Guest User: The staff was friendly and professional, always greeting hotel guest whenever walking around. The lobby is located at the 7th floor, but direction is clear and easily spot, just right beside Four Points Sheraton. Check in on Christmas eve and the reception gift us an apple gift. Breakfast is good, plenty choices. Room keeping service is great too, clean towel provided everyday, and the bed do tidy up (which some hotel they don’t). The location is superb, right in the busiest street, accessible to shopping mall and Kunming old street.

Ticket Price: One way about 59-60 RMB, round trip about 98-100 RMB. Advantages: Easy for lazy people to climb West Mountain, no climbing required, unique views; seagulls in winter. Disadvantages: Stops during strong winds/thunderstorms; long queues during peak season; separate ticket/walking required for Longmen after climbing the mountain; don't confuse with the "Xishan Longmen Cableway". 兰虹It was more fun than I expected! There weren't many people, and it was much quieter than those commercialized old towns. Although they gathered all sorts of ethnic architectural features together, making it seem like a tourist trap, the performers were incredibly dedicated. I think it's perfect for seniors because the whole trip isn't tiring, and you can learn about many different cultures in one place. I thought it was wonderful, and the performances were really good!

I was lucky to go in mid-to-late October, and the first flocks of seagulls had already arrived. Apparently, they arrived half a month earlier than usual. I had to catch the high-speed train to Dali this afternoon, otherwise I could have spent more time exploring. While taking the bus and sightseeing vehicle up the mountain, there were also many hiking routes. Seeing many signs and steps, it seems there are many other things to explore and experience besides Longmen. There was a senior citizen tour group from Guangdong, and their guide was saying, "Climbing Longmen will increase your worth a hundredfold!" Well, that strengthened my resolve to climb it! It definitely lived up to expectations. Although the climb wasn't long or too tiring, some steps were very steep, with angles of over 60 degrees. And the various caves and temples gave one the feeling that there were immortals and hermits hidden in the mountains—very mysterious and awe-inspiring. There weren't many people there early in the morning. It wasn't until I took the cable car down that I noticed a few people boarding, and very few people were going down. Finally, I hope this trip will really double my wealth! Everything goes smoothly, haha!
