The check in process is very unfriendly for foreigners. The instructions are unclear. The 24/7 contact will be answered on the 5th or 6th call. It took us an hour to get the key and correct location for the room. The key and the room are two different places.
Other than that, the room is very nice for a family. Cozy and spacey. Very nice location. 10 mins walk to the station. If the check in instructions can be improved, it is a nice place.
The hotel is located within walking distance from the station (but NOT with ski equipment) at the Ylläsjärvi side of the resort. I have to say that the reception staff was friendly beyond expectations and the breakfast was also better than average (especially when compared with other Finnish hotels).
I could go again. We had a room with in room stairs to the loft and those were extremely steep and hard to climb for an adult. Anyway, kids were happy to get their own nest from the upper level. As always, Finnish hotels rarely are equipped with decent cooking during the summer months. I have no doubts that during the winter the rooms will be warm but during the hot summer days they could be cooler.
My family of 4 adults had a nice 2 nights stayed in this beautiful hotel. So nice and everything is excellent. My prefer hotel if u ever have a chance to go Levi again
It was an experience out of the world during our stay here. We arrived early wanting to drop our bags but they allowed us to check in early anyway as our room was ready.
The cabin itself was clean and spacious enough for 2 people. The bathroom floor was heated which was nice. We got to even see the northern lights from our bed even though it only lasted for less than a minute. One thing to note is cabins are located quite near to one another and with the glass panels, you don't get total privacy. Make sure to request for a cabin off the stretch of main road to have more privacy.
We had breakfast and dinner here. Options were quite limited but understandable given the location. All dishes were labelled clearly, and we had no issues as vegetarians. We even saw some neighbourhood squirrels enjoying their breakfast.
The place is very modern and managed commercially as a business, with everything extra requiring extra charges (you may even pay for staff to pick up your bags from your cabin to the main reception, which is a 2-5 min walk affair).
Despite this, we think it's still worth trying out for a night to have something that's different.
We stayed in snowhotel for 1 night. Sleeping bags were not comfortable, we could hardly get any sleep. Breakfast was nice, with good vegetarian options as well. All the amenities were good, snow sauna, bonfire in kota restaurant, snow slide and sky bar.
The service here is quite good, the staff in the recee will give you some useful advice if you ask, room is really awesome, geting a nice view from the balcony. The breakfast is also good.
服务很好,房间有阳台,浴室,桑拿房。风景很好,周边有几个餐厅可以吃饭。早餐也不错
Great location, very close to the supermarket in Naatamo. The surrounding environment is very beautiful. Overall it is very clean and quiet. Jaana also gave me timely help. I stayed here for 8 nights. Thank you very much for everything here. I will stay here again Come back again.
The customer service was excellent, everyone was kind, and I was glad I chose this hotel from the start. Even though I arrived earlier than check-in time, my room was ready so I was allowed to check in early. There was a tour company right in front of the hotel, and the ski resort was nearby, so there were lots of things to do and it was convenient.

XXiaojiejieIn the mountains~
It is more convenient to drive by yourself!
There are not many people, very quiet~
It takes about half an hour to drive from Santa Claus Village
Drive into the woods of the hotel. There is a kind of lonely beauty!! It is also very mysterious...
There are also deer in the hotel!
It’s a pity that I didn’t see the northern lights this time
GGuest UserThe breakfast was sumptuous and delicious.
The location overlooking the lake made me feel like I'd stepped into the world of Moomin, and even just strolling around was enjoyable.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to see the aurora, but the sky viewed through the glass ceiling was beautiful even on a cloudy day, and I would have liked to stay a few nights just to see this.
The sauna experience of jumping into the lake was extremely satisfying. I'm grateful to the Apukka team for making a reservation for me despite my last-minute email.
I'm sorry that my poor English caused confusion for the staff, but it was a truly enjoyable stay.
AAnonymous UserI can't wait to recommend this hotel to many friends! It's so beautiful! I saw the Northern Lights for two consecutive nights! I chased the Northern Lights while lying on the bed! The hotel is beautiful like a fairy tale world! The hotel also has a lot of activities! But the hotel is too popular, so you need to book in advance, and many times you can't cancel or change it. When I booked before, I only got one night. Before leaving, I was surprised to find that the other night I needed was vacant, so I grabbed it without hesitation! I'm so glad I stayed here for two consecutive days!
GGuest UserBuffet breakfast, diversified styles, my favorite salmon, eggplant juice beans and wheat skin, and a self-service waffles machine, let the guests make their own waffles 🧇, hot and very delicious! The hotel is on the side of the river in River Juutua, you can see the beautiful view of the river in the restaurant and room, first-class enjoyment! The front desk clerk was happy to answer our questions, and some were smiling! The waiters and food in the hotel restaurant (Aanaar) reached the level of a 5-star hotel. When serving, each dish will be explained, what is its main dish, side dish and juice! The most unfortunately, the thermostat does not have temperature, and the weather is not too cold. There is a hot tube for drying clothes in the bathroom, and the wet clothes are drying quickly!
EEmconcBad management during check in.
I book an Apartment for 2 nights for this stay but I got the room for 1 night each. Staff told me I have to change room tomorrow and check out at 12PM.
So that mean first night I stay and tomorrow check out 12PM and wait for a new room. Also, the apartment is very far from reception. Luckily, I have a car. Imagine if I don't have a car, I have to carry big luggage from the apartment to reception to check out and wait for new room later and move my luggage to new room again, how was it?
Moreover, when I check out at 12PM staff told me the room will ready for check in around 2 hours. Then came back to check in again for second at 3PM another staff told me the room is not ready yet and policy for the Apartment check in time is 6PM. ***!!! I said I need the room now because this is unacceptable. Then staff told me the room is ready and give me the key card.
So, for this situation I waste the time for half day to pack my luggage, move a lot of luggage to my car with a lot of snow, check out, go to reception for check out, wait the new room, wait, wait, wait, and come back to check in and got very bad answer that she told the room is not ready, and go to check in again, move my luggage to new apartment with a lot of snow, and take a rest. VERY BAD!!!!!
GGuest UserThe igloo with sauna was lovely. The beds were comfy and the sauna was awesome! Took some time for the ice to melt on the glass ceiling of the igloo but when we made the reception staff aware they sorted it out while we were at dinner. We booked dinner at the restaurant but were not informed beforehand that the table was only available for 1 hour which would have been nice as we would have tried to book a different time, instead, we were told 50 minutes into our dinner that they needed the table for another booking and they could move us to the reception lounge area where we could have dessert and finish our bottle of wine. Also, house keeping came before checkout time.

AAnonymous UserThe front desk is in a large house, decorated with many Christmas things. When I first opened the door to the room, there was a smell of wood, but it disappeared later. I thought the bathroom was quite clean, but the shower was limited to 13 minutes and there wasn't much hot water, so I didn't wash my hair for two nights. The bacon for breakfast is delicious. The environment nearby is very good, close to the sea and a small forest. It feels like Kemi is not big and there are not many people there, so I like it quite a bit. There is a supermarket nearby, and there are many restaurants on the beach. It was stuffy inside the cathedral. I didn’t see any gems in the Gem Museum, and the square in front was a flea market.
AAussie_ShaI caught the RV train from Helsinki, which was relaxing and a brilliant way to see the countryside. Arriving into Rovaniemi at 21:20, it was a short cab drive to the hotel, and with 24/7 reception checking was a breeze.
Twin room 410 was well appointed, clean, and beds were comfortable; the room safe was easy to set and use. I appreciated the door chain for extra security and peaceful night sleep.
Santas Hotel central location was excellent ,with the padestrian mall, shops, restaurants, and bars literally around the corner.
Taxis could be found out front, and the santa/airport bus was only a short walk up the street. Though do pay attention to santa express pickup and drop-off times as they do not run that regularly.
The buffet breakfast had something for everyone to enjoy! Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, and the Christmas decorations throughout the hotel made my inner child smile.😊
There are many attractions, so be sure to give yourself enough time to experience everything.
I will definitely choose to stay again next time I travel to Rovaniemi.

CChris LumThis was a great location slightly out of the city to catch the Northern Lights without going on a tour (we saw it two nights out of two)! The glass cabins were well kept and clean, we were two adults and two teens and there was enough space for everyone. Note that this resort serves only five cabins and no one else, so the exclusivity is unsurpassed! It is also beside a frozen lake and you can walk to the middle to catch the auroras. A lot of nature activities to occupy the family in the daytime. Some recommendations would be the sauna+frozen lake dip, ice fishing and hiking to the rock church. The founder of the resort, Theo, is ultra friendly and nice and all the staff there (shoutout to Millie and Guillaume!) really go above and beyond to help make our stay there so memorable. All the photos uploaded I took with just my iphone16. All in I was extremely happy we chose this place for the Rovaniemi leg of our trip.
