Rip RipWas expecting more given the price we paid, apparently already considered low season.
The pool lagoon was disappointing and expected higher standards, more staff and cleanliness.
Hotel restaurant food expensive unless ******** and apparently would have great discount.
Room service was good and value for money.
Expected small amenities like free bottled water to be more generous given the heat. Apparently just 2 bottles per check in although we stayed 2 nights .
Bathroom and toiletries reasonable although bathroom door had a drum which made it inconvenient to open as door swung closed automatically ..

For me, there are several factors when it comes to reviewing a hotel. In this case, the property mainly operates as a pub and restaurant, with the hotel as more of an add-on feature.
Location: 5 stars, no doubt. It’s right in the CBD, making it super convenient to walk around and access nearby places.
Room: Spacious, clean, well-equipped, and facing the pool—so at least there’s a nice view. However, there are a few downsides. The rooms are not soundproof at all. Since there are live performances at the open-space pub right below from about 6–10pm, expect some noise. Even after the music ends, you can still hear people chatting downstairs. And just fyi there is no toothpaste, and indoor flip flop.
Wi-Fi: This was the biggest issue. Even though I stayed in the room closest to the router (as staff mentioned) and the hotel has two networks—one for pub guests and one for hotel guests—the signal basically disappeared once I stepped into my room. My phone couldn’t connect at all unless I went outside, and while my iPad could connect, the connection kept dropping every 15–20 minutes. I had to manually reconnect each time. I’m not an IT expert, but it seems like they might be using a small-scale or shared network that struggles when too many users are online.
Aside from that, everything else was fine. The staff were supportive, and both check-in and check-out were smooth—especially check-out, which was quick and hassle-free.

Guest UserThe cabins are excellent, spacious with a vaulted wooden ceiling, comfy bed, good shower and spotlessly clean. It is quiet and 20-25 mins walk from the centre of Alice Springs. The reception staff were very helpful and there is a locked room for luggage storage.

100% recommend this place! The staff is simply amazing and kind. The guy at the reception which we assume to be the manager was so helpful and accommodating. The room was nice and we liked the new decoration ! Please do yourself a favor and come stay at this place. Also loved the private parking, helped us to sleep better knowing our car is secured.

Meglou28The hostel was close to the bus stop and town which was really handy. The facilities were good and seemed clean. It’s a shame reception isn’t open for longer to be able to ask staff any questions.

無人性地The hotel was reasonably clean, and towels were changed daily. The air conditioning was strong, almost too cold at night. They offered a free shuttle to the supermarket, and there were plenty of activities available if you were willing to pay. I also noticed some large rocks in different locations.

Guest UserI was very satisfied with the spacious room and clean shower.
It was a bit of a struggle carrying my luggage up to the second floor via the stairs, as I couldn't find the elevator. However, I'm guessing being on the second floor might mean fewer bugs.

The check in experience was not good. Room was fully paid for but had to provide credit card even though I don't have one. Desk clerk made it quite clear that any damage would need to be paid for. why, because I am Aboriginal (he did not say this but it was clear in his attitude). He also mentioned about guests.
for a company that makes a substantial amount of money from the Aboriginal community it is sad that you have prejudiced people welcoming guests.

The Mercure is the pick of the Darwin Airport hotels and they capitalize on their airport location by cranking up the price. Also our flight came into Darwin after midnight and the airport shuttle phone number they provided was unanswered so we endured the 9 minute walk from the airport with our cases. Checked in about 1:00 and requested a late check out. The hotel had plenty of availability but they still charged $60 for the privilege. Rooms are comfortable but looking a bit tatty now. Even so we had a nice , but short stay
