Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill
4.4/599 Reviews
We loved the Shaker Village at Pleasant Hill and we will absolutely come back and bring our Texas family and friends with us. I can't say enough wonderful words about our two night stay and the beauty, quietness, peace, and fresh air walking. We had a TV but didn't even think about using it -or our car. We Love you, Shaker Village! Please don't change anything you are doing. Sometimes, we just need to get away from the city, the traffic, the TV, the computers and just breathe fresh air and walk between the quiet relaxing buildings, history, beautiful landscaping and step back into the 200 year old world and sleep in the historical rooms. We loved it and will be back and recommend it to all our Texas friends. (and while we were there, we tried to eat at the Trustee Table restaurant as much as we could for added quiet environment!).
Quality Inn Lexington East-Hamburg Area

Drove over 1300 kms from Duneden Florida to Lexington Kentucky and just wanted to sleep. Room 140 ground floor so no steps. Perfect. Right? Not so fast. Both beds had stained coverings and the night table still had stains from a prior guest's glass. I went to the front desk and mentioned that the stained coverings should be cleaned before the next guest arrives. I didn't want to move, I just wanted to crash. Bed was comfortable and slept fine. In the morning I showered but couldn't believe that I was left with a bath mat and towel that had thread bare spots. See pictures. If I had stayed at a friend's house I would say something so why not here? They should be ashamed!

Nice big rooms with separate sitting area. Two televisions, one in each area. The room was clean and had everything we needed for our last night stay on this trip. I like the split bathroom concept. Breakfast was conventional hotel breakfast. The staff was nice at check in. I didn't see anyone at check out. We slept pretty good although they were giving tornado warnings.

Room was excellent but during the night air conditioning leaked water on bed and my husband rolled into it. Otherwise good

We don’t spend a lot of time in our room. Room was clean and service was great. We’d rather spend our money on adventures and food, not lodging. This was more than adequate and we taxied to food and tourism. Desk staff provided a map and recommendations for food and fun. I would stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay at this motel. The guys at the front desk were really great and took time to make sure our stay was enjoyable. Very nice hotel. One of the workers brightened our night the first night. Really appreciated it. Thank you
