We were gobsmacked from the scale, wonderful amenities, photo opportunities from the matryoshka hotel. The 2 bedroom was big and spacious, supremely comfortable. Breakfast was awesome with much variety. And we appreciate the proximity to the scenic area. A great experience and good value for money. A map of the hotel with its location within the scenic area would have been perfect. Feel a bit lost within the scale of the project."

"The hotel itself was generally clean and comfortable, meeting our expectations. The business twin room was spacious enough for three of us, including a child. For two people, a basic room would offer better value for money. I especially want to praise the breakfast. We arrived at 10:15 AM, and there were no other guests, but the food was plentiful and still hot, which was great. The location on the main road made it convenient to get to the museum. However, the traffic infrastructure in Hohhot is quite outdated. Even though Dazhao Temple looked only a few kilometers away, it took half an hour by car, longer than expected. It's something to be prepared for."

"The food at the hotel was excellent, and there were so many activities to enjoy. The VIP queue experience was also great. From a value-for-money perspective, even though it was expensive, I felt it was totally worth it. However, there were a few minor shortcomings: 1. A very small number of staff members tried to shirk responsibility. When we first returned to the hotel from Xiangshawan, the waiting area was completely empty. A drowsy older gentleman told us to just get on the next jeep that arrived. As soon as the jeep pulled up, about a dozen people appeared, led by a female staff member. She immediately started bossing us around, saying it was for *them* and that we should go queue up. I was quite annoyed and said that when we arrived, there was no one here, and now that *they* have arrived, we're suddenly told to queue up, meaning we'd be stuck behind these dozen-plus people and God knows how long we'd have to wait. Seeing my strong tone, this female staff member simply said, ”I don't know,” shrunk her neck, and stayed silent. She made no effort to help us or manage the other group, acting as if we should just sort it out ourselves. Fortunately, another vehicle arrived quickly, and the driver was excellent, immediately saying there was space for everyone and that there were plenty of cars. If it weren't for the good driver, and me being tired, I would have definitely noted down the employee number of that staff member who was so aggressive at first but then immediately cowered and dodged responsibility when faced with someone assertive. 2. The wait time for the small train shuttle to and from the room was very long. I suggest informing guests how long the wait will be. The first time we left, it arrived in about 2 minutes, so I assumed it would always be quick. The second time, I waited for ten minutes and it still hadn't arrived. Only after calling again was I told it would be another five minutes. I recommend informing guests of the expected wait time during the initial booking to help them decide whether to continue waiting. Furthermore, the so-called QR code reservation system was not user-friendly at all. You couldn't note the number of people, it didn't show how many people were ahead of you, and I didn't see any time advantage. I specifically took a photo of the QR code and made a reservation while I was in the lobby, but when I went upstairs, I was still behind people who only reported their room numbers to the staff *after* arriving upstairs. Overall, the positives far outweigh the negatives, and I definitely plan to come back in the summer."

Staying in Hohhot 🏨 The room was spacious and airy, and the bathroom's three-part separation was perfect for a family trip. At night, the city lights outside the window created a wonderful ambiance. It was clean and comfortable, allowing us to rest well after a day of travel. It really made our trip feel complete.

Yesterday I was drunk and went to the hotel opposite my work to get an hourly room to rest. The purpose of rest was to work better. After sleeping all morning, I was resurrected with full blood in the afternoon and could work hard again. Overall the hotel is quite quiet and the facilities are relatively old, but the advantage is that it is close to the company, just opposite the unit.

The hotel’s location was very convenient — it’s right next to some of Hohhot’s major hospitals, which made getting around quite easy. The room was clean, and although there was no central heating, the air conditioner provided enough warmth. Our room faced the main road, so it was a bit noisy at times. Also, there was no mini-bar/fridge in the room, which was a bit inconvenient. Communication with the staff was slightly challenging since they don’t speak English, but we managed. Overall, it was a decent stay with good cleanliness and a convenient location.

I had a pleasant stay at this place. The rooms and facilities were very clean, and the manager was exceptionally kind and welcoming. The service was also friendly and attentive. Although the breakfast selection was somewhat limited, the food was tasty and enjoyable. Another thing I appreciated was that the hotel was not overcrowded, which made the atmosphere quiet and relaxing. Overall, I had a very good experience and would be happy to stay here again. Overall, my stay was average, with the room experience being a definite highlight, but the check-in process significantly impacted the overall impression. It was a stay with very clear pros and cons. First, let's talk about the room's strengths, which was the most satisfying part of this stay. The room was incredibly spacious, with no cramped or stuffy feeling. Whether traveling alone or with companions, there was more than enough room to move around. The overall cleanliness of the room was excellent; the floors, tables, bedding, and bathroom areas were all spotless, with no stains, dust, or strange odors. Attention to detail was evident. The indoor lighting and ventilation were great; the windows were clear, providing ample natural light during the day, making the room bright and airy with good air circulation, preventing any stuffiness. Additionally, the mattress and pillows were just right – not too soft, not too firm – and the furniture arrangement was practical. The overall living comfort was good, perfectly meeting the needs for daily rest or a temporary stay. The hardware conditions are quite outstanding for accommodations in this price range. Upon arrival, I found that there were a lot of guests checking in, and the front desk had a long, dense queue. We waited in the lobby for a very long time, which was a significant drain on time and energy, especially waiting with luggage. This greatly diminished the experience. During peak hours, with many guests, it's easy for people to pile up in queues and experience congested waiting times, which is very unfriendly to travelers who are on a tight schedule and want to check in quickly to rest. In summary, the hotel's room hardware, hygiene, and living comfort are commendable, making for a very good living experience. However, the excessively long wait during peak check-in times dragged down the overall check-in experience.

The room was spotless, and the soundproofing was excellent. Breakfast was incredibly rich and varied; the lamb shaomai was particularly authentic, and the lamb offal soup was absolutely delicious – highly recommend both! What truly stood out was the genuine and professional service team. From the warm milk the housekeeping auntie discreetly replenished daily to the help with planning my travel itinerary, every little detail exuded a heartwarming, 'home-like' feeling. Upon check-out, the front desk even gave me a souvenir gift, a thoughtful gesture that instantly melted away any travel fatigue. Xin Cheng Hotel isn't just a place to rest; it's a living cultural museum. It tells stories through its architecture, conveys local charm through its cuisine, and embodies warmth through its service. Environment: The room was quite spacious with wooden floors and a tea table, and the tea cabinet was very convenient. It was a good choice for staying with parents. Facilities: I suggest putting up signs for the shower and sink stoppers. I had to ask the front desk to figure out how to use them. The trash can was too small; during peak season, with lots of purchases, there's also a lot of trash. The room lights weren't labeled, which was inconvenient – I had to try them all to see what they controlled. I really didn't expect water scarcity at night during peak season. A hotel in a tourist city without running water, relying on a water tank refill?! Service: The daytime housekeeping staff were very good and patiently answered questions. The front office service was also good, but they were reluctant to tell us how long the water refill would take when the water stopped at night. I don't quite understand why; if they had just been honest and said it would take about half an hour, guests would understand. Waiting without information is definitely not a good experience. The hotel didn't offer welcome fruit. For breakfast, there was no bread or coffee, but the 'shaomai' (steamed dumplings) and lamb offal soup were delicious. I couldn't get used to the 'min dou mian' (mung bean noodles); it wasn't chewy and seemed to be made from potatoes. Hygiene: No issues. Overall, the value for money was decent, especially being close to attractions, but the details still need improvement.
