Hotels With WiFi in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan

The environment here is absolutely amazing, and being able to soak in the hot springs was incredibly relaxing. Breakfast was decent too. However, there were some real pain points. First off, I knew the hotel was on a mountain and that there was a shuttle service. But I didn't realize the shuttle and pedestrians use the same road to go up, which felt quite dangerous. Secondly, the shuttle schedule was infrequent. The biggest issue was that due to a landslide, the later sections of the Izukyu Line were suspended. The hotel's car picked us up at Katase-Shirata, but they wouldn't drop us off there for the return journey. They clearly had a driver picking people up at Katase-Shirata, so why couldn't they just take us with them? Plus, the front desk wasn't clear about this when I asked. The hotel car could only shuttle us to Shimoda Station, which wasted our time. It was a complete rip-off!

The day I stayed, there were a lot of elementary school groups, and the elevator was slow to come because there was only one, which was inconvenient, but other than that it was comfortable. As a precaution against the large group, I decided not to go to the public bath or have breakfast, so I avoided the crowds, but I wish I could have. The view from the window of my room facing south was nothing special, but that was nice.

It was the best place where my wife and I had ever rested. And the hotel and the whole city of Shimoda is a paradise. We liked absolutely everything. And the hotel employee - Kaori, is an exceptional nature person. She gives her work 200% and is the heart of this hotel. Thanks to her scrupulousness, sensitivity and care, there was a feeling that my mother was taking care of us in the hotel. We will definitely come back again! We advise everyone to visit this city and this beautiful hotel at least once. This hotel is super convenient, just a few minutes' walk from Ito Station, right by the sea. There's a road downstairs, so be aware that if your room faces the ocean, you might hear traffic noise at night, which could be an issue if you're a light sleeper. Ito feels like a charming small town; it's not too crowded, and exploring the local shops and streets was quite enjoyable. The room was quite spacious for Japan, though the facilities were a bit dated, everything was still very clean. We slept directly on the tatami mats and didn't use the TV or anything. Note that they have two buildings separated by the road in front of the reception. They also offer hot springs and private baths, but we didn't have time to try them. For service, two elderly gentlemen handled our check-in, and they spoke English.

Amazing hotel with the Fuji View from the room, don’t have to travel to viewpoints just to see Fujisan. Toilet is nicely segregated and the room is super big and spacious that I can open my luggages freely. The free public bath is amazing with different options for onsen and sauna room. Location is good, right beside Gotemba premium outlet so shopping was very convenient. But if you are not driving, might be difficult for you to get food at night .. Nearest 7-11 is quite a walk as its located deep inside Gotemba premium outlet.

Our stay here exceeded all expectations – incredible value for money! The hotel has a charming ambiance and is super close to Mount Omuro. The on-site hot spring was a lifesaver after a long day of sightseeing, really helping to ease our fatigue. But what truly set this place apart was the exceptional service from the owner. They were incredibly responsive to all our requests, and their attention to detail was outstanding. For example, when it suddenly started pouring rain one morning and we couldn't easily get around, the owner proactively drove us to our destination. Then, when we checked out, they personally drove us to the train station. With beautiful scenery, convenient access, and such impeccable hospitality, it was a truly stress-free and heartwarming experience. Highly, highly recommend!

This Dormy Inn hotel maintains its signature style. There are seven private onsen on the 4th floor, and a public bath on the top floor, making for a truly wonderful hot spring experience. Both dinner and breakfast are served buffet-style, with a good variety of food that is refilled promptly. In the evenings, there's complimentary ramen, and after a soak, free cold drinks. In the mornings, you can enjoy free Yakult. The service and staff attitude are also excellent. Getting to the hotel from Shuzenji Station is easy on bus C10, or if you have a lot of luggage, a taxi will cost under 1500 JPY. It's definitely worth staying for two days to relax and enjoy the hot springs.

The room was spacious and quiet. The front desk staff spoke Japanese and English and were very friendly. The view was also great, with the ocean right outside the window. You could hear the sound of the waves with the window open, but it was well soundproofed when closed. It had two beds and a large tatami mat, which could fit two people, making it a room for four in total. There's free parking, and the hotel was clean. The shower and bedroom were separated, which was a nice touch. Very satisfied.

Things i don’t like: Bathroom is compact and the toilet is so tiny that unless you have a micro D, you are going to manual drive every time you sit on it The ventilation is weak almost none, so the room is moist and smell

🗻 Location: The hotel offers a very clear and beautiful view of Mount Fuji. The scenery is truly stunning. However, the hotel is located a bit far from supermarkets and convenience stores, so having a car would make it much more convenient. 🍽️ Food: On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings, there are complimentary light snacks provided, which is a very nice touch. The chef was very kind and attentive, and the food was delicious. Breakfast options were somewhat limited, but the taste was decent. 🧼 Cleanliness: The room was very clean, and the bed was soft, warm, and comfortable. 🧴 Amenities: Guests can freely pick up amenities near the elevator. There is also free hot and cold water available downstairs, which is very convenient. 🧺 Laundry: The washing machine service was slightly expensive. 👩💼 Staff: Most of the staff appeared a bit serious, but they were still professional and provided good service. However, they did not smile much or proactively give recommendations as much as I expected.
