Overall a very comfortable stay at the hotel. As it was conveniently situated near the railway and metro station. Hotel has a lot of food choices nearby and supermarkets. There is a starbucks in a vintage building just down the road too. Ubereats is simple and drivers can drop off their food at the door for collection. A very mixture of service provided by staff. Most were very welcoming and polite. The tall manager with specs, who assisted us during our check out early morning was very helpful.

We stayed here for 4 nights. Before commenting on the hotel, we wanted to share some of our own experiences with those who travelled to this hotel on their own. We arrived at the airport at about 5pm and went to the Flying Dog Bus counter as suggested by the Forum members. Based on the information we found, the bus was supposed to take us to the hotel or close enough to the hotel. But instead, we were told they would not take us to the hotel door until after six o'clock. Before 6 o'clock, they will only put guests on the designated bus route and then take a taxi to the location they are going to. In short, if you arrive at the airport before 5:30, then it is recommended to take the Guoguang bus. After the next time at the terminal (Taipei Central Station), take the MRT to Ximending. Pros: -The location is good. It takes only a few minutes to walk to the nearest MRT Ximending Station. -All rooms have free Internet access. Try using the wireless connection. If you don't have a network cable yourself, you can borrow one from the front desk. - Basic supplies: hairdryer, kettle, free bottled water and tea - very clean Cons - hotel entrance hidden in a narrow alley and easy to miss. Just look for the World Express pastry shop on the main road. There are huge neon lights on the top side of the hotel, which is useful when looking for it from a distance. - Shower and bathtub are integrated. As a business hotel, we expect them to install a shower curtain, but maybe they think it will cost too much. So you can imagine the mess after each shower. -No useful maps available. Those maps that could be used only marked the subway line, and there was no address information or anything like that. - the lighting in the room was poor. It was too dark for ladies who wanted to make up. -Close to a government building, so if you want to walk around naked in the room, it is recommended to close the curtains. -The front desk clerk doesn't seem to know much about the attractions. -Breakfast coupons are issued at the front desk every morning, dining at the fast food restaurant on the main road, just at the exit of the narrow alley. There are about four or five packages to choose from, but the two must be the same (for both of us)! That is so stupid! The food is not good either.

After the Xinyi Line opened last year, it has a very superior location. Why do many Taipei people do not know that it exists, because it is on the upper floor of the East Gate Post Office, and the door is on the cross street next to the post office, so most people are walking on Xinyi Road and will not pay attention to it, but it is just opposite the intersection of Xinyi Road, Lishui Street. The adjacent Yongkang Street is 100 meters away. The reception hall is on the 3rd floor and the 4-12th floors are all guest rooms. This is the third time I have stayed at Jiamei, and the quality of service is still maintained. The room is large, the bed is very comfortable to sleep, and the pillows are not hard,-I feel that it is dawn, only-a small episode. It will be repaired in half an hour without affecting the accommodation. Breakfast-it is simple, but there are porridge, green vegetables, omelette, bread milk, coffee, fruit, so that you can eat very full, feel satisfied, I highly recommend Jiamei, and I will go to stay again when I have the opportunity.

The location is very close to Exit 2 of Ximen Station (Exit 3 is close and has an escalator) Opposite the hotel There is a seven convenience store just a few steps to the left in front of the hotel. Crossing the road, you will see the red building Check in on the 2nd floor There is a washing machine and microwave on the third floor It was obviously not renovated and there was no restaurant in sight. The road didn't bother me, so I got up early and went out to Ximending to hunt for wild food😬 If you go to Taipei Main Station from your hotel to buy souvenirs, you only need to take one stop to the North Gate. Follow the directions and you'll be there soon

The cleanliness of the hotel room is such a disappointment. The bathroom wall grouting & silicon was moldy, and spider webs were in the room. The TV and aircon vent were super dusty. The aircon, even off, was extremely cold. The overall cleanliness is terrible, with noticeable dust accumulating in several areas. It was disappointing and not up to the hygiene standards one would expect from a hotel room. To make matters worse, the cleanliness issues persisted even after the room was supposedly cleaned. The bathroom grouting remained moldy, spider webs lingered, and the attendant neglected to vacuum away the hairs on the floor. The bed has insects, indicating a lack of thorough cleaning. This consistent neglect of hygiene standards throughout my stay was disappointing and unacceptable. This lack of attention to detail further emphasized the subpar cleanliness standards, contributing to an unsatisfactory stay.

I live in a single room. Some of the walls are made of wooden boards. There are also signs of water seepage around the windows. Some of the walls are between the boards. Having said that, the toilet is very big. It's a pity that the reflective paper pasted on the windows is It was so quiet, and I was afraid of the spring sunshine. I had to put up newspapers to cover myself, so I could take a shower safely. The bed and sheets were clean, but the carpet was a bit worn. The double room my friend stayed in was just a normal room, and it looked good. I looked at it The triple room is also very spacious! The hotel is in a good location. Love the location which is at the Ximending area and in front of the subway exit, convenient to roam till late at night. However disappointed upon finding out the room we stay due to the lack of details upon booking. It was advertised as room with window but not able to open. But in fact it is a small window (around 60cm? Width) facing the next building window hence need to close it all the time. Perhaps it would be better to know ahead that this is a room without window or view to avoid disappointment. Bed is firm and size of the room is good. Design of toilet and shower area is good but the choice of tiles could be better to avoid mold which is apparent at the shower area. Breakfast spread is decent and healthier choice kind.

I was shy and asked the service staff ”I didn't eat enough, can I order another one” ”Yes, what kind of food do you want?”, accompanied by a smile throughout the whole process, and I can patiently explain that I need to wait for a while for the current meal. I immediately moved the score and added a lot of points. Services are mostly the same. Service that satisfy customers is important, but service that impresses customers is often unavailable. When visiting Ximending in the future, the ”Energy Hotel Ximending” is definitely my first choice.

Very good location, not far from Ximending. There's a lot of food in that area and there's a 2nd hand shop as well. The owner of the hotel is very cute and hospitable. The rooms may not be very spacious. It is more suitable for people who do not have a lot of luggage. But I sleep comfortably. Coincidentally, we reserved a room that accommodates 4 people, but actually only 2 people stayed. It felt okay, not too uncomfortable, but the room might not keep sound very well.

- Paid extra for a better room, Totally Worth It! Big and clean, but no view - Great location, easy access to the Taipei main station. I can get to anywhere easily. My Tainan friend caught a High Speed Rail to visit me, it was easy for her to get here - I would recommend to go straight up to the ground and drag your suitcase on the street with you if you are taking the Airport Express to Taipei station (Do not walk all the way to the MRT train closet exit because there are stairs) - I like the restroom, bathtub and shower. The Japanese washlet is fantastic because you cannot just throw toilet paper in the toilet in Taiwan - Bed is a bit too firm for me, personally prefer softer mattress - Breakfast has limited choices, I wish there are more - Staffs are very helpful and friendly. I was waiting for a shop to restock something, since I didn’t have a local number, I left the hotel number to the shop, and big thanks to Peggy for her help!!!

I chose the hotel due to its location. It is across the road from the museum, has a convenience store close by, plenty of food places, and a Metro station is just 200m away with the main railway station just 400m away. My room had wifi/internet and a bar fridge. I stayed here twice and was mostly satisfied. Better rooms are on the front of the building. The back rooms have no view and sound carries between them via a light well. English speaking by staff is mixed. They do have a left luggage facility if you arrive early or are departing late. Not all staff understand such requests.
