"This hotel truly exceeded my expectations. The location is fantastic—convenient for getting around, yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful. The room was impressively spacious and spotlessly clean, which made for a very comfortable stay. What really stood out, though, was the incredible design. Every corner of the hotel has a strong sense of style, with thoughtful details that create a unique atmosphere. And as a special highlight, the view of the pitch was absolutely amazing—it gave the whole experience a thrilling stadium feel. Highly recommended for both design lovers and sports fans"

"The hostel is nice with a nice layout that gives you some privacy. However since every bed has its own light people just kept it on the whole night so I couldn’t sleep. Also the dormitory is small and showers and toilets are inside the room and people started to use the hairdryer early in the morning. The owners are nice tho, and when I complaint they gave me an eye mask as a gift which was very thoughtful. Location is great."

"This is a great hotel, conveniently located near Chuo-bashi (Central Bridge) and Nagasaki Station, with easy access to public transport. The hotel facilities are excellent and comprehensive, including a washing machine and dryer, a large public bath, breakfast service, and a bar. The 3rd and 11th floors offer panoramic city views through their floor-to-ceiling windows. The service is also superb, truly impeccable. One thing to note is that disposable slippers are not provided, so you'll need to bring your own. However, there was one significant issue: my room had a strong body odor smell, and the entire 9th-floor hallway smelled the same. Even opening the window didn't get rid of it, and the air freshener provided by the hotel didn't help either. Perhaps I was just unlucky."

"Our stay at Nagasaki Marriott truly exceeded expectations; it was incredibly comfortable! For this family trip, I booked three rooms for two consecutive nights, and the overall experience was excellent. The hotel's location is superb, right above a large shopping mall, making shopping, dining, and buying souvenirs incredibly convenient – daily life couldn't be easier. Situated near a transportation hub, getting around is a breeze, which is especially great for family travel. Taxis are also readily available! The rooms are spacious and bright, with expansive views and beautiful scenery outside the window; simply being in the room felt so relaxing. Because the hotel was so comfortable and well-equipped, I didn't even feel the need to rush out to tourist spots; I just wanted to quietly relax and enjoy the vacation within the hotel. The service was attentive and thoughtful, and the environment was clean and comfortable. It's perfectly suited for both family holidays and relaxing getaways, making it a perfect accommodation choice for our trip to Nagasaki."

Let’s meet in a small hollow hidden within the city. Here, you’ll find guest rooms where you can retreat from the noise, stairways wrapped in layers of sound, and a café and bar that gently calm the mind. Some people gaze out at the morning streets while sipping coffee. Some arrive with a book in hand, waiting for someone special. Some gather with local friends and share stories. Others are inspired by the encounters and culture they discover while traveling. A hideaway has been created here — a secret base-like space that connects softly with the city around it.

"I stayed at this hostel while traveling solo. It was my first time staying at a hostel, and it was much cleaner than I expected. First of all, the bedding was neatly organized, with no trash or leftover cleaning, so I was able to rest just like I would at a regular hotel. The shower room was shared, but everyone seemed to keep it clean, so it wasn't unpleasant. There were plenty of amenities available. The lounge on the 8th floor was a great place for people to chat and I felt it was a great place to connect with people in a foreign country. They also provided alcohol sprays, so it didn't look like it had been soiled by the previous user, and it felt very clean. I would definitely stay here again. The clothes hanger attached to the bed in my shared room had been taken by a foreigner, including my own. I think this is something that individuals should be aware of, but I think it would have been nice to have a sign to make it clearer."

"A very comfortable hotel located just about 400 metres from Nagasaki Station, with a tram stop, bus stop, and a convenience store right at the doorstep. Getting around is incredibly easy, as it sits right in the heart of everything. Glover Garden, the Atomic Bomb Museum, Peace Park, and Chinatown are all just a few tram stops away. You can even walk to Mt. Inasayama in around 10 minutes, which makes visiting for the famous night view especially convenient. The room was clean and cozy. The public bath was spacious, with multiple tubs to choose from. There are also laundry and dryer machines available (three of each), though you may need to time your usage a bit. The breakfast was excellent, especially for those who enjoy Japanese-style options. It included a rotating selection of Nagasaki specialties such as champon, Goto udon, and sara udon. There were also breads, salads, and made-to-order egg dishes. However, it might feel a bit pricey if you do not prefer Japanese-style breakfasts, as they make up around 60% of the selection."

Beautiful hotel, view was awesome the moment we stepped out of the train at the station. Pleasant surprise that we got free upgrades to rooms with park view that was so stunning. We took many beautiful pictures of the view. The breakfast was very impressive as well. The staff was very polite and provided good service with smiles. We enjoyed our stay tremendously.

Highly recommended to everyone who comes and especially those coming for Miffy! Hotel Amsterdam is just next to the Miffy Wonder Square. Although I wasn’t able to book the Miffy themed room this time, the room we stayed was also very good enough. Super spacious with the toilet and bathroom separated. The buffet breakfast was great too. Had a comfortable stay and will come back if I visit Huis Ten Bosch again.

Private entrance to Huis Ten Bosch takes you almost directly to the flower fields. They provide free loaner umbrellas which was handy as it rained one day during our stay. Breakfast was decent with a variety of western and Japanese foods. It is nice that breakfast is offered for quite a while so you have flexibility when eating. They were very helpful with storing luggage early and picking it up late so we could spend our time enjoying Huis Ten Bosch without worrying. My husband had a guitar and they personally held it in a protected location as they also have automated luggae storage. Facilities were clean and maintained although not new. Front desk spoke flawless English. Overall a pleasant stay.

This hostel has some genuinely strong points, but also several issues that stop it from being a great stay. It’s very much a mix of highs and lows. The positives: The common room is comfortable, with very good sofas and fast Wi-Fi (though it occasionally drops out — a router upgrade would easily fix this). There’s a shared kitchen with a labelled fridge, and the location is excellent for exploring Nagasaki. Dorm rooms are good value for the price. Bed spaces are a decent size, with excellent blackout curtains that block light even if others leave the lights on. You also get a small lockbox for valuables. The negatives: Check-in is fully self-service with no reception. You’re given a folder with rules and keys, but if you need help, there’s no clear support — which can be stressful, especially for travellers without phone SIMs. There is no lift. I stayed on the fourth floor, and the narrow stairs make carrying luggage difficult. Facilities per floor are also limited: only one toilet and one shower shared between multiple dorms, plus the washer and dryer on the same floor, which feels insufficient and awkward. Extras are all paid separately (towels, toothbrushes, earplugs, etc.). A towel really should be included at this price. Guests are also expected to ***** their own bedsheets at checkout, which feels excessive. The common room layout could be improved. A large hammock takes up space and reduces seating — replacing it with chairs or bar seating would make the area far more usable. There were also staff or long-term workers frequently occupying the common room, which made the space feel less guest-focused. Air conditioning is locked and cannot be adjusted, so if you’re too hot or cold, you have no control. Would I stay again? As a backpacker on a very tight budget, yes — tahe location and price make it workable. But if you can afford it, I’d recommend paying more for a private room nearby. There are many hotels in the area offering much better comfort and support.

It's located on a pretty steep hill, and there isn't much commercial activity around. You'll need to take a bus to get into the city center. There's a bus stop right outside the hotel, conveniently named after the hotel itself. Make sure you get off at that stop; getting off even one or two stops earlier will mean a steep climb. It's not far from the summit of Mount Inasa, and there's a direct bus. If you miss the bus after enjoying the night view, a taxi back to the hotel is only about a 5-minute ride and reasonably priced. The hotel's own free rooftop observation deck is absolutely amazing, and enjoying a drink and the night view in the lounge is also very pleasant. There's a shuttle bus service from the hotel to Nagasaki Station. There's also a hot spring (onsen).

The location is a bit off the beaten path, making it ideal for self-driving tourists. Due to its proximity to nature, you might occasionally encounter a few insects in the rooms, but the hotel is generally clean and well-maintained. It boasts a wide array of recreational facilities, along with services such as restaurants, hot springs, and massages. The pricing is reasonable, offering good value for money, so you can easily spend a full and enjoyable vacation without leaving the hotel. I highly recommend it for families looking for a relaxing getaway!

Location-wise, the hotel is conveniently right in front of the Ohato Station of the Nagasaki tramway system, and is a very walkable distance away from many attractions including Dejimamachi, Nagasaki Shinchi Chinatown, and the Nagasaki Seaside Park. The cleanliness of the room and hallways was excellent and the front desk receptionists were kind and welcoming. The coin laundry room has 4 washing machines and 4 dryers (as of Sept 2025; do note that the coin laundry room feels like a free sauna when at least 4 machines are running), the wifi for guests worked consistently, and the smoke-free policy meant that no areas smelled of smoke. The air conditioning for the rooms was sufficiently cool, the lighting control and mini alarm clock by the bed worked well, and overall the room felt very cozy and comfortable to stay in. Because the single room has a relatively narrow entrance walkway, try to avoid bringing multiple pieces of large luggage as there may not be space to open them at the same time. I greatly enjoyed my stay here (especially it being my first solo trip), and would book it again if returning to Nagasaki in the future.
