Nice,comfortable hotel opposite Gare du Flandres, less than 10 mins walk to Lille Europe for the Eurostar and TGV connections. Plenty of places to eat nearby. Spent two nights there. Room was a little on the small side but perfectly adequate. Impressed by the fact that the hotel acted quickly to rectify a problem with the sink in our room.

I was staying between the 24th of May and the 27th of May and I had my hotel was robbed by two men who broke in through the back door of the hotel. Having reviewed the security tapes, I saw that the staff were not adequately protecting that particular exit, and after dealing with the police the staff have been disappointingly unhelpful. My deposit has not been refunded after three weeks, I've emailed the hotel at various points to ask for an update concerning the deposit and my police report and they did not respond, I had to call them myself after no reply and they admitted that it would take up to two months for the deposit to be refunded! Insanity. A terrible experience, one of the worst I've had at a hotel. Never come here, they do not care about you.

Great hotel located near the Vieux Lille (10 min-walk). Although the hotel is right across the main train station, the rooms are quiet. The staff was very friendly, welcoming and helpful when we had questions. The possibility to book a parking spot in a near-guarded private parking is a plus when you come with your own car and want to visit places or museums outside of Lille. The rooms are very clean and have good air conditioning for those who need it. I do recommend La Valiz for those who go to Lille for a weekend or a few days and plan to visit the city and its surroundings.

Very close to the trainstation, centre and inner city as well as the shopping center Euralille. The room is quiet, has good A/C and shower and well sized comfortable bed.

Room was clean enough (although we found a Velcro hair curler from a past guest in the bathroom) but the main problem was the horrible smell from the shower drain. We kept the sliding door closed as much as possible so the room wouldn’t smell but it was quite unpleasant. We did ask for help on this from management but no solution, and it sounded like they’ve had this problem before. Would not recommend due to this issue.

Comfy bed. Room is small but cozy and well design. Working AC, hot water kettle, chic decor, and beautiful view overlook the train station with a balcony. Window is well insulated I was able to sleep really well (not hearing the noises outside)

Pleasant stay, personnel very kind and available to help, splendid location close by rail stations and city center. Room very clean, bed comfortable, breakfast good enough for a simple selection of international food.
