Overall, a pretty terrible experience – definitely avoid this place: 1. I arrived at the hotel around 10 AM and was told I absolutely couldn't check in until 3 PM, with zero flexibility. 2. The hotel itself is quite low-end, and the management is very haphazard and chaotic. During the day, there were a bunch of workers doing what looked like painting or renovations, and the entire hallway reeked of banana oil. 3. After being out all day, I finally checked in around 11 or 12 PM. I had booked an executive room, but they immediately told me there was only one left, clearly trying to pull a fast one. Since I had my child with me and just wanted to rest, I didn't argue then. Later, I tried to claim a refund for the price difference through Ctrip, which was a very reasonable request. However, after Ctrip contacted the hotel, they actually lied and claimed they had offered me breakfast, which was a blatant falsehood. 4. The hotel's cleanliness was mediocre, and the facilities were quite subpar. When I checked in that night, there was a crowd of dirty-looking Sri Lankans lining up to check in. 5. The safe in the room lacked basic instruction labels. I tried to use it a couple of times and ended up locking my belongings inside. Around midnight, a staff member came to open it with a master code, then told me he was leaving and that I'd have to ask another staff member the next day for proper usage instructions. I took a few photos – seriously, steer clear of this place!

The room was very nice, the boss was very nice, and he also provided a rich breakfast. It is also very convenient to go to various tourist attractions. It's also very close to the city. The overall feeling of staying here is very relaxing!

Very good stay in general. Around 10 minutes walk from all the day trip pick up locations (e.g. Brooke Street Pier). The facilities were amazing and the front desk staff members were all very supportive and helpful. Loved the welcome cookies!! The room was big and we received daily clean ups. We visited the pool and also utilised the gym during our stay as well - very good facilities. The bathroom wall was a bit think as we could vaguely hear people next door, but the room was completely fine - could not hear a thing. Would recommend to all types of travellers and will definitely stay again if we are visiting Hobart again!

This is a very nice hotel with high rise hotels and lower rise buildings of rooms which are quieter and next to the water. The view is fabulous, services is great and there are lots of restaurants and bars around. I will recommend this place to anyone visiting Hobart.

The hotel has a great central location, high up with nice views. There are plenty of shopping and dining options within walking distance. The staff are warm and attentive. The room size is decent, though the amenities are somewhat limited. The bed is very comfortable. However, the soundproofing is quite poor.

Extremely Terrible Experience – Inhumane & Unacceptable Service I am writing this review to strongly condemn this hotel’s extremely cold-blooded and unethical service, and to warn all travelers never to stay here. 1. Inhumane treatment of an elderly guest with serious health conditions Check-out time is 10:00 AM, which is already unreasonably early. It was raining heavily that day, with nowhere to go. My father, nearly 70 years old, with 3 heart stents and long-term hypertension, felt unwell and exhausted from the trip, and desperately needed to rest longer. I communicated politely multiple times and even offered to pay extra to extend check-out until 12:00 noon, but was ruthlessly refused every time. I had already checked out one of the two rooms early; I only asked to keep one room for my father to rest. The staff were extremely harsh, rigid, and totally lacking in empathy. They only allowed a 1-hour extension until 11:00 AM, and spoke to me in a very severe and accusatory tone, as if we had committed a mistake. 2. Severe service failure upon check-in I had asked Ctrip to inform the hotel 3 DAYS in advance that I booked two rooms, one requiring twin beds. However, I still had to wait 2 FULL HOURS for them to rearrange the beds on the day of check-in. 3. Extremely poor value for money I spent over HK$9,000 for two rooms for one night, only to receive zero care and respect for an elderly guest with serious medical conditions. This hotel has no compassion, no service ethics, no humanity. Absolutely unacceptable. Strongly NOT recommended. 极差体验 —— 冷漠无情、毫无医德的服务 我写这条评价，是为了强烈谴责这家酒店极其冷血、毫无职业道德的服务，并警告所有旅客千万不要入住。 1. 对高龄重病长辈冷漠无情 酒店退房时间为上午10点，本就远早于大多数酒店。 当天下大雨，无处可去。 我父亲年近70岁，心脏装有3个支架，长期高血压，旅途劳累身体不适，急需多休息。 我多次礼貌沟通，甚至主动提出付费延到12点退房，均被无情拒绝。 我已经提前退掉一间房，只希望保留一间让父亲休息。 工作人员态度极其强硬、冷漠、毫无同理心。 最终只勉强同意延到11点，且语气严厉、态度恶劣，仿佛我们犯了错。 2. 入住服务严重失职 我已提前3天通过携程明确要求：两间房，其中一间为双床房。 结果入住当天仍被迫等待2小时，酒店才临时拆分床铺。 3. 性价比极差、体验恶劣 我一晚两间房共消费9000多港币，却换来对高龄病患客人的无视与不尊重。 这家酒店毫无同情心、毫无服务底线、毫无人情味。 完全无法接受，强烈不推荐！

View outside the hotel room the superb, superb and superb. Inside the hotel area there is farm with animals, you can feed them by getting the food grains from the reception. The fruits farm allows you to pick your favourite fruits ie apples, cherries, grapes, plum etc as long as they are available. If the weather is good, you could have chance to see aurora and Milky Way outside of your hotel. In overall, everything is just perfect staying here. Highly recommended.

Fantastic stay. This is also one of the closest accommodations to the visitor centre.  Absolutely cosy vibes with the wooden interior and balcony. Space is big with lots of room to navigate, and have separate areas for to do different things.  Lounge area has games (and heating, of course) if you are locked in by the weather which I thought was a nice touch. There is also a library of DVDs for you to borrow from if you’d like (lots of kids friendly titles). You can also see cradle mountain from the lounge area. Kitchenette was also well furnished with sufficient items for us to do our cooking (you’d know that there aren’t much amenities in the area, please arrive prepared), including salt, pepper, and oil which other places may not actually didn’t provide in a kitchenette. 

During our recent stay at the Tasman Luxury Hotel, we were fortunate to have the exceptional service provided by Tayla and Ebony, who truly went above and beyond to ensure that our experience was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, their warm and welcoming demeanor made us feel right at home. They were attentive to our needs, offering personalized recommendations and assistance that enhanced our stay significantly. One of the highlights of our mornings was breakfast at Peppina, the hotel's on-site restaurant. The breakfast menu featured a delightful array of options, from freshly baked pastries to hearty, made-to-order dishes. Each meal was prepared with care and presented beautifully, making it a pleasure to start our day. The atmosphere at Peppina was equally inviting, with a charming decor that complemented the delicious food, creating a perfect setting for a leisurely breakfast. In the evenings, we enjoyed drinks at Mary Mary, another fantastic venue within the hotel. The bar had a vibrant yet relaxed ambiance, making it an ideal spot to unwind after a day of exploring. The cocktail menu was impressive, featuring both classic favorites and innovative creations crafted by skilled mixologists. Each drink we ordered was expertly made and beautifully garnished, adding to the overall experience. Overall, our stay at the Tasman Luxury Hotel was a true testament to hospitality at its finest. The combination of exceptional service from Tayla and Ebony, along with delightful dining experiences at Peppina and Mary Mary, created a memorable getaway that we will cherish for a long time. We left feeling rejuvenated and grateful for the outstanding care we received throughout our visit.

The room photos on Trip.com were taken when the room was brand new. It clearly is no longer the case now - some staining on the curtains and soft furniture and marks on walls. Overall, for the price, it's still acceptable. Check-in is done at the bar like most similar types of accommodation above a pub. Bedding is exceptionally comfortable - special mention of the supremely comfortable mattress and pillows. 5-star bed. Water pressure in the shower is weak - 60% of what I would have liked. Bottled water and milk in the fridge is a nice touch. Crockery and cutlery provided in the kitchen. You will have to lug your luggage up 1 flight of stairs as there's no lift.
