Stayed here for 7 nights in a Superior golden horn king size room and found our experience to be okay. I am a bit divided on how to write this review, since we had a good stay but with soo many minor ”things”. When my partner arrived at check in time, the room wasn't ready. He waited about 45min longer before he was able to check in. • The room: Upon checking in we noticed that the doorlock was busted and asked reception to fix this. (This was very quickly repaired after asking) The handsoap wasn't refilled between guests, we had to mention this to reception. We noticed that they clean the bathroom with a substance that leaves greasy marks, so even though your bathroom is ”cleaned”, it doesn't always look like it. The tiny mirror and the hairdryer socket flap were both dirty after checking in and not cleaned in any of the days that we were there. The shower glass isn't extended too far, so be prepared that when you shower the floor will get quite wet. Housekeeping doesn't restock any teas during a 7day stay. If you fancy something that you've finished, you need to ask reception to stock it again. They did restock our water every day though, so I'm not sure why they'd only do it halfway. The bathroom door isn't actually a solid door but two halves. Which is okay, but if you don't like to hear your partner in the bathroom or on the toilet- you might have an issue with this. The room had 1/2 a view of the elevator, the other half was of the river, the bridge and the mosques. (View was decent) Maybe the most important lack of this room: the matrass. There is nothing actually wrong with the bed itself besides the mattress splitting in half at times. However the mattress itself is past its due date. It had such a hole in the middle of too many people having slept in it. It was quite hard to sometimes get comfortabele since you aren't well aligned, it ended up giving me a little neck ache. • The location: The location of this hotel is great. You are near the Galata area and tower, you can easily walk down towards the water and bridge (both sides). And there is plenty to see and do within a 30min walk- area. The hotel is located semi at the bottom of the hill. If you fancy getting to Galata tower, be prepared for a steep- but beautiful walk up. Plenty of good restaurants near this hotel or only a short taxi drive away. • The service Reception as well as the waitstaff are lovely. If there is anything- they'll fix it for you. They are always willing to help and they get it sorted as quickly as they can. • The buffet The majority of the photo's I'm posting with this review will be of the buffet. I've noticed that there arent many photos online of it and I think it could be a selling point for foreigners to choose this hotel. They have a range of pastries and breads every morning. Boiled eggs and a selection of warm dishes. They have their salad and fruit bar with yoghurts available. And their cheeses and meats to fit any dish. They have an egg service where you can order eggs to your liking with table service. They also provide coffees as per table service too. Service during breakfast hours is lovely and they try to memorise your orders. We noticed a (relatively new to Hospitality) Turkish guy working there, and he always made us feel welcomed. Even though we doesn't speak a word of English. Reason for me finding it difficult to write this review is: The standard in Turkey is a bit older than in other places in the world. I feel like we paid a significant amount of money for this room, but got outdated quality? I wouldn't say this is a 5 star hotel, not even 4 stars to be honest. However, for the quality standard in Turkey I do believe that this considered to be a good hotel. We enjoyed our stay here, but aren't necessarily too sure it is priced accordingly to it's quality. I'm giving it 4 stars due to the location and the service, but am not convinced it's fully worth the price you pay.

Pros: 1. The breakfast offers a mix of traditional Turkish breakfast and Western options, with a great variety of cheeses and plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. 2. Although the room is small, it's very tidy and clean. It gets cleaned daily, and the bed sheets are changed every day. 3. The location is excellent. It's within walking distance of Yedikule Fortress and Marble Tower, and only an 8-minute walk to the sea. 4. The surrounding area is a residential neighborhood with schools, making it very quiet. 5. The hotel's Wi-Fi is super fast and never lags. Areas for improvement: 1. It would be great if there was an airport shuttle service.

Great location (though we constantly got lost in those little streets). The breakfasts were decent, we didn't get tired of them over 5 days. The view was absolutely beautiful. Eating with such a view every day boosts your mood by 100%. We didn't use the pool, but we did visit the sauna – a nice little bonus. As for downsides: it was noisy. I don't know about other rooms, but our window overlooked a shopping street, and we could hear conversations and vendors setting up from early in the morning. The staff were lovely and friendly. Our room was fully equipped, and everything worked.

My first night was a disaster because my room's power supply kept cutting off and they took almost 3 to 4 hours to fix it, due to that I couldn't sleep the whole night and my morning plans got wasted too. I asked the hotel manager Mr.Arda to give me an extra night, (he refused), airport transfer on my checkout date , (he refused) , room upgrade, (he refused) , Then Mr Arda promised us a complimentary dinner at the rooftop restaurant and that was amazing .My initial plan was to stay 3 nights but then I extended it for 2 more nights because of 1 man Mr.Karem at the reception , the nicest guy of the hotel , Mr.Karem and Mr.Arda helped us alot and supported us in every aspect, but sorry to say all the other staff members there had just 1 answer. im sorry we cannot help you we cannot help you , I'll definitely visit again, Thanks to Mr.Arda and Mr.Karem ❤️ and lastly thanks to Mr.Servet who told us about the free shuttle service provided by the hotel which takes us to Taksim . The hotel has an incredibly convenient location: the tram stop is just a three-minute walk away, the metro is also nearby, and the ferry terminals are about ten minutes away. Everything you might need is close by, including currency exchange offices with good rates, sweet shops, restaurants, and major attractions. The hotel itself and our room were excellent. The interior was pleasant, clean, and modern, and there was enough space for two people. The room was cleaned every day, and the service and staff were great. The Wi-Fi signal was strong and reliable. Our room was on the third floor and overlooked a lovely little street. There is a mosque nearby, so the call to prayer can be heard quite loudly—something to keep in mind. A buffet breakfast is available and can be paid for at the hotel. The food was fresh and tasty, with a good selection. However, you can also find breakfast for about half the price at cafés near the hotel :) The only downside was the swimming pool. The pool itself was nice, although not very large. However, wearing a swimming cap is mandatory :( You can buy one at the hotel for €5, but swimming in one is not particularly comfortable. The hotel also has a rooftop terrace with a restaurant. The views of the city and the Bosphorus are fantastic, but unfortunately, we didn’t get a chance to try the food, as the kitchen doesn’t open until 6 p.m. The hotel has entrances from two different streets, which is very convenient. It is also split between two buildings located right next to each other, so don’t get confused :) I would definitely stay at this hotel again on my next visit :)

A nice small hotel with all amenities, and timely cleaning. The cafe offers a stunning view of the sea and the strait. Cormorants and crows are always a delight to see, waiting for guests to arrive for breakfast. The location is very convenient, close to the metro, ferry crossings, and Bosphorus tours. Airport transfer can also be arranged. Special thanks to the staff for their hospitality.

Very outdated hotel - the interior felt eerie. We stayed in a non-smoking room that smelled like smoke at night. Our shower drain was clogged and would flood (this was fixed however it is not expected of any hotel, let alone a 5 star). Gym was small and equipment is old. Sauna wasn’t working properly - not hot enough. However, staff were friendly and welcoming, and hotel location was convenient if you want to take the tram to tourist sites or walk around the shops, restaurants, etc. Overall, I don’t think this is a 5 star hotel. I would not stay there again or recommend it to anyone looking for a 5 star hotel.

Good day! I'll start by saying that the hotel failed to fulfill its obligations regarding the booked room. We booked a family room with a balcony for our family. Upon arrival at the hotel for check-in, we were immediately told that there were problems with our room and they couldn't accommodate us. They offered us one night in a different hotel. A bellboy escorted us to the other hotel and carried our luggage. The alternative hotel turned out to be, to put it mildly, a dump – tiny rooms, a non-functional air conditioner; in short, it was awful. We were so upset that we just dropped our suitcases and immediately went out into the city, only returning to sleep. The next morning, we returned to our hotel for breakfast and to store our luggage. After breakfast, we inquired about our room and were told it would be ready by 2 PM, even though the day before they had promised we might be able to check in that morning. They lied again, but we decided not to get too upset and went out to explore. We returned to the hotel at 2:30 PM, and to our surprise, the reception handed us two key cards for different rooms – not even adjoining, but located at opposite ends of the floor. So much for a family room! Furthermore, when we returned to the hotel, the electricity had been off since 12 PM, and they promised it would be back on by 8 PM… We decided to check out the offered rooms. Naturally, they didn't at all match what we had booked; there was no balcony, for which we had paid extra. Since we were already exhausted from all the 'hostel hopping,' we decided to just take the offered rooms. But it was a complete disappointment! Returning to the hotel in the evening, around 11:30 PM, the electricity that was promised by 8 PM still hadn't come back on, which also meant no hot water and no air conditioning. A large group of guests gathered at the entrance, demanding a solution (by the way, the manager is constantly absent, and if you want to talk to him, you have to wait 1-2-3 hours). As a result, the hostess tried again to offer relocation to another hotel for one night. Everyone went to get their belongings, and to our surprise, when we came back down, no one was there; they had simply forgotten about us. Meanwhile, it was already past midnight. We waited for the hostess to return and for us to be moved. About 1.5 hours later, all the guests were brought back 😂 apparently, they couldn't find enough 'hotels' to accommodate everyone. After some time, around 2 AM, the electricity finally came back on. So, out of 3 nights, we spent 2 nights in complete stress and confusion. By the way, the electricity went out again the next day at the hotel, but they managed to restore it quicker. Regarding the hotel service: the toilet paper in the room ran out, and the TV wasn't working. First, my husband asked at reception for more paper and to fix the TV. Then I personally asked the housekeepers who were cleaning our room for paper. To our surprise, when we returned to the room in the evening, the paper was still not there! And of course, the TV still wasn't working. I had to visit reception twice more to get a roll of paper. The water in the room was never refilled during our entire stay. The room we booked was supposed to have slippers; in the rooms they gave us, one had them, the other didn't. The hotel offered breakfast on the restaurant terrace. The breakfast was average; everything was dried out because it wasn't covered in any way, and the selection was mediocre – lots of cheese of one type, various cold cuts, boiled eggs, fruits (in the first few days, a meager amount of melon and sliced oranges with grapefruit; later, perhaps when foreign tourists arrived, the selection became richer). The coffee machine, of course, wasn't working; there was only instant coffee, which quickly ran out, and we constantly had to ask for more. The only positive was the view from the terrace during breakfast. Otherwise, I do not recommend this hotel. There are many problems, constant promises, but no action to fix the situation. My rating for the hotel is 1 out of 10.
