higher is the majesty of the white snowy mountains. I must say the tricable ride is very convenient and helps me see the scenery clearly from above. After reaching the top, the view is amazing with the white peak, the views from the top are very beautiful and the atmosphere is great. I will definitely come back here in the near future.

Switzerland 🇨🇭 is not actually the first choice for most Chinese tourists visiting Europe, but it is definitely the eternal holy grail in the hearts of everyone who has been there, a place that they secretly long to revisit two, three, four, or even five times.

Day 2️⃣: Interlaken
Interlaken is located between the "Eye of God" Lake Thun and Lake Brienz. The distant Jungfrau, Schilthorn, and Mönch peaks stand silently, watching over each other for countless years.
To visit the Jungfrau Peak, the best way is to take the mountain train. The train usually departs from Interlaken and there are two routes to choose from. One is Interlaken-Grindelwald-Kleine Scheidegg-Jungfrau, and the other is Interlaken-Lauterbrunnen-Wengen-Kleine Scheidegg-Jungfrau.

Switzerland also has amazing mineral hot springs, which are an experience not to be missed. The small town of Leukerbad, located at an altitude of over 1400 meters, has a total of 22 outdoor and indoor hot spring pools, some of which are already at an altitude of around 2,000 meters.
Day 8️⃣: Zurich
On the last day, take a walk in the city center of Zurich, visit the Swiss museums and stroll along the world's most expensive street - Bahnhofstrasse in Zurich.
