The price was acceptable, and I wanted to stay somewhere near the Clock Tower. It's right by the subway, making it very convenient to get around. However, the subway station downstairs was quite a maze. I called the hotel, and they patiently guided me, so I found the hotel right after exiting the subway. Both checking in and checking out were straightforward and efficient. I really appreciate hotels like this, unlike others that push membership cards and QR code scans during your stay, or chase you for good reviews when you leave.

What a delightful little hidden gem in the alleys of Xi'an! The hotel might be small, but it's packed with clever touches. The lobby's bold color-block design and Instagrammable spots are perfect for snapping photos until your phone dies! It's just a few steps from the subway and right next to a shopping district, making it super convenient for going out, dining, and getting around. You can even walk to popular downtown attractions in just a few minutes. Although the rooms aren't huge, they're spotlessly clean, and the bedding and bathroom amenities are pristine. Plus, there are plenty of dining and entertainment options nearby, which is a blessing for anyone who loves convenience. The front desk even gave us a souvenir when we checked out – the experience was absolutely divine! Staying here on our trip was incredibly refreshing.

小圆 was my designated contact during my stay in Xi'an She was excellent and attentive even on her day off! Went above and beyond, a credit to the staff. She even got me a little thank you gift to finish off ny first trip to Xi'an on a high Room was excellent, able to walk to Bell Tower (5 minutes), City Wall (20 minutes) and good transoort links e.g. subway/metro Tourist Bus etc as well as good shopping around the area. I made good use of the included Breakfast and afternoon tea (小圆 even ensured I could access when I had checked out for the morning due to ny tour taking me past 3pm) Room came with everything I needed for my stay, slippers robe, toiletries, plentiful bottled water and some soft drinks as well were waitinf in the fridge for me, usual hot drinks too. Will definitely consider staying again when I have the chance to revisit.

Dear Property Owner I am writing to convey my gratitude for the excellent customer service I experienced when I checked in to your hotel on 13 Nov 2025. I was glad to encounter one of your employees (refer photo) who took the extra mile in rectifying my booking issues. She calmly gave her honest opinions and assisted me all way through until I comfortably checked in my room. Despite language barrier she showed her sincerity and patience in every interaction thus turning it to a positive experience. I would a l s o like to c o m m e n t o n a very helpful cleaning lady by the name of fang fang (see photo) who took teh exra mile to show me the laundry room and taught me patiently how to operate the washer. She also told m e to approach her anytime should I need any assistance with regards to housekeeping matters. Their commitment to providing outstanding service is commendable. I would like to say thank you to all the staff and my gratitude to both of them for their hard work. Best Regards Z  Singapore

Amazing location and kind host ! Room is clean and comfortable. Location is amazing just 5 minutes from metro and in the market so endless food to try. It is located in a backstreet but it was not hard to find as I saw in some comments, it is very safe and smiling neighbors. The host kindly showed me where to do my laundry and offered daily cleaning if needed. Very available by text for any question. Thank you and wish you the best !

This is the best hotel I've ever stayed at in terms of service. The room was well-equipped, clean, and the bedding was spotless. The mattress was incredibly comfortable, and I slept wonderfully. They even extended my check-out time. The hotel is located in the heart of Xi'an, offering excellent value for money, and it's convenient for getting anywhere. Plus, they offer luggage storage, which is a huge bonus!

The stay experience at the Elegant Hotel in Xi’an’s Bell Tower was flawless. The location was exceptional, easily accessible by foot to the Bell Tower and the city walls. “The core attractions were within reach, and the free parking lot was a pleasant surprise within the commercial area.” The hotel exudes Tang Dynasty elegance, with elements of the Tang Dynasty intertwined with non-heritage decorations. From the observation terrace, one can enjoy a panoramic view of the ancient city. The rooms are clean and well-maintained. The bedding is soft and comfortable, and the free Hanfu experience and non-heritage printing are highly ceremonial. The staff were warm, attentive, and responsive, making the entire stay comfortable from check-in to check-out. It offers an excellent balance between convenience and quality, making it an ideal place to explore Xi’an. I would definitely choose this place again for my next visit.

This stay was very bad. Very bad. We were arranged to stay in the north. The north side faces the street. The cars passing by at 4 o'clock in the morning, especially the cement tankers, were very loud. It was impossible to fall asleep. No matter how good, comfortable, and welcoming the hotel is, it can't stand such noise, especially the window where I stayed was the entrance and exit of the parking lot, and there was an intelligent voice gate that announced the vehicle number in and out, which was very loud. The experience was very bad, and I would like to remind you. If you stay in this hotel, don't stay on the north side of the hotel.

This hotel boasts an unbeatable location, just a one-minute walk from the city's iconic Bell Tower. It's seamlessly connected to a large shopping mall and surrounded by a vibrant commercial area, making it incredibly convenient for shopping, leisure, and enjoying local cuisine. Transportation is also a breeze, with subway and bus stations practically at its doorstep, allowing for easy access to tourist attractions and effortless city exploration. Amenities: Luxury is evident everywhere, not just in the hardware facilities, but also in the highly professional service from everyone. Hygiene: Met expectations. Environment: A hotel located within a scenic area, so the environment gets full marks. Service: After booking, a dedicated butler proactively informed us of important details, inquired about our travel plans, and assisted with ticket booking, transfers, and guidance. They were attentive without being intrusive – highly commendable! The restaurant next to the hotel is also highly recommended. The breakfast provided was of a very high standard, with a rich variety and excellent flavors. Double Huaqing Royal Hot Spring Baoji Pool 1 entry per night: After returning from our outing, the bath had already been prepared for us, which was incredibly thoughtful! 👍 It was a very pleasant stay.

XXiaoqiyaWe stayed for two nights, on the 16th and 17th. On the 15th, I received a call from the hotel asking about our room preferences. I requested a room with a good view, non-smoking, and quiet. When we checked in, the staff assigned us room 213. This was the lowest floor I've ever stayed on in a hotel, and it was room number 13! I was surprised that the hotel actually had a room 13! How could an international hotel like this assign room 13 to a foreigner? During afternoon tea that day, besides my husband, myself, and an Asian mother and daughter, all the other guests were foreigners. This made me realize even more why I was so unlucky to get room 13! This hotel has such a unique room number 13, and they treat their own compatriots differently from foreigners! However, the smart toilet in room 13 was broken. It wouldn't automatically lift the lid or flush when you stood in front of it. What was even more unbearable was that as soon as you sat on it, the toilet would make a loud gurgling sound and automatically spray water on your backside. We tried it twice, and it happened both times. Also, the light switch was malfunctioning and didn't work. As a result, our room was changed to room 206. Neither room 13 nor room 06 had a French garden view; you could only see trees outside the window. Room 06 overlooked a concrete platform. I stayed during the off-season, and there were only a handful of guests at both afternoon tea and breakfast. Even during the peak breakfast time at 8 AM, there were only four tables with no more than ten guests. In such an off-season, why couldn't they offer us a higher floor with a better view? The male butler from the hotel called in advance on the 15th to ask about my room preferences; wasn't that just being insincere and fake? The staff's service level was inconsistent. Two female servers at afternoon tea and breakfast simply didn't observe guests' needs. The slim, tall female server in the afternoon tea restaurant had an ice-cold expression and no proactive service awareness. One female server in the breakfast restaurant looked like she hadn't woken up yet, with messy hair, no makeup, and ill-fitting work clothes, completely lacking the demeanor of a star-rated hotel employee. More importantly, this server didn't proactively observe guests' tables. Every time, we had to call her to take away the empty plates. Even more exaggerated, when she took away empty plates, she wouldn't simultaneously take away empty cups, nor would she think to ask. Let's talk about the problems with the breakfast restaurant: First, the flowers on the dining tables were fake! For a 'diamond-level' hotel like this, how can they put fake flowers on the tables? If they want to save costs, there are many ways: place some air plants or soilless succulents, or even small, easy-to-care-for plants. Anything real would be more tasteful than these fake ones. Regardless, a 'diamond-level' hotel should not have fake flowers on its dining tables. This is disrespectful to guests. Second, there was a wide variety of bread, but no chain-type toaster to heat the bread. This is usually a staple at the bread station in five-star hotels. Yet, at this 'super five-star' hotel, you can only eat cold bread for breakfast. Third, the restaurant only provided toothpicks, not dental floss sticks. Nowadays, even very ordinary restaurants offer dental floss sticks. A 'diamond-level' hotel like this should provide guests with dental floss sticks, and ideally, toothpick brushes. Additionally, the steps in the bathrooms of both room 13 and room 06 were damaged. In room 13, the hotel actually used cheap, uneven gray adhesive corner guards, which looked very out of place and clashed with the exquisite French decor. They should have used brass stair nosings! During my two-day stay at the hotel, Ms. Doris Du's kindness, politeness, proactive work attitude, and professional image left a very good impression on me. After we checked in and received our key, she led us to our room. She first gave us a tour of the hotel and introduced its history. On the day we checked out, she happened to be on duty at the front desk. She was the only staff member at the hotel who immediately stood up to greet guests upon seeing them! The only one! This small professional gesture of hers was like the first ray of sunshine in the morning, warming my heart! Recalling my check-in, there was a male and female staff member at the front desk. They did not stand up to greet us when guests checked in. When we received our room cards and got up to leave, they remained seated without moving. This is disrespectful to guests. Staff should stand up to greet guests when they arrive, ask them to sit down, and then sit down themselves to process the check-in. When guests receive their room cards and get up, the staff should also stand up to see them off. Such basic courtesies of polite welcome and farewell were completely lacking! On the day I checked in, I had two items of clothing that needed ironing. The female staff member who was on duty at the front desk that day came to our room to collect them. During the process of opening the door to see her, handing her the clothes, and briefly communicating with her, she maintained an ice-cold demeanor throughout, without a hint of a smile. She was not the only female staff member in this hotel who provided service without a smile. In summary, all these issues, and more, expose the hotel's unprofessional training and inadequate management. Sofitel Legend People's Grand Hotel Xian is not directly affiliated with the Sofitel group; it is part of the People's Grand Building owned by Shaanxi Urban Investment and Operations Group Co., Ltd., and is operated by AccorHotels, a French hotel management group. Therefore, the experience was vastly different from the Sofitel hotels I've stayed at abroad.

GGuest UserReally good service by 金,涛 & 龙! one of the best hotels we have stayed in. The staff upgraded our room and helped carry our bags and parcels to the room when we checked in. They were also really attentive to our needs. There’s also free laundry services and laundry is done by the staff so we didn’t need to wait for the washing machine to be free. The room was really clean as well. Hotel is also close to main attractions and shopping malls. Overall a pleasant stay and will recommend to anyone traveling to Xian

GGuest UserThe facilities were good, staff were generally helpful and nice. Very clean environment; generally has what you need. Very conveniently located. Some of the staff at the front desk are a bit too immature and could act a bit more professional. Apparently, they find it funny for you ask them for water; ask them a few more times and they would giggle and laugh behind your back and make fun of you; they might even horse around with you if Mandarin is not your first language and you don't speak as natively as they do. I made an add on booking for an extra night. If you need them to do anything towards the end of your stay, they might withhold service at the front desk until you give them a perfect rating; they wouldn't check me back in the hotel until I left a good rating/comment for my first booking. They forgot I that I could also rate / comment for my second booking. Basically a bunch of kids. Otherwise, hotel management seems fine. Pretty clean, the staff were generally polite.

MMishDishBishThe hotel really offers a premium, boutique hotel experience in the heart of Xi'An. They offer the bells and whistles such as a Dyson hairdryer, Marshall Bluetooth speaker, wooden handled beauty accessories such as razors, hair brushes and toothbrushes and Le Labo shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and body lotion. The room is truly spacious and each room has a small entrance way to the door, which means you do not share an entrance way with any other guest. I like that touch. The service from the staff is friendly and approachable. The bartenders in the rooftop bar seem fun and have excellent taste in music, making you feel relaxed and at ease. There is a 24/7 self-service laundry room, tea room, gym, and rooftop pool next to the rooftop bar. I cannot emphasise enough how delicious the food has been at the hotel. They spare no expenses with abalone, premium beef, caviar, smoked salmon on offer during breakfast. I really tip my hat off to the chef. I normally shy away from salads and veggies but they made it so delicious that I cleaned the plate! With meals provided daily for breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening supper, we had little need to eat out much. We truly felt spoilt. They also provide guests daily with a glass of red wine or whisky. We also ordered several cocktails over the course of our stay and can attest that their bartenders really do know what they're doing! We would love to come back to the hotel in the future for another stay and regret we did not stay longer! A few points for improvement I would like to offer as the hotel only opened in May and are keen to hear any feedback: - Having a laundry basket in each room would be helpful for guests. There does seem to be a small white satchel available but it cannot store many garments. - Whilst we requested a smoke free room, our neighbour was a smoker and we could smell the smoke of cigarettes particularly strongly in the bathroom and toilet area. Perhaps the vents run centrally across the rooms, meaning their smoke was filtering through to our room. Maybe the smoking rooms can be grouped together and the non-smoking rooms also grouped together. We do understand that there is a strong smoking culture in China and that smoking indoors is quite normal. - Whilst Le Labo is an iconic and luxurious brand, the Santal 33 line on offer was quite drying on our hair and skin. We had the pleasure of trying the Bergamote 22 line from Le Labo at a hotel in Changsha and it was very rich and nourishing which is particularly comfortable for cold, winter weather. - The final point for improvement would be to offer a restaurant reservation service. A few weeks before our arrival we requested via the Trip app for the hotel to make a restaurant reservation on our behalf to a local restaurant but was told the hotel was unable to make restaurant bookings for their guests. We had to ask the hotel we were staying at in Hangzhou to make the booking for us. As foreigners it is hard to make restaurant bookings without speaking the local language or having a local number, so any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking care of us! We had a lovely stay and look forward to coming back!

TTinaMThis is a lovely hotel with kind, welcoming staff. I read some reviews saying the rooms are very old etc, but I don't see how that makes this hotel any less great - the rooms are still clean and well maintained. I arrived in Xi'an after 48 hours of hectic traveling due to a missed train, and the staff at Meihao Hotel were very welcoming, were happy to use translation apps to communicate with me. The room was large, with a view of the neighbourhood outside (mostly just traffic jams haha, but that's Xi'an). The location may not be super ideal for some as it isn't in the city centre, but honestly it was no inconvenience at all, as the nearest subway station is a brisk walk away -- about 5-7 minutes. If you're arriving by train and carrying a lot of heavy luggage, then yes, coming via subway might be a bit of a challenge (but not impossible!) The housekeeping staff especially were very warm and kind. Thank you for always brightening my day when I walked by you all. A few hours after I checked in, a lovely staff member knocked on my door and offered me a small bowl of soup. I was very confused as I hadn't ordered anything, but upon seeing other guests were receiving this too, I gladly accepted. It was such an unexpected, kind gesture -- this hotel truly knows how to make one feel welcome. I fell ill on the second day of my stay, and thankfully the room was so comfortable, I could recuperate well. My only complaint is that the bedsheets, comforter, pillowcases etc -- all the bedding essentially smells of cigarette smoke. I could also smell cigarette smoke from beyond my room's door at night. This was despite there being a clear sign in the room saying smoking was not allowed inside. Though this is certainly not something you can fault hotel staff for (if guests are adamant to smoke inside, what can housekeeping possibly do?), I just thought I would mention this for any other guests who might be very sensitive to the smell, perhaps you could request staff to rewash the bedding until the smoke smell is entirely gone. After checking out, I also noticed there were some freebies that were part of my booking that I unfortunately missed out on :( There was meant to be welcome fruit, afternoon tea for two and a midnight snack, which I would have loved to try. There was no welcome fruit offered, but I did receive some refreshing juice when I arrived to check in -- it was a hot day and I was grateful for the welcome drink. For the other stuff, as I didn't realise it was part of the booking perks, I never asked, and consequently seem to have missed out. I also want to say that aside from the rooms, the lobby area is quite lovely -- very tastefully decorated, peaceful, and I even saw they had some free coffee out for guests! I only noticed this when I was checking out though, and my taxi was already on the way to pick me up, so I could not indulge. Maybe it would be helpful if the reception staff could share all this info with guests when they check in, especially with the foreign guests who are already a bit confused and trying to get their bearings ^-^ Just a suggestion! Thank you for a nice stay. I will definitely be back again soon.
