#InterContinental Phuket Resort Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
InterContinental Phuket Resort - Such a comfortable and stunning environment, how could it be complete without a SPA
Thailand is truly a place where no matter how many times you visit, there's always something surprising to discover, whether you're an island lover or a sightseeing enthusiast, you can always find a theme destination that suits you! The summer in Phuket never ends - in the hot summer, it always feels like seaside or island travel is the real deal. Speaking of Thailand's islands - Phuket is definitely the top choice for many. From north to south, Phuket is dotted with distinctive beaches, whether it's Patong Beach, Kamala Beach, Karon Beach, or Kata Beach - you can name a few offhand, whether it's your first visit or you're an expert who has traveled all over Phuket, you can always find a beach that's perfect to stay at.
For the second stop of our Phuket vacation with my parents, we chose the InterContinental Phuket Resort located on Kamala Beach, nestled in the protected bay at the northern part of Kamala Beach, known as the 'millionaire's row', facing the Andaman Sea. The hotel's design is inspired by the surrounding natural environment, creating a peaceful haven away from the hustle and bustle! Entering the lobby, with pure white as the main tone, symmetrical space, towering white marble columns, what comes into view is a vast open space.
We stayed in a two-bedroom Executive Club Villa, which blends Thai traditional aesthetics with modern design styles, with one bedroom upstairs and one downstairs - each with its own bathroom and toilet - the pool and courtyard are also very spacious, making the vacation so comfortable! The resort also has a very comprehensive range of recreational facilities, including six scenic swimming pools and the SATI SPA located beneath the iconic main building. Coming to Phuket for a vacation - staying at the InterContinental in such a comfortable and stunning environment, how could you miss out on a SPA session, or a rose petal bath!

There are many guests, few Chinese, and few people promoting this hotel. The overall experience is good. Located on Kamala Beach, if you drive by yourself, the journey to Patong Beach is between 20-30min, which is quite convenient.
I booked a 2000+ pool view room, the balcony can see the hotel's iconic building white tower, you can see the swimming pool downstairs, but the room is still a bit damp, the details of the decoration do not have a sense of luxury.
The public area is beautiful, there are four swimming pools, an infinity pool, a seaside pool, two garden pools, very large and very cool to swim.
The hotel has its own private beach, it is indeed a great place to watch the sunset. Walking along the beach, there is a string of commercial areas mainly for dining, and a little further away is a Kamala night market, which feels very local, and the fruit is super cheap.

Intercontinental Phuket Resort is a luxurious seaside accommodation 🌴🏖️.
Hello everyone! Today, let's take a look at the new resort in Phuket, which just opened not too long ago and is definitely a must-visit. It's called the InterContinental Phuket Resort and it's located on the beautiful Kamala Beach in Phuket. Apart from the impressive features of the resort, there are many interesting areas to choose from when deciding where to stay.
The InterContinental Phuket Resort was designed with inspiration from the first Thai literature, called "Trai Phum Phra Ruang," which describes the beliefs of Thai people since the Sukhothai era. While the inspiration comes from Buddhist literature, the design incorporates modern amenities, comfort, and services that are more interesting and appealing. It has become a popular resort among both foreigners and Thai people.
The resort is divided into three areas. The first area, called the "Heavenly Zone," is the signature area of the resort where we stayed this time. It stands out with its white "Salawas" (pavilions) and a mountainous backdrop. The top of the Salawa serves as a meeting room while the "Stasis Spa" is located below. This zone is divided into two sides of the Salawa, with two swimming pools, and the rooms that we stayed in were called the "Club IC Lagoon Villa." They were very spacious with comfortable beds and a bathtub in the bathroom. The outside area of the room was equipped with a famous brand HARNN toiletry set, a Jacuzzi, and a daybed next to the pool for relaxing.
#Human City Zone is the area located above the lobby. The rooms in this building have a focus on the view. We recommend staying in this zone since the landscape of the resort can be seen most clearly from here. There is also an Infinity Pool located on top of the building for those who love a good view. This zone also has a restaurant located on the lower level called Pintohto Restaurant. It serves breakfast, and in the evening, part of the restaurant transforms into Tengoku Japanese Restaurant, serving "Omakase" style cuisine (open from Thursday to Monday, from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm). I must say that the food here is really delicious. The staff is excellent in recommending dishes and helping choose dishes that we like. I would rate this as the best restaurant in Phuket that we have ever been to. Besides, for those who love sweets, this zone has a luxurious café called Devas's Lounge, where you can order an Afternoon Tea Set. The desserts here are not too sweet but very tasty, and I recommend enjoying them with a variety of "tea" that is available for selection.
#Earthly City Zone is the area adjacent to the sea. The uniqueness of this zone is that we have to go through a tunnel decorated with street art related to Phuket's highlights, as if we are traveling through time and coming to this zone. Therefore, the rooms in this zone emphasize SEA VIEW. The pool on the beachfront is surrounded by a beautiful row of palm trees and provides an ideal spot for foreign tourists. Pine Restaurant is located next to the pool, and we can have lunch here. We recommend ordering the Pizza of the Day, which changes daily (e.g., Truffle Pizza today) and ordering drinks to cool off during the afternoon by the sea. On Sundays, the restaurant serves a Sunday Brunch that comes with a Free Flow promotion, which we guarantee will satisfy food and drink lovers.
#The Highlight of the InterContinental Phuket Resort that we recommend not to miss is Jaras Restaurant located in the Earthly City Zone. This is a luxurious restaurant with a price tag, offering both A La Carte Menu and 9-Course Dinner with beverage pairing (details can be found in the next post).
For us, the InterContinental Phuket Resort is considered complete in terms of design, comfort, service, and food. It is also a very photogenic resort.

Just got back from Phuket Island~ Sharing my experience! You must stay at these three amazing luxury resorts!
Thailand is truly a place where no matter how many times you visit, there will always be surprises to discover, whether you're an island lover or a sightseeing enthusiast, you can always find a suitable themed destination here! The summer in Phuket never stops~ In the hot summer, it always feels like a seaside or island trip is the real deal. Speaking of Thailand's islands~ Phuket is definitely the first choice for many people. From north to south, Phuket is dotted with beaches each with its own characteristics, whether it's Patong Beach, Kamala Beach, Karon Beach, or Kata Beach~ you can name a few at will, whether it's your first visit or you're an expert who has traveled all over Phuket, you can always find a beach to stay on. Today, I'm going to share three stunning luxury hotels, a must-visit for hotel enthusiasts traveling to Phuket!
👍Highly recommended:
The Rosewood Phuket perfectly combines design, service, and facilities with the local history, architecture, culture, and other unique flavors of Phuket~ presenting a different connotation of Phuket. Rosewood Phuket is located on one of the few secluded beaches on the island, with the brand's characteristic of exploring legendary hotels on a regional journey~ now in the southwest of Phuket, extending 600 meters of Emerald Bay with the theme of 'Andaman Sea Exploration Journey', creating this dreamy realm! The hotel lobby is facing the sea~ the architecture exists in as minimal a way as possible, allowing the natural scenery to penetrate from the outside to the inside, blending very well! The recreational facilities at Rosewood Phuket are equally exciting~ with a spa massage pool using filtered natural water, a gym, a yoga room, water sports... everything you want to play is here! Bicycles are placed all over the hotel, you can also ride and freely travel in the hotel or swim in the infinity pool~ every view here is too beautiful~ I really want to live here forever and never leave!
👍Highly recommended:
The Banyan Tree Phuket Phuket has many famous beaches, and Bang Tao Beach, located in the central part of the west coast, is small and quiet. Banyan Tree Phuket is located in the most beautiful part of it, exuding unparalleled charm~ The hotel is surrounded by lush tropical gardens and cascading water features, with exquisitely carved villas scattered among the sparkling greenery, which is so comfortable! Very suitable for a secluded vacation. The villas at Banyan Tree Phuket have a large private area, the natural wood-colored space is integrated with the simplicity of modern design, and the very complete furniture makes the room feel comfortable and warm overall~ Outside the villa, there is also a matching private courtyard, the pool reflects the high and wide blue sky, the combination of flowers, green plants, and umbrellas creates the unique enthusiasm of Southeast Asia~ It's even more comfortable to soak in the massage pool at night! The quiet pool villa and the double pool spa villa I stayed in are both very nice! Especially the double pool spa villa~ the bedroom surrounded by water and the outdoor infinity pool are simply dreamy!
👍Highly recommended:
The InterContinental Phuket Resort is nestled in the protected bay of Kamala Beach, known as the 'millionaire's gathering place' in the northern part of Kamala Beach, facing the Andaman Sea. The hotel design is inspired by the surrounding natural environment, creating a paradise away from the hustle and bustle! Entering the lobby, with pure white as the main tone, symmetrical space, towering white marble columns, what catches the eye is a wide-open space. I stayed with my parents in a two-bedroom executive club villa, the architectural style blends Thai traditional aesthetics with modern design, with one bedroom upstairs and one downstairs~ each with its own bathroom and toilet~ the pool and courtyard are also very spacious, making the vacation so comfortable! The resort also has a very comprehensive range of recreational facilities, including six scenic swimming pools, a fitness center, tennis courts, InterContinental Club Executive Lounge, Planet Trekkers Children's Club, etc.

InterContinental Phuket Resort, a paradise for relaxation!
InterContinental Phuket Resort!
The hotel is located on Kamala Beach, nestled between the affluent 'Millionaire's Mile' and the prime western coast of Phuket, boasting a superior geographical location. Beyond the bright sunshine and soft beaches, this stylish, exquisite, and elegant seaside resort is surrounded by mountains covered with jungle, offering magnificent views of the Andaman Sea. The Thai architecture is full of local inspiration, blending effortlessly with refined dining, luxurious accommodations, lush gardens, and private lakes. Not only a tropical paradise favored by discerning travelers, it also includes a selection of curated activities that allow guests to further appreciate the local charm, staying in this luxurious haven.
There are 221 rooms, suites, and villas that are a modern luxury paradise. Each room offers views of the sea, lagoon, mountains, or poolscapes. The modern design style is combined with the simple tones of traditional Thai art, bringing joy to the body and mind of the guests. Spacious terraces or balconies are equipped with dining tables, and the in-room mini-bars offer snacks and drinks. Each residence is decorated with rich colors and warm woods, creating an elegant, unique, and vibrant space through local inspiration.
There are six scenic swimming pools, a fully-equipped fitness center, tennis courts, the InterContinental Club Executive Lounge where you can taste quality cocktails, and the Planet Trekkers Children's Club where little ones can play all day~
Located in an excellent position overlooking the entire resort, here you can only find delicious chocolates made from fresh coffee, tea, and cocoa beans grown locally in Thailand~
At the hotel's Sati Spa® and Wellness, skincare products from Thailand's HARNN range can erase the fatigue of the body, like a floral care experience tailored for customers, and the world's first Thai massage service using the traditional Khit triangle pillow to enhance comfort and effectiveness, enjoying authentic spa treatments inspired by the ancient Asian health regimen~

Breakfast at the Club is A la carte style, love the menu.
There are pictures for reference, and the serving is just as advertised.
Beautifully plated, delicious taste.

Check-in New Malaysia Thailand | Phuket InterContinental Resort's Special Dining
| Phuket InterContinental Resort's Special Dining.
🏨【Hotel Address】: 333, 333/3, Moo 3, Kamala, Kathu, Phuket, Thailand 83150, Kamala Beach, Phuket, Thailand. For us Chinese, it's more practical to use navigation~
🌆【Decor Style】: The lobby is open, but there is no draft, it's very hot! And there are a lot of mosquitoes, I got bitten more than 5 times during the check-in process. Strongly suggest to prepare mosquito repellent.
🛏【Room Type/Layout】: This time I experienced the standard room with a pool view. There are not many sea view rooms in this hotel, so everyone should book a sea view room as early as possible~ As a Diamond member, I chose breakfast as the welcome gift, but still received welcome nuts in the room. Since the hotel was just opened in 2019, the room facilities are very new, and the mattress is very comfortable, but one big problem is that the room area is too small! There is a big sofa on the balcony, which really takes up a lot of space. In contrast, the bathroom is very spacious and can fit a large bathtub. Maybe people who come on vacation don't have much luggage, the room is lackluster, just an ordinary five-star hotel, nothing much worth taking pictures of.
🚌【Transportation Strategy】: After landing by plane, it takes about 40 minutes to reach the hotel by car, and the luggage is taken over by the service staff as soon as you get off, the service is very nice~ Since it is a resort, it is recommended that everyone still go to the hotel by booking a pick-up service, after all, it will be much more convenient~
⛺【Recreation Projects】: The famous White Temple's first floor (entrance on both sides) is where the hotel SPA is located. I booked the SPA in advance and chose the cheapest traditional Thai massage for 60 minutes, 3500 baht including tax, no essential oil. It's a result of not wanting to spend too much money but wanting to experience it. Big bosses can try the package that costs nearly 10,000 baht, impeccable service! Also, the spa cost can be charged to the room account, but it probably doesn't accumulate points. The hotel's main swimming pools are two, the main pool is next to the beach, and there are several pools between the rooms, mainly divided into public pools and semi-private pools with pool access on the first floor. Remember to apply sunscreen when swimming, otherwise, you'll get sunburned and peel.
🍩【Restaurant Features】: The most worthy thing to talk about this hotel is the dining. It was the ceiling of the taste buds of my trip to Thailand, which raised my expectations, and then I felt that the restaurants in the following hotels were just average;
(1) First of all, I have to mention the InterContinental's flagship restaurant, Jaras. I booked a seat in advance and chose an indoor one by the window. Overall, the feeling of eating is that there are basically no blind spots, each dish has its own flavor and characteristics. I highly recommend the stir-fried vegetables (forgot the name), crab cakes, and Ka Pao, which are really delicious, especially the vegetables have a strong smoky taste, highly recommended! The restaurant won the Michelin award in 2022 and 2023;
(2) Outside Jaras restaurant is the Pine Beach Bar, mainly some cocktails and Western food, but all the hot food here is made and served from Jaras, so the quality is very guaranteed! Paired with the beach and pool, this is the most comfortable spot in the hotel;
(3) Opposite Pine is another bar of InterContinental, 333 at the beach, which is more social, mainly various drinks, and there is a Fire Show at night. Book a front-row table in advance, the view is very nice. The price of drinks is similar to Beijing, a cocktail is about 400 baht, and with tax, it's less than 100 RMB. Alcohol drinks do not have a discount for members, and there is a fireworks show 15 minutes after sunset~
(4) After introducing the three restaurants by the sea in the hotel, let's talk about the lobby bar's afternoon tea. Because I saw that the afternoon tea was only 850 baht/person in advance, I felt it was very cost-effective, so I booked it. Overall, the taste is standard, the savory items are average, and the desserts are great, but eating too much will make you feel greasy. What needs to be praised is that before choosing tea, the waiter will let you try the smell of the tea leaves first, then let you choose, which is very considerate,
(5) Pinto is the hotel's breakfast restaurant, which is open until 10:30. Personally, I think the breakfast at such a resort hotel in Thailand should start later, but it's also 10:30 sharp for the end of the meal. However, it can be said that breakfast also inherits the good tradition of Jaras, with excellent taste. Highly recommend the freshly cooked noodles and pastries, the noodles are very fresh and sweet, and the pastries are very crispy and fragrant. The egg station is also made to order, and salmon and such are not limited in quantity. The breakfast is exquisite and can be said to be better than most domestic hotels.
💴【Average Consumption】: As a resort hotel with a dining feature, the price is relatively high, this will cost several thousand yuan in RMB. It is recommended that everyone still book through Ctrip as early as possible, there should be a lot of discounts~
🧡【Tips】: Phuket InterContinental is a completely resort-style hotel, but unlike Samui InterContinental, it does not focus on sea views, but on dining, which is why a hotel can have 7 restaurants. If you want to go to the sea or enjoy the sea view, then Phuket InterContinental is not suitable, but if you want to soak in the hotel, swim, have a spa, and have a couple of drinks on the beach chair, then this is the perfect place~
sylas_3344
The InterContinental Phuket is a place of contrasting beauty, with one side boasting azure blue and the other pure white
Its unique architectural style makes it a perfect spot for Instagram and hotel lounging, with almost no other facilities nearby, situated on a hillside. The hotel is divided by a road into a mountain side and a sea side, connected by the hotel's own passage under the road. The room soundproofing is not great, and one night the party from the Thai brothers and sisters next door was really loud, possibly because the rooms were interconnected.
The basic room type I booked seemed to have been upgraded to a pool view. The amenities are from the Thai brand Thann, and both the tea and coffee are good. I really liked the **l Echo Wall provided, but it would be a disaster if the room soundproofing was poor.
The breakfast options are OK, but some items are too salty for my taste. On the first evening, I ordered pizza and dessert at the bar by the sea, without trying the highly recommended jaras, leaving a regret for next time. Staying here, there are not many other dining options within walking distance, so you mainly eat at the hotel.
The swimming pool is divided into two parts, with the mountain side pools located on either side of the lobby, but due to daily rain➕floods, only one side of the pool was open, and I didn't get the chance to experience it. On the sea side, there is a pool next to the restaurant, right by the beach.

Everything was so nice. Its the best hotel I have ever been to. I will definitely go back just to stay in the hotel area, relaxing and enjoying ME time. 10000000/10 LOVE THIS PLACE SO MUCH!

Phuket | experience the 5-star luxury hotel in Phuket
We stayed with InterContinental Phuket Resort next which has the best location right opposite the famous Kamala Beach. It is definitely an extraordinary 5-star experience and I highly recommend you all to stay there when you visit Phuket.
Their property is so amazing and well-designed! We stayed at their Classic Room and it just feels like home for us. No matter it is the bed, sofa, bathtub or balcony, there isn’t a corner we don’t like. With strategic location, guests here can enjoy both sunrise and sunset which is a big plus! They have both mountain side and beach side. It is extremely accessible to the perfect beach - 5-10 minutes walk in the beach access.
Photo 2-4 show a temple-like architecture right? Thought it is a temple in the property for their religion? No, it is indeed a restaurant on top and spa room underneath! I found it the most unique spot of the property and absolutely my favorite.
